Dr. Abhinav Sinha, is the former Director of the Childrens Dental Health Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania/Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) pediatric dental medicine residency program, where he teaches residents the latest advancements in practice management, ethics, and laser surgery.
Dr. Sinha has clinical expertise in all phases of Pediatric Dental Medicine, including treatment of children with special healthcare needs and complex oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia. He practices the full scope of his specialty and also has a unique interest in laser revision of tongue and lip ties, to aid infants in proper nursing/breastfeeding, as well as helping children achieve optimal dental, speech, and airway health.
He earned dual Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Physiology/Neurobiology and Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Sinha received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency in pediatric dental medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Cohen's Childrens Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. Sinha lives with his wife and 3 children in New Jersey. When he is not busy fighting dental decay, using his magical laser to help children thrive, or teaching future pediatric dentists, he can be found happily trying out new restaurants, doing kettlebell workouts, or just hanging out with his family.
Dr. Abra DiLisio is a board certified anesthesiologist. Originally from Michigan, she and her husband moved to New York to pursue their careers as anesthesiologists at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. After residency, Dr. DiLisio began private practice as a mobile dental anesthesiologist in the tri-state area and has safely treated over 1000 patients under IV sedation. Her goal is to help provide treatment for patients that are unable to obtain care by other dental professionals.
Dr. DiLisio is proud that she is able to provide anesthesia services to both children and adults with extensive dental needs and fear, making their experience safe and comfortable. She currently resides in Long Island with her husband, three children, and two Siamese cats. Dr. Dilisio is an avid yogi and spends her weekends in New York City.
Dr. Barnes is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Health Sciences, Antigua School of Medicine. He completed his dental residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and his anesthesia residency at Brookdale Medical Center, also in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1993 Dr. Barnes started Paramount Ambulatory Anesthesia, a provider of office based ambulatory anesthesia for the pediatric dental patient. He also held a part-time attending position at Interfaith Medical center from 1993-2000 and at Bronx Lebanon Hospital from 2000-2001, where he was responsible for delivering anesthesia care to the pediatric and mentally challenged patents in the dental department. He was also responsible for delivering weekly lectures on anesthesia/sedation to the dental residents.

Can not say enough wonderful things about this office. The Dentist, staff, and Hygienists are top notch! They always make everyone feel welcome and you leave knowing you just had the best treatment. I recommend Dr. Sinha to everyone I know. My children love going there and I trust them implicitly!!!

With a staff that is very friendly and helpful, I immediately felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. Dr. Sinha is extremely patient and informative. Who wouldn't want their kids to receive the best oral care? I recommend coming here.

Small world dental provides such a friendly and welcoming environment for not only adults but the children. The first day I walked in there everyone was so kind and welcomed me with open arms. Dr. Sinha is extremely patient and truly cares about the childrens dental needs. I highly recommend Dr. Sinha for all families in Staten Island.

I highly recommend Small World Dental my son had an emergency his dentist wouldn't see him and we got into Small World right away . Dr. Sinha was amazing with my son who was nervous and in pain . He was very patient , compassionate and comforting as well as the staff. I now changed my children's dentist .

Everyone at this dentist office is amazing starting from the day I called to make an appointment to the hygienist and other employees. They are a very clean office and kind. So different from the dentist off we went to before. Thank you so much Small World Dental!! So glad we found you!

I was a new patient and they canceled my appointment without even informing me. I kept my child home from school, rushed from work, and walked in only to find out they canceled it WITHOUT having the decency of calling me prior to my visit. On another occasion, I called to confirm an appointment and thankfully I did, because they told me that I wasn't in the appointment book. I tried to explain that the information they shared was incorrect because I joked that I would be there on my birthday, but they removed the appointment WITHOUT notifying me. Too many discrepancies and everyone's time is valuable. Unsatisfied!

Small World Dental is truly an amazing office. Dr. Sinha and his staff are amazing and attentive, they are great with children of all ages. They also see many children with special needs, each child that does well will also receive a prize which is a great incentive! The office is always clean and neat which is a plus!! I highly recommend this office.

After years of going to Small World Dental, I'm sad I have to leave now that my children are older. The office is extremely compassionate and welcoming. It is top shelf class and the staff is absolutely phenomenal.

Today I had a terrible day in this place I went an hour in advance 9:30 and my son's appointment was 10:30 and they attended to me after an hour and a half they made me come in at 11:00, I asked him to please The receptionist to let me in soon, I explained why I was early and he told me I'm going to do the best I can ... nobody cares about me ... and my wife left with the children and I had to go back to the parking lot to look for them ... this dentist made the children miss a day of school and made me arrive late for work .... I DON'T RECOMMEND IT AND WE'LL GO TO ANOTHER WISE DENTIST !!!!!

Small World Dental provides an amazing work environment that consists of well-trained professionals with plenty of expertise. From the moment I stepped in they were extremely welcoming and encouraging. The office is catered towards children and extremely friendly. Dr Sinha is truly amazing and his experience shows with each individual patient. Being a prior patient myself, I only hope to take my own children here as well one day.

I wish I could give zero stars ! The worst dentist ever! My kids appointment was at 2 , I was there at 1.45. They made us wait one hour, then they took us inside. They only did my Daughter just one tooth, and they said we will clean the room wait few minutes and we waited 40 minutes. And also while we were waiting they took the other people that were after us! This is very rude, disrespectful and not fair!!! This is nonsensical ! They have to take the same sibling at the same time ! And can not even give a explanation, they don't apologize this is why I will never go there again !!

After trying many, many dentists I thought my only option was to have my son (7 yrs old) put under anesthesia. He FINALLY! I found Dr. Sinah and his wonderful staff...especially Lucille <3 Lucille spoke to my son in the waiting room and calmed him down, reassuring him that they wouldn't hurt him and everything would be ok. Dr. Sinah was also very calming and my son took to him right away. He was friendly and worked quickly. Not only did my son sit, but he was finally able to get a proper cleaning and he let them put the fluoride on. He left with the biggest smile on his face and is excited to go back! I am so relieved to find such a caring and patient dentist and staff.

The cleaning was good, the kids were good which means they felt safe and liked the atmosphere which is very important. Dr S, I hope you will see this comment. I would just like to say that moms do the very best we can and have enough pressure on ourselves with you adding to it. You said to me "Do better Mom" and I left the office crushed. Please be mindful of how you speak to parents.
