We were referred by my daughters Pediatric Dentist to this place due to my daughters past reactions to Caine medications. She went in to have some cavities filled in the back. It was recommended that her wisdom teeth come out and they repair softened enamel on her teeth. The staff were very kind which is why I gave them 3 stars. However, the pain management was almost non-existent. I was concerned about the amount of pain my daughter was experiencing and even returned the following week to have her checked. Once again, the staff were very nice but, they just weren't meeting my daughter's needs. I took her to the orthodontist 12 days later for new retainers and my daughter still couldn't open her mouth and her jaw kept locking. The orthodontist took x-rays and immediately found why my daughter has had so much pain. The nerve sits right at the pocket of where one of her wisdom teeth were removed. The orthodontist called the dentist in to look at the x-rays and he immediately saw the same thing. They told us due to the extraction and location of the nerve she could be in pain like this for another 6 weeks. They gave her medication for the pain and a mouthwash to help keep the area clean. I understand everyone recovers differently but, I feel like allowing a child to be in this much pain is not okay, nor is it okay to ignore the concerns of a parent. The orthodontist said the fillings on the other teeth were not necessary because they were not cavities. While cosmetically, they look great, they didn't need fillings. When my son had his wisdom teeth removed with a different office, they made sure he was going to be comfortable during recovery. They followed up with him. My daughter rarely complains of pain. I feel like she was just left to suffer and get over it.

So apparently, if you have to cancel within the 24 hours of your appointment, even if you call because it was a family emergency, they will never let you schedule with them again, even if you have a referral. Don't go here, SO unreasonable. P.S. This was in 2016 when it happened and when i called today(2022) this was the answer i got.

Very disappointed. Been waiting for a call back for a week. Left a message. I called them again and will not take my daughter any more, They are reducing the number of patients that don't need to be sedated. We have been going here for years. Would have been nice to know.

Absolutely horrific. They are rude and judgmental to the max. I came in with my son who does have alot of energy. A cap came off his tooth. Went in to have it replaced. They refused to do it because he was being a 3 year old playful boy. I misunderstood and thought they said he would need to be out to sleep to replace the cap, went to schedule and the nurse came back out being very rude tone and all belitteling me. Telling me they said they can't just put him to sleep for a cap and good luck. Not to mention the lobby is disgusting. Visible grime all over the front desk and children area. I would not recommend anyone to come here. I remember the first visit the staff were also very uncomfortably unfriendly. Will be reporting elsewhere. :Reply: If you strive for a 5 star experience from your patients. If it was indeed a misunderstanding, it would have been resolved correctly when I called to make a complaint. Accountability would have been taken. Correctional procedures would have happened. The way I was made to feel is unacceptable. Are you telling me your lobby was in fact clean? My eyes were deceiving me. I hope the customer service and cleanliness has improved majorly.

As long as your insurance is not state medical you can be seen awake. Nice for us "poor" folk! I am broken hearted for my children with delicate medical needs who have spent the past 9 years or so building a rapport with a dentist that no longer wants us.

I like the staff. We have been going here for years. They are very kind to my special needs children. What I find bizarre, is their refusal to open the lobby. They would prefer that we sit in the car. This can be up to two hours if surgery is required. We are not allowed to leave the parking lot! Not to mention the price of petrol to heat and cool the car, and the waste of precious resources. We are humans and thrive on social interactions. Perhaps there are some patients with compromised immunity, and I feel for them, but surely they deal with that every day.

This has been my main dentist for nearly half my life, and I'm 33! Everyone is always super helpful here. Receptionists, dentists, assistants, everyone! I have never had a bad experience here. I love getting real advice, real help, and I love getting my teeth taken care of here! This review is a year old now and is still 100% true. I am so nervous about going to the dentist in general butthese wonderful people squash that fear so easily! I had my teeth cleaned and knew what was going on the entire time. I look forward to my care plans to keep the teeth that I have!

A great dentist with tips for overcoming my gag reflex while taking x-rays. The staff makes accommodations for my electric wheelchair so that my regular cleanings are a breeze for me and the friendly hygienist. Recommended.

I have such a fear of the dentist and they are so good that all I've needed for sedation has been gas. Everyone is so professional and kind. I especially love Krista!!! She always goes out of her way for me. I've never been so comfortable in a dentist chair before.

I have had a lifelong fear of the dentist and was crying before I even arrived. I was met with kindness, reassurance, and understanding. I have never had such an amazing experience. The entire staff from billing, reception, hygienist, assistant, and dentist were so compassionate. They were respectful of my budget and came up with a plan to move forward that I am more than happy with. I strongly recommend Sleep Dentistry of Spokane.
