Dr. Sletten is a third generation specialist in orthodontics. The Sletten family has been providing orthodontic care to the Midwest for over 60 years! He graduated as salutatorian of the University of Minnesota Dental Class of 1999 and earned both his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Iowa. His research has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics, and he is able to share his expertise as a part-time faculty member of the University of Minnesota Department of Orthodontics and the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at Childrens Hospital. He has been voted Minnesota's Top Orthodontist multiple years by Minnesota Monthly.
He completed the two-year Advanced Education in Orthodontics (AEO) program, which is a degree only a small number of orthodontists in the country obtain. It focuses on ideal facial esthetics and more complex orthodontic issues, such as TMJ disorders and jaw surgery. He also studies with the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists (RWISO) and FACE, which is a collection of the best orthodontists from around the world. Dr. Sletten believes that a world class education is the only way to create World Class Smiles.
Dr. Sletten and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Stillwater and are proud parents of three children: Jacob, Anders and Macallan. Dr. Sletten enjoys spending time with his family and doing anything outdoors with his boys and their dog, Steve. Jennifer is a Registered Dietitian and does nutrition consulting and lecturing statewide.

Hi, my name is Bridget, and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I bring more than 25 years of experience in the dental field to Sletten Orthodontics. I started as dental assistant and continued on with my education to become a hygienist. I have been with Dr. Sletten since 2007 as a Treatment Coordinator in our Stillwater location. I feel blessed to be part of an amazingly talented, warmhearted team. Our team fully believes that a healthy bite is key to long-term dental health and stability, and what a bonus to create beautiful smiles for our patients on their journey to health.
When I am not with my family at Sletten Orthodontics, I can be found in St. Mary's Point with Matt, my husband of 23 years; my boys, T.J. and Keegan; and our dog, Radar. In my free time, I enjoy being a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for the Lower St. Croix Valley Fire Department, working out, camping, playing softball, reading, and most importantly, chasing my boys to their activities. Oh, and the O'Brien's love cheering for the Minnesota Wild!

My husband and I have been married nearly 22 years. We moved to Hudson 16 years ago. Our oldest daughter , Mackenzie, is 25 and serves in the Airforce. She is based down in Oklahoma. Our youngest, Claire,will begin her Sophomore year at Stout this fall.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I love reading, doing puzzles and gardening. I also love to spend time outside hiking, biking, kayaking, and cross-country skiing. We also enjoy our four cats and spending weekends on our deck.
Ive always enjoyed working with people in some sort of customer service position. Whether it was when I was in a management position, small business owner, or being a scheduling coordinator, I really enjoy meeting new people and seeing our existing patients everyday.

Walked in to ask if they took new patients when my permanent retainer broke. They not only had me seen the same day but they also fixed my retainer and made me a removable one the same day! Would highly recommend! Their staff are incredible.

If I could give more then 5 stars, I would. Dr. B and his team did an amazing job!! They strived for excellence in everything they did for me to ensure that I could have the best smile I could. His staff and him were very professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole process and were able to assist me with any issues that I had. They also coordinated with my dentist to assure that I was able to to complete this process before my wedding. I highly recommend Dr. B and his team.

I write this review to commend Dr. Brettin and all of his staff whose professionalism and dedication to making my experience with braces a very positive one. As a 40+ year old professional myself, I was very apprehensive to follow through with my desire to have a straight teeth. Honestly, I put it off for many years knowing full well that my teeth were not going to stop moving. Needless to say, from the initial visit to now having my braces off and smiling without being conscious about it, my experience with Dr. Brettin was without a doubt the right decision. Each visit was a step in the right direction and the people there always made me feel comfortable. Scheduled appointments were always on time and to my surprise my braces came off a few months earlier than expected. If you're interested in making this type of change in your life don't hesitate. Schedule your initial visit with Dr. Brettin and you will have all the necessary information to make an informed decision. Dr. Brettin, thank you and I give you my permission to use the photos of my teeth, before and after, to help anyone in a similar situation make the right decision.

They were awesome from the first appointment to the last. I am an adult who had jaw surgery and braces. I would tell anyone who was had to do the same thing to look no further. Dr. B and his staff are fantastic!

I would recommend Sletten & Brettin Orthodontics in Hudson, WI a million times over! The staff there are the kindest and most helpful people in the world. Dr. Brettin is so knowledgeable and amazing at what he does. Him, along with all the other staff, made me feel so comfortable each and every time I was there. They made the process of getting braces so seamless and efficient! In addition to all of that, they're extremely flexible with making and changing appointments which was beneficial to my busy lifestyle. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose them every time.

Dr. Brettin and his team are quite amazing! They are very professional yet so kind and accommodating. With two kiddos in braces schedules can get a little crazy...we appreciate your flexible hours. The communication with his patients is what stands out the most....even if they are only 12 & 15 they always understood the plan for their teeth and are updated at each visit. Thank you for going above and beyond for your patients....it truly feels like family at Sletten & Brettin! Addie sure loves her new smile and Bergen is looking forward to his!

Dr. Brettin and his team have provided our three kids with amazing, expert care and we couldn't be happier with the results he obtained for each of them. Each of our kids provided some challenges with a variety of treatment needs from interceptive ortho as kids to more traditional orthodontic care as teens. I'm very happy I chose to go to Sletten and Brettin Orthodontics! It was my first experience with an orthodontist and I was nervous at first. Dr. Brettin and his team are absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough to express the positive experiences I have had. They are extremely professional, caring of their patients, and they have excellent communication. My two oldest have had braces and the outcome of their teeth is perfection! We had a wonderful experience at Sletten & Brettin for many reasons. Dr. Brettin and staff always made my daughter feel comfortable and answered any questions we had. It was easy to schedule appointments around busy schedules , and you can't beat their location. Her smile is beautiful and bright and that is the biggest reason I'd recommend them!

From the initial consultation to my post-braces retainer checks (and everything in between!), Dr. Brettin and his team were friendly, informative, and professional; I was always treated as a valued patient. My visits were met with a smile and I never felt rushed during my appointments. All my questions were fully heard & answered throughout the entire process. Having now lived through the experience of being an adult with braces, I can say that Dr. Brettin and his entire team made the experience positive and smooth! I am SO happy with my smile/results and will most definitely be sending my children here for all their orthodontic needs.

Dr B and his staff are amazing. As an older person, getting braces wasn't something I took lightly but Dr Brettin did an incredible job explaining his exact treatment plan and what to expect along the way. I was always treated with respect and the office is very efficient. Overall great experience (as great as braces can be) and I am very glad I did it.

Our daughter just got her braces off today. Not only do her teeth look beautiful but they handled COVID 19 so well and made all the visits so easy for us. Dr. Brettin and his staff are wonderful and so caring. Great experience and so thankful we chose them.

Dr Brettin is the Best!! We had 2 daughters go through Ortho with him. Dr B and his team go out of their way to make their patients feel comfortable and valued at every visit. Great communication with my teenage girls. We are so happy with the end results! During Covid he went above and beyond to retreat my oldest daughter for a few months after our dog ate her retainer. Would choose Dr B and his team every time!
