Dr. Sydon Arroyo is the managing director of Skypark Dental Professionals as well as a Clinical Lecturer at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He has brought a vision of excellence to this established yet innovative and growing practice. He possesses a remarkable sense of integrity and a strong set of personal values. Dr. Arroyo carries these virtues with him in everything that he pursues.
Dr. Arroyo practices all aspects of dentistry with a passion for creating beautiful smiles using comfortable preventive care, conservative smile design with porcelain veneers, clear orthodontics (Invisalign), and dental implants. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry where he was awarded honors in prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Arroyo then completed a post-doctoral residency in advanced restorative and implant dentistry at the University of Florida & Shands Medical Center. He takes pride in staying current with the latest techniques and technologies by attending nearly 100 hours of continuing education every year (four times the required amount). Dr. Arroyo has been awarded the title of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Arroyo grew up in Burbank, California but now resides in the South Bay. Outside of the office, he regularly volunteers at the South Bay Children's Health Center and Care Harbor Los Angeles. Dr. Arroyo loves spending time at the beach and is an avid sports fan. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
The newest addition to Skypark Dental Professionals is Donald C. Hugh, D.D.S. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Dr. Hugh moved to California in 1965. After completing his undergraduate studies at Cal State Long Beach, he attended Northwestern University Dental School. Graduating in 1972, Dr. Hugh served our country in the US Army Dental Corp until 1974. Returning home to California he met and married his wife Joane in 1978. Dr. Hugh enjoys gardening (come see the fruits of his labor in our office!), archery, skiing, hiking and traveling. The most memorable trip? India. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Hugh belongs to Toastmasters and has been talking for 30+ years! A recently retired educator from UCLA (20 years in the Advanced General Dentistry Residency Program) and a previous president of the Western Los Angeles Dental Society (2000), we welcome Dr. Hugh with his expertise and vast knowledge.

Skypark Dental is very accommodating. They let you know when a sooner appointment slot becomes available within your preferred schedule which I highly appreciated. I also like that they text you to remind you about your appointment. The entire check-in process was very efficient. I've never had to wait and I was seen right away. I came in for fillings which required a needle for the numbing process (*cue anxiety*). I appreciated how Dr. Arroyo and his assistant made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I also got a cleaning here and I received a goodie bag with a toothbrush, travel toothpaste & floss after my appointment (YAY!). Dr. Arroyo is enthusiastic, passionate, and truly cares about the quality of his work.

Dr. Arroyo is a very knowledgeable and thorough dentist, who is also extremely honest. He does not recommend anything you do not need, and all his work is very well done and long-lasting.

Dr Arroyo is amazing. The teeth cleaning services they offer are so thorough. I had 2 cavities and was extremely nervous about having them fixed but he made me feel so comfortable and it was over before I knew it! He definitely got out every single spec that needed to be and it was painless!

Dr. Arroyo is brilliant. I thought I was going to have to have a whole new bridge replaced. But come to find out it was only a minor problem that this dentist spotted right away. I am so pleased with the service I received.

I have been to many dental offices and have never received the level of services that I have received from Skypark Dental. From the moment you walk into the office you are treated with the best customer service I have ever experienced and the great service is not only on the part of Dr. Sydon Arroyo and Karen but from the whole staff. The most impressive aspect of the service that I really appreciated was that while other dental businesses seem to treat you like all they want is to sell you the most costly service, at Skypark Dental, that wasn't the case. They put my needs first by thoroughly explaining everything so that I understand what was being done and the cost. Most importantly, they cared more about me understanding all of my options and helping me understand the cost with all of their services so I could make up my mind on my own rather making me feel pressured to go in a certain direction. They really do care about their patients and I felt that through out all of my visits to their office. On top of that, they did an amazing job with my dental work.

Dr Sydon arroyo is the best dentist. I travel to Los Angeles to make sure my dental work is completed by doctor arroyo only. He is very detailed and looks out for his clients. From the receptionist to the hygienist are all very well trained and professional at that what they do. I wouldn't recommend no other dentist.

I initially visited Dr. Arroyo for Invisalign and teeth whitening. My friends have notice the before and after difference since then. I now continue to visit Dr. Arroyo for my regular follow-up knowing he pays close attention to detail, very professional, and has a genuine caring nature that is second to none. Melissa was also my hygienist who did an amazing cleaning! As an added bonus, the office is the nicest dental practice I've been too with views of nature, personal TV monitor and Wi-Fi for the patients. But what truly matters to me in a dentist is top quality work and professionalism, and Dr. Arroyo exceeds my expectations.

My whole life, I have been absolutely terrified and traumatized from my experiences with any and all dentists. This, of course, was ameliorated upon my discovery of Dr. Sydon Arroyo at Skypark Dental Professionals. From beginning to end - the warm & kindhearted receptionist to the personable & skilled dental hygienist, & last but certainly not least, the man, the myth, the legendary Dr. Arroyo himself. Transitioning from HMO to PPO and finding this place has truly been a gift. Happy to say, I have even intro-seduced and converted several friends and family, local and beyond to Skypark Dental Professionals. Dr. Arroyo is highly skilled, patient, understanding & takes the word "gentle" and "competent" to a whole nuther level! I am a self-proclaimed lifer and give this practice my highest recommendation.
