Our doctors are continually involved in advanced dental education, often conducting workshops for dental professionals. They employ the latest methods and technologies. In fact, they were the first team in South Jersey to perform All-on-4 treatments.
Dr. Michael Yasner has practiced in Cherry Hill since joining Dr. Sullivan - who founded this practice - in 1986. Dr. Yasner is from Long Island, New York. He came to the Philadelphia area to attend college at the University of Pennsylvania, staying on to attend Penn's School of Dental Medicine. At Penn, Dr. Yasner received his dental degree, a Fellowship in Advanced General Dentistry, and his Certificate in Periodontics.
In 1992, Dr. Yasner became Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics. Dr. Yasner is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. Excellence in patient care, wonderful communication skills, close coordination with referring general dentists and dental specialists, as well as a great sense of humor have all contributed to Dr. Yasner's success.
Dr. Kazemi is from Long Island, New York . He attended New York University for his undergraduate and dental education on full academic scholarships. He then received his certificate in Periodontics after completing a three year residency program in 1997 at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kazemi was selected as the Nobel Biocare Implant Fellow at Penn, completing his advance implant training in June, 1998.
Dr. Kazemi 's honors include OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) membership (1994) and the Director 's Award in Postdoctoral Periodontics at Penn (1997), where he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor since 1997. Dr. Kazemi continues his commitment to continuing dental education as part of 'Drs. Yasner, Kazemi & La Study Club'.
Dr. Kazemi is a staff member at Virtua. He is a member of the American Academy of Peridontology and the American Academy of Osseointegration. In May 2003, Dr. Kazemi became Board Certified as a Diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Vu Dang La is a native of Vietnam, where he received his first dental degree (DDS) in 2001. In 2006 he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Infectious Diseases in France, where he started his career as a dental clinician, educator and researcher. He obtained his second dental degree (DMD) and specialty training in Periodontics in 2015 from the University of Pennsylvania, where he practiced periodontics in the Penn Faculty Practice, and taught in the Department of Periodontics. Dr. La has published more than 25 articles in the medical and dental fields and given many presentations.
Dr. La is Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery, including non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal plastic gingival graft surgery, crown lengthening, esthetic correction (gummy smile), bone regeneration procedures, all aspects of dental implant surgery, and interdisciplinary perio-endo and perio-ortho cases.
Dr. La is well known as a most caring doctor to his patients. He always takes time to understand the patient concerns, and addresses them in the most appropriate fashion. His practice philosophy is to provide patients with the least invasive treatments, while still providing the gold standard of care. When he is not with his patients, he enjoys spending time with his young family, reading, or swimming. Dr. La resides in Cherry Hill.

The staff at Sky Periodontics are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Kazemi is an excellent periodontist. I was very, very pleased with the treatment he gave me.

I'm not just expressing nervousness, I am a person treated for anxiety disorder. Once, I visited an oral surgeon and he could not proceed because my blood pressure went sky high!! I felt so confident in Dr Yasner mostly because he explained everything so thoroughly; he took time to review history. All went as he explained; no pain during or after the gum grafting procedure. I know where I'll return if need be. Also, the effort to maintain air quality with filtering and cleanliness was noticeable beyond any medical office I have been in throughout this time of covid.

Dr. La and everyone in the office was consistently courteous and helpful in dealing with my dental emergency. The previous dentist I saw believed I might lose the entirety of my tooth, but Dr. La was able to save the portion of my tooth that was not damaged and drastically improve my prognosis. The surgical procedures were done with great care and I would highly recommend them.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SKY Periodontics to anyone in need of periodontic services. The office is modern and immaculately clean, the staff is welcoming and friendly, and Dr. La is very professional and clearly superbly skilled, with a very light touch. He answered all of my questions, provided guidance during my follow-up visit, and made me feel valued as a patient.

Dr. Yazner explains the procedure in advance of the surgery. Although not a pleasant experience, he is professional and interested in the patient's well-being.

I made an appointment for a cleaning as I've already had the surgery. I explained the entire situation to the brilliant person that answered the phone. She scheduled my appointment. I took an unpaid day from work to attend this appointment. While en route to their office, I called to advise that due to a construction detour, I would be a few minutes late. Another brilliant employee told me that my appointment was cancelled days before because they don't just do cleanings. She claims that they contacted me. Mighty ironic that I had no missed calls or voicemails from these people. Very unprofessional!! Reply to Owner: I had an appointment for yesterday. Don't try to pretend as if you don't know what I'm referring to. Ask your receptionists that answer the phone about this! So unprofessional!!

Dr. La at SKY Periodontics just got done drilling 4, yes 4 implants into my mouth over the past year. I have never drilled for oil, but this was similar I'm sure. Covid-19 slowed down the procedure somewhat, but no problem with that. Dr. La really did a great job on me. He took out my decayed, infected, disgusting upper back teeth and really took time to clean out my gums, and said I would feel better getting all the infection out of my body, and he was right on the money. Nice guy, really professional, very knowledgeable, put me at ease, no pain, no stress. All the staff are great to work with also. Everybody is very friendly and accommodating. Dr. La is my new Personal Jesus. Thanks Doc. Scott Saline

I had a very positive experience, as much as waiting a year to complete an implant can fall into that category;) Very clean and inviting waiting room with plenty to read while waiting; although I never waited more than a few minutes. Dr. Yazemi is polite and very professional who thoroughly explained the procedure. The assistants were also very courteous and nice. I definitely recommend their practice.
