Dr. Arindam Kakkar is a graduate of NYU, College of Dentistry (2006). In recognition of his academic record and clinical skill while in dental school, Dr. Kakkar was elected to membership into the dental honor society, the OMICRON KAPPA UPSILON. Membership into the society is limited to those dental students who have distinguished themselves by excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and potential qualities for future professional growth and attainments. He also has a general dentistry degree from India, where he amassed 5 years of experience.
Upon graduation from NYU, Dr. Kakkar started his career in Abington, a suburb of Philadelphia where he spent eight years. The new practice he established is now a successful office serving thousands of patients. He recently relocated to Morris County, New Jersey, to be close to his family.
Dr. Kakkar is proficient at and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, full mouth restorations, including same day crown, bridge therapy, dental implants, oral surgery, denture therapy, cosmetic dentistry, composite/cosmetic fillings and Invisalign. Dr. Kakkar prefers to perform most procedures in office without referring out, strongly believes that 95% of all treatment can be done in our office.
He has spent hundreds of hours on continuing education in order to stay abreast of all the new dentistry innovations including new techniques and technology. The hallmark of his practice is his ethics in dealing with patients. He considers his patients comfort as his priority and educating them of their best options, his duty.
Dr. Kakkars passions are soccer, formula 1 racing, movies, and travelling. He would like to adopt a British bulldog someday and travel around the world. His favorite quote is Unless you are a shark and can grow back your teeth, take care of the ones you want to keep! and his promise to them is just that - helping people preserve their teeth through quality care.
Kinnari grew up in Atlanta Georgia, where she obtained her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1992. She enjoys caring for patients and building a professional relationship with them. Kinnari strives to make each individual patient have a welcoming, educated and pleasant experience.
She looks forward to meeting with you and helping you achieve your optimal dental health. As a member of the Skylands team, she is always looking for an opportunity to provide the highest level of care to patients of our community and beyond.
Sandra is a graduate of Berdan Medical Institute with over 14 years of dental assisting experience. She enjoys meeting new people and helping patients have a great experience when visiting our dental office. A strong desire to learn the latest advancements in dental care, and technology are what first attracted her to Skylands Dental.

Dr. Kakkar and his team are amazing, I've never felt as comfortable in a dentist's office before. I've had multiple fillings done here and every aspect of my experience has been exemplary. Dr. Kakkar is thorough and careful not to cause pain , and the whole staff is friendly and professional.

Aside from the facility being clean and kind staff I will never return. After having two fillings done that were not sealed or filed correctly I have to have 2 crowns implanted. I read reviews about offices before my visit and thought I was getting what I needed but one of my fillings broke just two months later while flossing and the other was not sealed and is irreparable aside from a crown.

I had an appointment last year before everything shutdown. I got sick unexpectedly, I had a bad cough so I had to cancel my appointment because I can't get dental work done while coughing and they still charged me $50 because I didn't give a 24 hr notice.Just think about themselves,no sympathy.Staff was nice when I first been going there then they got nasty.He messed up one of my fillings and blamed me and still charged me. They just weren't too friendly.Im going somewhere else that has updated x-ray equipment also. The mouthpiece for x-rays is so 80s

They take pride in their work: I had two fillings done by Dr Kakkar. He did an outstanding job. Also, the woman who does the cleanings is very thorough.I am very pleased with the dental work and staff. The facility is very comfortable.and clean. I highly recommend this practice.

My daughter and I went into the office yesterday to have some work done. We were met at the front desk by Jessica who is just the sweetest ,nicest and most personable woman that I ever met .Unfortunately my daughter needed to have a cavity filled and it was her first time, but Dr. Arie was extremely nice, patient and careful with her. I needed a root canal in which we ran into some issues. However, the Assistant Sandra and Dr. Arie took great care and time with me, doing a wonderful job. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone who's looking for preventative care or to anyone who has more major oral issues that need to be fixed.

This was an overall great experience. I called the office the morning after I realized I had chipped a tooth. They fit me in the same day I called. Dr. Khokhar was patient and explained the situation in its entirety to me. It turned out I just needed a quick filling. I typically hate getting shots in my mouth, but I must say I barely felt anything as Dr. K gave me the shot. He made sure to ask me throughout the whole procedure if I was doing okay. I recommend him 150%. I plan to use him as my routine dentist going forward.
