Shay attended Illinois Central College from 2014-2019 where she earned an Associate's degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene as well as an Associate's degree in Science for Secondary Education. She has specialized training in laser bacterial reduction, local anesthetic, and in-house whitening. Her favorite part about her job is making patients smile!
In her free time, Shay enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She is currently engaged to her fiance Chris. Together they share a daughter Maisie, two cats, and a dog. They are also expecting twins this coming October!

We know that dental technology plays a big role in the quality of your care, which is why we are always seeking to add new technology to our practice. We already have digital x-rays, lasers, iPads, paperless charting and E4D same-day crown technology, and we will continue to invest so we can provide you with the most advanced care possible.
There are preventative steps you can take to avert some of these issues, such as brushing and flossing regularly to avoid severe mouth pain. But there are also unforeseen accidents that necessitate an emergency exam.

This review is coming from Kathie. I've been to Smalltown Dental in Tremont twice, after my previous dentist in Hopedale retired. Dr. Flynn and his staff are super! I'm very pleased, so far. It's an added plus that Dr. Flynn is young and won't retire anytime soon!

Everyone was so nice. I had not been to the dentist for several years due to various reasons, one being my phobia. Everyone was so attentive and accommodating. Dr Tyler was awesome and put me at ease. Barb did my cleaning, God love her... I should have left her a big tip! She was so kind. Receptionist was so nice about explaining charges to me. I was so impressed and not afraid to go back. Thank you to everyone at Smalltown Dental in Tremont 2nd appointment was just as nice. Dr Tyler Flynn had to pull a tooth. He was very gentle and I was expecting to be in pain after, but I was not! Not even the next day. I never had to take a tylenol. I found a Dental office that I love and trust. Thank you Lynn, Barb, Danielle and Dr Tyler!!

From Springfield to Bloomington, Small Town Dental is hands down THE BEST out there. I should of known, that's where my grandparents went for over 20 years when it was just Dr. Dutz in the single original office. I took my daughter to a dentist in Peoria on University and actually grounded her for having nine cavities!! I showed the nice $$$ (expensive) treatment plan to Grandma and she said take her to Tremont and see Dr. Dutz. Well, let me tell you, this child had ONE cavity! SO TINY they didn't even numb her. Getting a second opinion never really crossed my mind but then I couldn't get ithe lie off my mind. I turned in the estimated work from the first office on University and told our insurance to compare the X-rays and actual work done by Dr. Dutz. Having a professional lie so grotesquely about EIGHT cavities my daughter DID NOT HAVE, blew my mind. It isn't just fraudulent, it is deplorable beyond measure. Small Town Dental has an amazing staff, awesome atmosphere and are honest as the day is long and that is worth it's weight in gold Best Dental Practice in Illinois

Super friendly, welcoming,, and VERY thorough. I highly recommend Smalltown Dentistry in Tremont, IL!!!! They got us in very quickly and helped to coordinate appointments with other dental specialists. My daughter was VERY nervous heading into the appointment, but she was very relaxed by the time we were10-15 minutes into the process. Thank you, Smalltown Dental, for being so awesome!

This dentist office is by far the BEST I have ever went to!!! I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist and I felt instant relief after talking with the staff here! So up beat and generous. They know how to treat people. I just can't put into words how much I would suggest coming here, it's really that great!!!
