Dr. James Smigielski is always staying with the newest technologies dentistry has to offer. He attends the annual dental convention and fulfills his training quota. He is a member, and in good standing with the American Dental Association. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1992 and has been practicing dentistry ever since. He has practiced in Riverside at his current office since 1996. A lot of his patients simply call him Dr. Jim.
He has also travelled twice to Guatemala for several weeks in 2004 and 2005 to provide free dentistry and supplies to the local population of a small town named Gualan in the poor region of Zacappa. He has been helping hundreds of people there who could not afford to see a dentist.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, his wife Martina and his two young sons Logan and Jack. He is a huge Chicago White Sox fan and loves going to the games. He also has a passion for comic books, which he has been collecting since childhood. His favorite characters are Spiderman and Batman. His Assistants are Nina Marrin, Juanita Reyes and at the front desk greeds you Kathrine Koson.

I have referred my brother my sister-in-law and anyone I know Dr. James!He is absolutely amazing and such a great guy makes you feel so at ease and he looks like superman!

Dr. Smigielski is awesome! I had oral surgery at a dentist office in Chicago, and my stitches had popped open and I had became nervous that my gum was infected. I called his office and his secretary was so sweet, I explained to her my situation and she said just come on in and we will take a look and see what's going on. I came in that same day 20 minutes later and was seen. He explained to me what had happened with my gum where the tooth was removed and did his best to make me comfortable. I had formed a dry socket and he applied something to pack it with to make the bone comfortable. He did this all out of the kindness in his heart, and even told me if it is still bothering me to come back while it is healing and he will apply more. I will definitely be making my future dentist appointments with him! He's a great guy and definitely knows his stuff!!

Dr Jim is one of the most professional and caring dentists I've ever visited. I originally visited him for wisdom teeth extraction having never visited him before. Even when I needed a root canal which I was told is the one of the most dreadful experiences ever, it was a piece of cake. The entire experience has had me return even when I moved 45 mins away because I trust him and his great work.
