Dr. Larry was born, raised, and educated in Chester County, and he has been creating exceptional smiles here for the past 40 years! He established his practice in 1975 with the goal of bringing the ultimate orthodontic practice to his hometown. Creating great smiles, watching patients self-image improve, and achieving optimum health and functioning occlusion are still as exciting to him today as they were when he first started. Dr. Larry started his destination toward a career in orthodontics by undertaking pre-dental studies at West Chester University. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from nearby Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Larry graduated with honors, including membership in the exclusive Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He continued his education at Temple University, receiving his certificate of specialty in orthodontics.

Dr. Larry believes that education is a lifelong journey. That is why he has worked to become a board-certified orthodontist and continuously takes courses and seminars on the latest technologies and procedures. He participates with the Schulman Study Group, which consists of 125 of the top practices that meet yearly and share their best management and clinical ideas. Our patients benefit from the collective wisdom and experiences of shared ideas from these practices.

Dr. Larry knows that his patients deserve the best, and he strives to always provide the highest quality services. In fact, Dr. Larry has been voted by his peers a Top Orthodontist as reported by Philadelphia Magazine. Dr. Larry also teaches at Temple Universitys Orthodontic Department as a part-time clinical professor. The orthodontic residents voted him the Best Teacher of the Year in 2015!

Dr. Larry and his wife, Kathryn, live in West Chester. They are extremely proud of their five children and ten grandchildren. Dr. Larry's son Christopher works with Dr. Larry as a board certified orthodontist. Dr. Larry is proud to have taught his daughter, Kendra, who has also joined the Club Smed Team!

When not in the office, you will find Dr. Larry spending time with his family. He also enjoys golfing, skiing, and traveling. He is an avid sports fan and follows local teams as well as Philadelphia sports.

Dr. Chris loves his job, and it shows! Each and every day, Dr. Chris brings enthusiasm and a great sense of humor to the office. He loves to laugh with his patients and have a great time! Dr. Chris always knew he wanted to be an orthodontist. He especially aspired to become one after spending summers in his father's office as an assistant. He appreciated the incredible impact that orthodontics can have on patients' lives, and wanted to help his community with the unique ability of helping their smiles be beautiful and numerous!

Dr. Chris pursued his goal and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from James Madison University in Virginia. After leaving JMU, he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he also completed Temple's MBA program. He graduated with honors and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. Dr. Chris went on to complete an orthodontic residency program at Temple University School of Dentistry, where he was Chief Resident. There he earned his certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree.

Although Dr. Chris has finished his required schooling, he is constantly learning about new technologies and methods in orthodontics. He is passionate about giving his patients the highest quality care, and is always bringing wonderful advances to our office, and elsewhere. Dr. Chris teaches at the orthodontic department at Temple University.

Dr. Chris residesin West Chester with his two children, Jackson and Alexandra, and a wonderful cat named Tipsy. When not in the office, you will find Dr. Chris on the golf course. He enjoys playing with his children and cheering on our Philly sports teams.

Drs. Larry and Chris are proud to announce that they have recently been named Top Orthodontists in the Philadelphia area by the Philadelphia Magazine. This award is determined by a vote of their peers.

Dr. Kendra grew up in West Chester where she graduated from Great Valley High School. For as long as she can remember, she has always known the healthcare field was in her future. Her fathers enthusiasm for dentistry and the changes he made in peoples lives by transforming their smiles led her to pursue the orthodontic field. She is very excited to bepracticingwith her father and older brother.

Dr. Kendra finds it very rewarding to be able to help patients of all ages achieve and maintain functional, beautiful smiles. To do this, she has received the education and training patients can feel confident in.

She majored in Biology at West Chester University and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2008 from Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry. She graduated summa cum laude from dental school and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.

Dr. Kendra then went on to complete her orthodontic residency at Temple University's Kornberg School of Dentistry where she earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology.

Dr. Kendra is committed to continuing education in order to offer her patients the most up-to-date techniques and treatment options so they can achieve the amazing results as quickly and comfortably as possible. She is a member of the Schulman Study Group, a prestigious orthodontic study club of top orthodontists in the nation, in addition to several professional organizations that provide the opportunity for continuous study:

When not in the office, Dr. Kendra can be found spending time with her children and family. She also spends a good bit of her free time caring for her animals and out riding her horse, Cleo. Dr. Kendra enjoys skiing and snowboarding, reading, and spending time at the beach as well.

At Smedley Orthodontics, our friendly, dedicated, and energetic orthodontic team is committed to working with you and your family to create a positive orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice. Our staff is an experienced team of well-trained professional. The staff has more than 140 years of service at Club Smed. Patients benefit tremendously from this dedication, experience, and continuity of personnel. Yearly the staff attends continuing education courses and seminars.

Connie and her husband Mike have two children Michael and Heidi, and an adorable granddaughter Rachel. Connie is our resident gardener, cook, and jelly maker. Anyone who has tasted her strawberry jam is hooked for life.

Linda is the office coordinator and has been a member of Club Smed for more than 20 years. She started out part-time at the front desk while her children were young. What she loves most about her adventure at Club Smed is being able to meet and greet our patients and seeing them transform during their treatment.

Her responsibilities include opening the office daily, preparing the schedules (months in advance), balancing the financial day sheets, handling phone calls, and appointing the patients in a timely fashion with a Club Smed smile. Linda is very proud to be a team member at Club Smed where you will find our doctors very educated and caring; and a well-trained staff who are happy to assist you.

Linda and husband Jon have five children, four grandchildren, and a very lively shepherd/husky named Winston. When not at Club Smed, you can find her making memories with her grandchildren and family.

Suzanne has been working with the Club Smed team since 1989, giving her more than 20 years of experience. You can find Suzanne at the front desk most of the time (when she's not in the kitchen having another snack). However, Suzanne is cross-trained as a treatment coordinator, as well as help when needed to assist in the clinic.

Melanie is one of our clinical technicians and has been part of Club Smed team since 1999. She has more than 15 years of orthodontic experience. In addition to assisting, she also does the advertising and Club Smed newsletters and helps with the front desk. But you can usually find her in the records room doing what she loves best. Taking before and after diagnostic records of our patients. She enjoys helping to ease the nerves of our first timers as well as seeing the final beautiful smiles that are created at Club Smed.

Judy and Daryl bring something very unique to our Club Smed office, which is our in-house lab. Having an in-house lab means we are able to provide our patients with faster service. We can start a patient weeks sooner by not having to wait for a send out appliance. In some cases, we can even replace a lost or broken retainer the same day! Between them, they bring 58 years of orthodontic expertise to our practice.

When Judy is not at Club Smed, you will most likely find her taking care of her first granddaughter, Bella. She has lived in Eagle all her life, and continues to reside there with her husband Rhys. They have two sons Neal and Travis, and two dogs Ringo and Haley.

Daryl started working for Club Smed right out of high school as an assistant. She lives in Glenmoore and enjoys spending time with her husband Victor, three grown children (Corey, Alyssa, and Erica), and their dogs, Cole and Oboe.
