Sleep apnea affects 1 out of 4 adults, and 80% of people are not even aware they suffer from it. When left untreated, it can cause excessive daytime fatigue, morning headaches, and memory loss. Additionally, sleep apnea increases the risk of numerous health issues, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. Treating sleep apnea is incredibly important, effortless using an oral appliance and is covered by most insurances.

TheNational Sleep Foundation shares that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) an often-undiagnosed sleeping disorder creates pauses in a persons breathing that lead to snoring and restless nights. That resulting decrease in sleep quantity and qualitythat can effect your overall health and day-to-day activities.

Obstructive sleep apnea occurs during sleep when muscles relax, including those that control the tongue and throat. Snoring is often a symptom of OSA caused by changes in your upper airway while you sleep. Your soft tissue may vibrate (commonly known as snoring) or it may completely collapse causing you to stop breathing. The soft tissue at the back of throat can sag, narrowing and constricting the airway. Collapsing of the soft tissue is called an Obstructive Apnea and may last for 10 seconds or more and occur throughout the night.

I wish google allowed me to select a million stars! Dr S & all team members go above and beyond to help patients get healthy levels of sleep. They are on top of all the latest research and options. They do not use a "one size fits all" solution and are very focused on selecting solutions that suit the patient's unique circumstances and medical condition(s). They are kind, patient and willing to answer all sorts of questions. I am very grateful to them. It can be a process to diagnose and select treatment for sleep issues and this team is the team you need to work through the process with you.

I first went to a different sleep dentist & didn't find them to be personable. I came to this practice & was very pleased. I received my device & can't wait to see the results with this treatment. Dr. Andrew S. & his staff are the best. They were patient, personable & professional, the 3 p's which are very important. I would recommend them to anyone with sleep apnea.

This practice changed my life: I was EXHAUSTED for years with brain fog every day and living on artificial energy with way too much coffee. The sleep apnea device they created for me along with regular check ups have pulled back curtains from my brain and I'm so grateful.
