A Diplomat is a designation for a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the speciality, and who is certified by the American Board of Periodontology. This select accreditation requires a comprehensive, qualifying and oral examination covering all phases of periodontal disease and its treatment, including dental implants, with re-certification every six years. Dr. Badishyan, has been a member of our dental team for 10 plus years. She is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry, and a Professor of Hygiene studies at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Badishyan, is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Badishyan, loves traveling and has a genuine love of her dogs, which she has rescued.
Dr. George Bandelac is a a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. His interdisciplinary training and years of clinical experience allow him to restore the form and function of the teeth and gums to a natural esthetic result. He is a former Associate Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy, Department of Prosthodontics and Periodontology and was awarded Outstanding Clinical Faculty in 2010. He frequently lectures on periodontics and dental implants both within the United States and around the world.
Locally, Dr. Bandelac is founder of the OrthoPerio Institute, an advanced education study club that provides courses on developments in dentistry to both clinicians and their staff. Courses are given on all surgical aspects of periodontics, implant dentistry and orthodontics. Unique to the Institute, courses include case study presentations with a special emphasis on clinical treatment planning.
Dr. Bandelac is committed to minimally invasive treatment techniques. His experience shows that with the right diagnosis, many conditions that once required disruptive surgery can now be treated less invasively using modern technologies. His areas of expertise include multidisciplinary protocols in dentofacial esthetics, dental implants, fixed and removable prosthetics and periodontal procedures, which include plastic surgery, cosmetic dental implants, sinus lifts and advanced bone grafting.

The hygienist Kathy did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and giving me valuable instructions on how to maintain a healthy mouth. The office is amazing and so is Dr Lucy who takes her time with every patient and their treatment.

Dr. Lucy is the best! I am someone who was scared of the dentist for years. Dr. Lucy identified this at our first meeting and she has really been great at being patient with me and helping me improve my dental health. Dr Lucy and the staff at Skylaserdental are the most wonderful, professional group I have ever had the pleasure to go to. Dr. Lucy and all of her staff are wonderful! I first went to her with a broken tooth while pregnant, she made the whole process pain free and reassured me every step of the way and she saved my tooth! I really can't recommend this practice enough, they are amazing.

I was recently in Florida and suffered an extremely painful toothache and Dr. Lucy assisted me in getting some antibiotics calling several pharmacies in the area I was in (apparently the all close early) and made certain certain that I got them. She went above and beyond to assist me and I am very grateful.

Dr Badishyan is the absolute BEST! If you want someone who takes her time and has incredible attention to detail, she is definitely for you. She stops to show you what she's seeing in your mouth. Truly understanding how my teeth are deteriorating because of my flossing habits, has finally gotten me to do it regularly! I fee like family at Skylaser dental and like they really care about my dental health. The office is also incredibly clean, and my appointments have always started right on time!

After years as a satisfied patient of Dr. Pedicino I was quite concerned about working with a "new" dentist. Dr. Lucy VERY quickly alleviated any of my concerns...She has been absolutely REMARKABLE!!!! Her knowledge and professional skills are incredible..!!!! She is a Master-! Especially the dreaded "Root Canals". She is extremely skilled with this procedure. I never had such a pleasant and quick procedure. Her continued patience to achieve nothing short of "perfection" in all of the work she has done on my teeth is nothing short of amazing....!! The personal and professional attention from Dr Lucy, and her entire staff is so welcoming and personal! I hadn't been to the dentist in years and the dentist was kind and comforting. I had to get tooth extracted and the procedure was quick and easy. The staff was supportive and caring through whole procedure.

Dr. Lucy and her associate Debbie are absolute gems. From the moment I walked into Dr. Lucy's office, she and her staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. I've seen some other dentists, and they don't even come close to the professionalism and skill Dr. Lucy exhibits. On top of that, not only is she a great DMD, she is even a better person - very personable and kind. It's reassuring to finally have a great dentist - 10/10.
