Dr. Nguyen moved to Utah from southern California in 2013. She obtained a Bachelor in Biological Sciences from the University of California Irvine and graduated Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan in 2017.

Dr. Nielson Ashton grew up in the Millcreek area and lives about five minutes from our practice. He has struggled his entire life with the gift of two last names and now simply goes by Neil. He graduated from Olympus high school and was apart of their wrestling team. He went on a LDS mission to Haiti and has returned several times on humanitarian trips to perform dentistry for the people there. He did his undergrad at Brigham Young University and went to dental school at Temple University in Pennsylvania. When he returned to Utah, he did a one-year residency at the University of Utah where he received additional training in implants, wisdom teeth removal and bone grafting. He has been practicing for over 6 years and has two dental practices; Smart Dental Care in Holladay and Westways Dental in West Valley City. He and is wife Kirsten have been blessed with beautiful little girl named Aurora. They enjoy traveling and the outdoors. Dr. Ashton is very handy and loves restoring old trucks. He takes pride in his work and is a great dentist. He continues to update the offices with the latest technology and endeavors to have a cutting edge practice. He truly cares about the well-being of his patients and takes great care of his staff. He is a hands-on dentists and regularly follows-up with patients, after procedures, to be sure they are well. He aspires to make his mark in dentistry by creating a legacy of exceptional dentistry with a personal gentle touch and an office that is trustworthy and treats its patients like family.
Jacqueline is a passionate dental professional with 13 years of working experience in many fields, including pediatric, oral surgery, cosmetic, and general dentistry. Originally from Utah, she has also spent time living and practicing in Arkansas and Tennessee, where she graduated from an expanded functions program. Jacqueline recently moved back to Utah with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, and climbing in her free time.
Karli has over seven years experience in dentistry and is a dental assistant rock star! She has an incredible work ethic and she keeps this place running. She is an yoga instructor and teaches classes on the side. She grew up in this area and has a huge family. She is recently married and her baby is her dog Gato. She enjoys a healthy lifestyle and working out and loves the outdoors and traveling. She recently went on a trip to Cancun and has several other trips in the worksincluding Glassier National Park, Ireland and France. She is a an exceptional dental assistant and goes out of her way to be sure patients are taken care of. We are lucky to have her apart of our team and family.
Lynn has been with this practice for almost 13 years. She is kind and considerate to everyone she meets and knows most of our patients by name. Her knowledge of dental insurance is top notch and she goes the extra mile to be sure patients get the maximum benefit from their insurance plans. She is known as Grandma Lynn to not only her own four grandchildren, but to almost every child in this practice. They absolutely adore her and she spoils them all. She is an avid skier and loves to do anything out doors. Lynn is a triplet, and her claim to fame is an article that was published about her and her sisters in Sports Illustrated. At age 16, they made up most of the inn-field of their high school varsity fast-pitch softball team. Lynn was batting .588 and their team was so good, they beat a AAA professional team. She is super competitive but a fun good sport. She is blast to work with and all of the patients absolutely love her. She is one of a kind.
Kelli is a Dental Hygienist and has over 30 years experience in the dental field. Her attention to detail and sweet nature endears her to her patients and ensures their cleaning are thorough with a gentle touch. She has been with this practice for over 9 years and has a strong following of loyal patients. She has a successful sewing side-business and enjoys it as a fun hobby. She loves to garden and has four precious grandchildren that she is crazy about, including a set of twins. She has established herself as a reputable hygienist and maintains a steadfast ethical standard in both her professional and personal life. She is an essential part of this team and is an outstanding hygienist.
Nicole started her career in the dental field as a dental assistant. During these foundational years, Nicole became passionate about educating and helping patients. After four years as a dental assistant, she set her sights on a career in dental hygiene. Upon graduating in 2004 with her degree in Dental Hygiene, Nicole started at Smart Dental Care and has thrived here ever since. Over the years, Nicole has developed great relationships with her patients. Her professionalism and zeal for patient care exemplify her love for dental hygiene. Nicole is very thorough in her work and strives for the highest quality of patient care. Her ability to provide patient comfort and tailor her work around the needs of her patients is highly regarded. In addition, Nicole provides every patient with a head and neck exam as part of her routine cancer screening. We particularly value in her efforts in this regard as Nicole has found cancerous and benign anomalies through these screenings. Nicole was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2008 and has since then made every effort to raise thyroid cancer awareness and provide her patients with this critical care.
Nicole and her husband have three children. Nicole loves watching her children grow and develop their talents. She is their biggest fan and loves cheering them on from the side lines. Nicole and her family enjoy the outdoors, razor rides, boating and fishing.
Emily is a committed dental assistant who takes pride in providing the best care to her patients. She graduated with her Associates of Science from Snow College and quickly pursued her dream to become a registered dental assistant.
