Our periodontists, Dr. Scott Ferguson, Dr. Braden Atkins and Dr. Robert Ferrell, and their team strive to prevent gum disease and maintain optimal oral health for all of our patients, hoping to provide you with the necessary tools to keep your own mouth in the best possible condition. Dr. Scott G. Ferguson, DDS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, dental implants, and periodontal esthetic procedures. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Utah. He then attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and his Periodontal Certificate.
Dr. Ferguson has been in practice for over 26 years. He is a member of many local and national dental and periodontal societies. He has volunteered his time to improve our local dental profession and has spent time in Haiti volunteering his time to the people of Timo with dental treatment. He leads continuing education study clubs and attends numerous hours of continuing education classes to better serve his patients with the most up-to-date knowledge and skill.
Dr. Ferguson and his wife live in Fruit Heights, Utah and have four children and a labradoodle. He enjoys bike riding, snow skiing and tennis. He enjoys traveling with his family and spending time with them whenever he gets the chance.
Dr. Braden Atkins was born and raised in Utah. He received his undergraduate degree in Medical Biology at the University of Utah. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and his training in Periodontics and Masters of Science in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After school, Dr. Atkins returned to Utah where he has practiced as a Board Certified Periodontist with a focus on implant placement alongside bone and gingival augmentation. Dr. Atkins is an avid cyclist and martial artist. He also enjoys woodworking, reading, gardening and spending time with his wife and children.
Dr. Robert Ferrell has been practicing periodontics and dental surgery in South Ogden, Utah, since 1999. He has received extensive advanced training in implant dentistry with over 10,000 implants placed over his career. He has performed hundreds of full arch implant procedures, including All-on-4; Teeth-in-a-Day implants. Dr. Ferrell is the President of the James Ferrell Foundation, a charitable foundation that provides dental care to the underprivileged of our community as well as abroad. In addition, Dr. Ferrell has organized several different dental and medical humanitarian projects across the globe. He has also been a Spear Study Club leader since 2014. The Spear Study Club organizes a forum where difficult and challenging cases can be reviewed and treated by some of the top dentists in Northern Utah.
Dr. Ferrell is the father of nine wonderful children and considers himself as a guy who married way above himself. In his free time, he has a healthy addiction to college football, politics, skiing and education.
Kylie takes special care to bring compassion and care to every patient she sees, building trust with people she serves and works with. She is uplifted and inspired by the integrity and culture of our team, and she loves that she is constantly learning new things. Kylie graduated from Dixie State University cum laude in 2013, and she is happily married with three kids.
Kaylee is currently a full time college student at Weber State University. Graduated from Ogden Weber Applied Technical Colleges Dental Assisting program and has been working in the Dental Field for over a year and a half. Helping patients gain trust and comfort in our office is a major goal for her.
Christina brings over a decade of experience to our office along with so much energy and optimism. She makes everyone around her smile and oftentimes leaves both her co-workers and patients laughing. She is also a very hard worker and keeps everything running smoothly. She isn't afraid to jump in and help wherever she is needed and always goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Christina and her husband have two amazing kids, one boy and one girl, along with three dogs and a mini petting zoo! In her free time, she likes to ride ATVs, go camping, paddle board, craft and travel.
Sara has been in the dental industry for over 4 years, as she came straight out of college graduating with her athletic scholarship in tennis from Weber State University. She is dual trained for office assistant and dental assisting and has a passion for helping others! She will go out of her way to ensure her patients are being taken care of and loves to support and work with the people around her!
Rather than applying the implants to the bone in a strictly vertical position, the All-on-4 treatment screws them into the bone at an angle allowing for quicker fusion which means in a single office visit our patients can leave with a new set of artificial teeth. It saves time for both the office and the patient which means an increased level of efficiency.
For those patients who were told they were not good candidates for dental implants because of needing more bone mass in their jawbones, this is a perfect alternative for them. When patients have extensive tooth loss it can greatly alter their appearance because their cheeks and lips no longer have the supportive structure to hold them in the natural position. Once this surgical procedure is done, their appearance will return to normal because the underlying structure will have been replaced.
Those patients who were worried about dentures not fitting properly and constantly slipping out of place will be delighted to know that does not happen with this procedure. The dentures fit perfectly in place and are secured to the four posts embedded into their upper and lower jawbone so they will not move out of place.

From the moment I met Dr Scott Ferguson I felt comfortable. Dr Ferguson explained everything in detail. The day of my implant surgery he talked me through my procedure with every move he made. I was relaxed and confident. He is humble and his bedside manners are extraordinary! The procedure went perfect. I am now in my 4th day of recovery and feeling great! His Assistants were professional and very friendly. I am very impressed and will definitely go forward with Dr Ferguson in my future surgeries.

I was referred to Dr. Ferguson by my regular dentist for some implant work. From the very first call on setting up the appointment to the last appointment, I received excellent customer service from the office staff, dental assistants and Dr. Ferguson. They truly care about treating their patients well. Sarah, their Insurance Coordinator is amazing to work with, she will work with you from beginning to end, even when your insurance carrier is being a pain to work with. This is the second time I have had to have an implant at Skyline Implants & Periodontics. The first time I also had to have a bone graft. Dr. Ferguson is amazing. The office staff are exception, and will do anything to accommodate schedules and dental needs. I won't even consider going to anyone else. This is truly a professional team.

Dr. Ferguson and his staff are amazing! They actually care about people as more then just patients. Dr. Ferguson was so thorough about explaining treatment and Sarah was amazing in explaining the cost with insurance and any other factors. Would recommend this office a thousand times over!

I love how friendly everyone is but more importantly how professional and attentive my care has been. I have all the info I need upfront from costs to treatment and recovery. I know what to expect and my treatments have all gone as planned. When you have serious dental needs that can be expensive it is refreshing to know you are getting the care you need at the best possible price. I would never go anywhere else.

Dr. Ferguson is an excellent periodontist. He makes you feel comfortable, explains everything to you and is friendly. He's good with all ages young and not so young. His stuff is also very friendly and competent.

This entire office really has impressed me from the receptionist Sarah's knowledge of insurance to Dr. Ferguson's friendliness and professionalism. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door and I love how they are so good at listening to my concerns. Will come here again for sure!

I have had such good experiences at this office, both with Dr. Ferrell and Dr. Ferguson. There is apparently quite a bit of dishonesty and big money to be made in diagnosing gum issues. I first saw Dr. Ferrell for a second opinion on gum grafting. He was incredibly honest about the work that actually needed to be done, which was a fraction of what I had been told previously at another office. Later I had a tooth extraction and implant by Dr. Ferguson, which was also a good experience. I had no swelling, no infection, and professional treatment by him, Christina, and Kaylee. I wouldn't go to any other periodontist.

I was so nervous about getting my gum tissue graft done. Dr. Ferguson explained the procedure in detail, he was direct and efficient. He made sure I was completely comfortable, and extremely thorough. They have a very competent staff, warm and fun, they're beyond skillful. Great place!! The doctor and staff are absolutely amazing!
