Dr. Abhinav Sinha, is the former Director of the Childrens Dental Health Center and Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania/Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) pediatric dental medicine residency program, where he teaches residents the latest advancements in practice management, ethics, and laser surgery.
Dr. Sinha has clinical expertise in all phases of Pediatric Dental Medicine, including treatment of children with special healthcare needs and complex oral rehabilitation under general anesthesia. He practices the full scope of his specialty and also has a unique interest in laser revision of tongue and lip ties, to aid infants in proper nursing/breastfeeding, as well as helping children achieve optimal dental, speech, and airway health.
He earned dual Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Physiology/Neurobiology and Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Sinha received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his residency in pediatric dental medicine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Cohen's Childrens Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. Sinha lives with his wife and 3 children in New Jersey. When he is not busy fighting dental decay, using his magical laser to help children thrive, or teaching future pediatric dentists, he can be found happily trying out new restaurants, doing kettlebell workouts, or just hanging out with his family.
Dr. Abra DiLisio is a board certified anesthesiologist. Originally from Michigan, she and her husband moved to New York to pursue their careers as anesthesiologists at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. After residency, Dr. DiLisio began private practice as a mobile dental anesthesiologist in the tri-state area and has safely treated over 1000 patients under IV sedation. Her goal is to help provide treatment for patients that are unable to obtain care by other dental professionals.
Dr. DiLisio is proud that she is able to provide anesthesia services to both children and adults with extensive dental needs and fear, making their experience safe and comfortable. She currently resides in Long Island with her husband, three children, and two Siamese cats. Dr. Dilisio is an avid yogi and spends her weekends in New York City.
Dr. Barnes is a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Health Sciences, Antigua School of Medicine. He completed his dental residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and his anesthesia residency at Brookdale Medical Center, also in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1993 Dr. Barnes started Paramount Ambulatory Anesthesia, a provider of office based ambulatory anesthesia for the pediatric dental patient. He also held a part-time attending position at Interfaith Medical center from 1993-2000 and at Bronx Lebanon Hospital from 2000-2001, where he was responsible for delivering anesthesia care to the pediatric and mentally challenged patents in the dental department. He was also responsible for delivering weekly lectures on anesthesia/sedation to the dental residents.
