Dr. James Raymond is now the fifth dentist in his family, with his father, uncle, brother, and sister sharing in the profession. He recognized at an early age the amazing gift his father was able to share with the community and the appreciation and many friendships that developed through a lifetime of service in dentistry. Dr. Raymond attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated from the honors program with a B.S. in Biology and attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. From his initial courses at Tufts, Dr. Raymond developed a passion for esthetic and restorative dentistry and he excelled at crown, bridge, and implant prostheses. He continues his professional studies attending local monthly study clubs (Spear Study Club and Pima Study Club) and traveling to the Kois Center in Seattle, WA and Spear Education Center in Scottsdale, AZ.
Beyond his work at the office, Dr. Raymond is passionate about his involvement in dental outreach programs, both within the United States and abroad. During his most recent mission trip abroad, Dr. Raymond spent 10 days in the Dominican Republic, providing free dental care to underserved children. He also serves on the board of the Arizona Dental Foundation and spearheaded the dental charity TDC Cares (Tucson Dental Community Cares) providing services to veterans and job-seeking homeless citizens of Tucson.
On the weekends, you will find Dr. Raymond either trail running in the Catalinas or sitting atop Mt. Lemmon, pondering the existence of pine trees in the desert with his wife, Jessie, and dog, Rudy. Apart from spending time with his family, Dr. Raymond loves traveling, basketball, surfing, golfing, and playing guitar.
Spousal support therapist (to Dr. Raymond) and tree-ring scientist extraordinaire. She uses tree ring data to reconstruct past climates, particularly related to temperature and storms. We think its very cool, but she says its sometimes warm.

The staff is very welcoming from the time you arrive. They take care to explain everything from treatment to cost. Dr Raymond is a gentle dentist. He explained what was being done and readily answered questions. I would highly recommend Skyline Dental.

This modern dental practice provides Beverly Hills quality and ultimate comfort for cowards at Tucson Prices. Dr. Raymond and his staff are gentle, empathetic, never in a hurry and completely patient oriented. The latest technology enables precision anesthesia, diagnosis and repair. The tool Dr. Raymond uses to numb your teeth targets the exact tooth, works perfectly and doesn't leave you with hours of a speech impediment or slackjaw. Post-procedure discomfort for several crowns was zero, plus the fit was immediately natural. Dental hygienist Marianna is the best I ever had. Savane performed my ZOOM whitening and some other work. These ladies explain everything and take great care. I have had whitening before, but the ZOOM provided eye-popping results that vastly exceeded my expectations. Beverly Hills dentists specifically advertise if they offer ZOOM. The prices at the practice are the same or less than other dental offices I have been to over the past few years, so you are paying the same for 21st century equipment as you would for the traditional style of dentistry. Plus, Dr. Raymond will happily work with you on a treatment plan you can live with. The office is as immaculate as a procedure room in a top hospital, and the dental staff dress and behave like they are working in one. In the waiting room, you will find a "Comfort Menu,' offering everything from nitrous to pillows to headphones. The business side staff is likewise warm, competent and accommodating. everything you miI am a senior and have had lots of experience with dental work over decades in different places. I have had great dentists, but Dr. Raymond and Skyline Dental folks are absolutely the best and I am very grateful.

It was a refreshing first time experience for me to be injected with a light local anesthetic that didn't hurt going in and the numbness was gone in less than two hours. Well done, doc!

This is the third dentist I've had in almost 30 years (I've moved around in Tucson) and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Raymond and staff make you feel welcome, comfortable and at ease in their clean and beautiful facility (it used to house an art gallery). Marianna is the best dental hygienist I've ever had - she is knowledgeable, patient and thorough. Dr. Raymond and staff excel in providing personalized, up-to-date service and they do an exceptional job of providing extras for anxious patients as well (there are many options listed for you to choose from when you first arrive). This is the first time I've ever reviewed a dental practice, but this place deserves a 5 star recommendation for all the above reasons.

Before seeing Dr. Raymond and his staff, dental work ranked as one of the top fears in my life. As a result, I avoided seeing a dentist, which made my dental needs even greater. Finally I reached the point where I could no longer ignore my dental issues. My experience at Dr. Raymond's office has been positive and welcoming. Liz, Kolby and Brianna in the office brighten my day as soon as I come in. Melissa and Silvane, who assist Dr. Raymond, are professional and personable - they are a huge help in keeping me relaxed and comfortable. Marianna, Dr. Raymond's dental hygienist, is exceptionally skilled, extremely considerate and very knowledgeable. She accommodates every request and works quickly and thoroughly. She has even helped me learn how to better brush my teeth Dr. Raymond is skilled and patient, and truly wants to help alleviate any fears a patient might have, and I had a lot! He was careful to keep me as comfortable as possible. I never thought I would say that going to the dentist is a positive experience, but Dr. Raymond and his staff make it just that. I am grateful to them, not only for helping me get the dental care I so desperately needed, but also for helping me feel comfortable and learning that, with the right dentist, there is no need to delay the care you need.

Skyline Dental is a super modern upscale dental office with the latest technology. Dr Raymond created the perfect crown that fits well, functions great, looks natural, and is the right color! He is thorough and seems focussed on preventing problems before they start, not just fixing problems later. Dental staff are all friendly, reassuring, and great educators. Receptionists greeted me with a smile and knew my name. And then there's the "comfort menu" and hot towel after my cleaning. The whole experience was basically like going to a spa!

Skyline Dental is the best dental office I have been! I'm very picky when it comes to choosing my dentist. Dr. Raymond is super gentle and careful.
