He received his dental degree from Emory University and his graduate degree in Orthodontics from the Medical College of Georgia. He has practiced Orthodontics exclusively and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Smaha is also on the Board of Directors of the American Lingual Orthodontic Association. He regularly participates in professional conferences and has lectured, written articles and patented instruments for use with lingual and conventional braces.
He has a masters degree in oral biology. He attended the Medical College of Georgia, where he received his dental degree, and completed his orthodontic residency at Temple University. Dr. Ched Smaha, researcher and lecturer, specializes in the fields of 3D orthodontic imaging and orthodontic implants. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Smaha enjoys golf, tennis, fishing, movies, radio controlled airplanes, water skiing, snow skiing and working with the Boy Scouts.
I run the contest for patients at the practice, put together baskets of goodies for dentists around town, and help spread the word about Smaha Orthodontics around Macon, Warner Robins & Forsyth! My favorite thing about working here is the friendly staff and great bedside manner that both doctors have. I feel like they are always so sweet and knowledgeable about what is going on with each patient. I love spending time with my family, going to the beach and lake, and of course, shopping for my two girls!
I meet and schedule patients as well as answer calls and greet them when they come in. I love talking with patients and seeing their amazing transformations! My favorite thing about Smaha Orthodontics is the atmosphere of the office, from the kindness and friendships we cultivate with patients to the bedside manner of the doctor and staff. I enjoy participating in donations to breast cancer research and working with world missions. In my spare time I love kayaking, whitewater rafting, camping, singing, and walking for exercise!
I enjoy spending quality time with the patients to ensure a fabulous finish! I get satisfaction from meeting patients and their families while theyre on their journey to a great smile, the end result and new found confidence makes my job so fun! The best part of Smaha Orthodontics is that we have a wonderful team that is like a family. The fact that our office is very professional and productive, we have convenient locations, and we have an amazing team, which makes us #1! I enjoy my amazing family and friends. I love to work outside, watch GA football, and hanging out on the lake or beach is my favorite pastime!
As a clinical assistant, my job consists of placing and removing braces as well as taking X-Rays, impressions, and photos. I am also a part-time treatment coordinator so I get to meet new patients and help them understand how the orthodontic process works at our office. I love how nice and educated the doctors are, the fact that the practice has been around for 40 years really shows in their knowledge of orthodontics! The helpful and friendly staff paired with three convenient locations are why I refer all my friends and family here. In my free time I love being with my two daughters, reading, baking, and shopping!
I strive to make every patient feel comfortable during their visit to our practice. I assist in the preparation for and placement of all orthodontic appliances and braces from start to finish. Smaha Orthodontics has a great reputation with its two doctors that are very dedicated and up-to-date on the latest technology and treatment options. They dont just try to sell you a product, they offer you several options to have a beautiful smile that will raise your self-esteem and become a more confident individual! I enjoy camping, fishing, spending time with my fianc, children and grandchildren, and raising my two dogs Lulu & Chloe. I have a love for horses and beach trips!
One of our main focal points is providing you all around convenience. Firmly rooted in Macon, our practice has three locations in central Georgia with one thats conveniently located near you. Though our 3 locations are by far accommodating, sometimes emergencies happen after hours. For example, maybe your bracket fell off during dinner, or your childs wire came loose during after-school sports. We want to make sure that were accessible beyond the traditional business day. Therefore, our doctors are available after hours in case of any emergency.

As a family focused practice, we dont want you to cringe at the thought of orthodontic bills. We accept most insurance plans to help you avoid any financial hurdles. My family and I love Dr.Smaha and his staff. We have been seeing him for a year and we will continue to see him. Him and his staff are always friendly and treat us like family. And he has fixed my Daughter smile. She hasn't stop smiling since getting her braces off. He is definitely the best orthodontist I have ever seen.

Wonderful experience at Smaha Orthodontics for the last 3+ years. My daughter had a pretty bad overbite and Dr Smaha worked with us to create the best plan of treatment for us. Gave us a few options and got her smile close to perfect! The staff was always friendly and welcoming! Definitely recommend Dr Smaha and team for your orthodontic treatment!

I got my braces through Smaha and my teeth turned out perfect. I got hit by a baseball in the mouth with my braces and Smaha made it seem like nothing ever happened. Great staff and overall experience.

Today was our first time and we loved it. The visit, which was our initial consultation for braces with them, went super fast and they offered payment plans and several payment options for the services. They have Invisline braces as well as the traditional style braces. While there prices are a little more than the other orthodontist we went to, I think we will end up going with Smaha for the convenience and because the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions. So although a little more pricey, it seems to be the best option for us. I would definitely recommend them.

When you are in the industry of benevolence it is important that you display that to all customers, despite one's race, cultural background, and social- economic status. Perception is everything in life , and intellectuals know when they are accepted or wanted in an environment or space based on the energy , interaction, and delivery of the individuals talking to them in that business establishment. However, hiking the prices of treatment of individuals based on one's race or for discriminatory reasons is absolutely unacceptable. Costumer care and service is about benevolence especially in healthcare and all forms of business and thus, should always be exemplified.
