Following his undergraduate study at Boston College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Dr. Walsh attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and completed his DDS Degree in 1986. Upon graduation, Dr. Walsh entered the United States Navy serving as a general dental officer. In 1995, Dr. Walsh completed a residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD where he received his certificate in Periodontics.

Dr. Shannon was born and raised in Braintree, MA. Dr. Shannon graduated cum laude from Salve Regina with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Upon graduation, Dr. Shannon received the American Academy of Periodontology Student Award. Dr. Shannon completed his periodontal residency at Tufts University in June 2013 and is eligible for board certification. At the 2013 Yankee Dental Congress,Dr. Shannon taught a course on crown lengthening andosseous surgical procedures. His special interests are bone grafting and implant procedures.
