Dr. Jordana Smallberg grew up on Long Island and received her bachelors degree in Biology from Hofstra University and her DDS degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, She completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Smallberg continually keeps up to date on the latest dental techniques by attending continuing education seminars on esthetic dentistry, implant restorations, and many other subjects related to all phases of general dentistry.She was awarded with a certificate of achievement from the Nassau County Dental Association for completing over 500 hours of continuing education. Her experience includes performing cosmetic restorations, restoring implants, root canals, minor surgical procedures, and treating patients with occlusal (bite) discrepancies.She is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, Nassau County Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Smallberg is also a scholar in the prestigious Dawson Academy, studying complete care dentistry, with a focus on occlusion and TMJ disorders. She frequently attends the New York branch of the Dawson Study Club, focusing on complex dental cases. She is a certified Invisalign provider and Kr whitening provider.
Dr. Stacy Satornino, another Long Island native, received a bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany, followed by a DDS from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She completed her advanced post graduate training at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Northport and has been a successful associate with a general dentistry practice in Suffolk County. Dr. Satornino has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, ranging from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments. She is experienced in treating patients with occlusal (bite) problems. She is proud to provide her patients with the best in dental technology, treatment options and patient comfort. She is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and the Nassau County Dental Association. Dr. Satornino is a scholar of the prestigious Dawson Academy, studying complete dental care, with a focus on occlusion and TMJ disorders. Both of our hygienists are fluent Spanish speakers and are skilled at one-on-one oral hygiene instruction, which is frequently overlooked, but very much necessary for proper care at home. They always include a periodontal (gum) screening as part of your visit with them, which has been linked to overall health.
Jessica Moran graduated from Hostos Community College in The Bronx, NY, in 2016, obtaining her Dental Hygiene Associate degree. She started her Dental Hygiene career in Queens, NY, working for several dental practices, before moving to Westbury with her family. Jessica is fluent in English and Spanish, which makes her accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. She excels at easing patients fears, boosting their confidence and educating them to ensure a lifetime of optimum oral health. What she loves the most about her job is caring for her patients and providing them with the best care possible. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
Karina has been a registered dental hygienist since 2009. She earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale State College. She feels very blessed to be a part of such a wonderful office that works together as a team to make every patient have the best experience possible.Her goal is to empower her patients to know and love their teeth. On her down time she enjoys spending time with family, cat, friends, and gardening.
Forget all of that goo in your mouth! Instead of using those old-fashioned trays with material that has to set in your mouth, we can now use a wand with a light that passes over your teeth. The image comes up in real time on our screen. You can even watch the scan appear on the screen as we are doing it.
This is a focused beam of X-Ray particles through bone which produces an image on special film, showing the structure through which it passed.This gives the familiar black and white images that doctors and dentists use to diagnose problems. X-rays are a necessary part of the diagnostic process, and not to use them could lead to undiagnosed disease. Without an X-ray of the whole tooth, and supporting bone and gum tissues, there is no real way to detect infection or pathology that requires attention.
In our office we use digital radiography which allows us to take X-rays using 50-70% less radiation versus conventional X-rays. Coupled with computer monitoring, digital x-ray technology allows us to enhance the images for better diagnosis of any dental concerns.
Drs. Smallberg and Satornino frequently use digital photography as a tool to produce the best restorations possible for their patients. We have a professional digital camera customized for dental photography, which gives us an advantage.
We can communicate with dental labs, regarding what specific shade your restoration needs to be. This is particularly helpful for front teeth, especially if your teeth do not have one shade throughout the tooth.
We also use a set series of photos of your face and mouth at different angles and distances to plan more complex cases. This is a routine part of your comprehensive occlusal evaluation. If you are having TMJ problems or need a more complex work up to restore your mouth, the doctors will recommend this for you.
An intraoral camera can be used to get a close-up photo of your tooth or gums from inside your mouth. The doctors use a wand-like device that attached to a computer. With the click of a button they can take a close-up picture inside of your mouth, which will then instantly appear on the computer screen and become part of your electronic chart.
The doctors can use this device to show you more detail about a particular problem on a big screen for you to see. They can also use it to communicate with your insurance company to help with faster reimbursement of your benefits in certain circumstances.
At Smallberg & Satornino, DDS, PLLC, we provide you with the best care possible, while maximizing your insurance benefits. We take care of all of the paperwork for you, getting the maximum reimbursement possible. Please understand that we must work within the limits of your particular insurance plan. If you are unhappy with your particular plans level of reimbursement, we recommend speaking to your human resources department at your place of employment.
We accept cash, checks, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover credit and debit card at the time of treatment. If you need to pay a balance in smaller payments over time, you have the option of monthly payments through Care Credit or Citi Health Card.

I am so excited, /thrilled with the team of Smallberg& Santorini ,for someone who is very apprehensive about going to the dentist, im even more petrified of anything that could need further dental attention. The staff is always very friendly, helpful my doctor is so awesome she's so good, professional, pays attention to detail, truly caring. My daughter had a fall during her Varsity Tennis match on Saturday morning that severly chipped both her front teeth. Dr. Smallberg was out of the office, but told us to head over right away and called the office to give them a heads up of our daughter's condition and arrival. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely receptionist, and then Dr. Satornino and her kind and friendly assistant. My daughter (and we) were immediately made comfortable by the friendliness, the professionalism and expertise. As for the job itself, words cannot begin to describe how amazingly skilled Dr. Satornino is. She took the time to ensure that every little detail of the teeth bonding mimicked the mold/retainer of what her original teeth were before. Literally you cannot tell the difference between the repair and what my daughter's teeth were before the accident! We are so grateful to Dr. Smallberg and especially Dr. Satornino for giving my daughter back her gorgeous smile!

I just visited this office for the first time for a routine checkup/cleaning, and also to investigate a painful area in one of my teeth. I had an extremely pleasant experience. From the front receptionist (who I found to be helpful with the paperwork) to my hygienist Jessica who was extremely gentle and communicative, the experience was much better than any previous dental experience I've had. I saw Dr. Stacy Satornino and she set my nerves about the tooth issue at ease. Extremely warm but still professional, I would recommend Dr. Satornino to anyone who may be nervous about a dental visit! This will be my new go-to dentist from now on.

Though I miss my old dentist Joyce I must say that her replacement is just as good. Thanks to Dr.Smallberg & Satornino and her team of professionals for taking good care of my improving hygiene. I enjoy going to her office because the environment is always pleasant, the office is always clean, the customer service from the receptionist is always friendly and warm from start to finish. Don't get me started about the choice of music selections that makes the ambience soothing . My personal dentist Karina that I see, she is just awesome . She always reassures me and gives me much needed if not additional important information when it comes to my hygiene process. She helps me appreciate the role a dentist play in the lives of their patients. Not only is she knowledgeable she is warm and always has a smile on her face and always willing to assist you when she greets you for your appointment. She answers your questions professionally and updates you on your progress from your last visit to current visit with her. I will like to say the service is exceptional for such a small practice. It was an emergency visit. Dr. Smallberg was able to see me immediately. Once the emergency treatment was completed, Dr. Smallberg contacted the periodontist and arranged for an immediate appointment. Dr. Smallberg and the staff are fantastic.

Amazing staff and both doctors are very professional and know what they are doing, I have gone from one place to another and have to say I stayed here.
