Bowling Green Board Certified pediatric dentist Dr. Mandy Ashley is originally from upstate New York. She graduated from high school at age 16 and became a Rotary International Exchange Student to Finland for a year. She attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated in 2 years with a Bachelor's in Science, majoring in Biology. She also became an Emergency Medical Technician while in college to gain an additional perspective on emergency health care.
Dr. Ashley graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1999 with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, she also attended night school at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education and was awarded a Masters in Education in 1999.
As a new general dentist in 1999, Dr. Ashley took a one-year position with the Arctic Slope Native Association to workin underserved Barrow, Alaska. She fell in love with the unique community located along the Arctic Ocean coast and stayed 11 years. During this time, she provided dental care for the people of Barrow and the surrounding villages. She flew out to the villages of Atqasuk, Kaktovik, Nuiqsut, Anaktuvuk Pass, Wainwright and Point Lay via small single engine prop-plane. Dr. Ashley developed a school-based oral health program, started a children's dental clinic and developed and taught a dental assistant training program. In 2009, Dr. Ashley was nationally recognized by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a Community Health Leader.
Dr. Ashley continued her education by going back to school to specialize in pediatric dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital/The Ohio StateUniversityin Columbus, Ohio. She graduated in June 2012 with her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters in Science for her research on individual biomarkers involved in healing after serious dental injuries. Dr. Ashley's residency had a special emphasis on sedation dentistry and treatment of people with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Mandy Ashley has four young children- Asa, Sabine, Wyatt and Isaiah! She enjoys challenging CrossFit workouts, the peloton bike, and rollerskating as fast as possible! Dr. Mandy Ashley also taught part time at the Dental Hygiene School at WKU and currently volunteers at the Commonwealth Health Free Clinic 'Dentistry After Dark'. She loves spending time with her children while exploring all that Southern Kentucky has to offer!

I've been bringing my son to this dentistry since he was old enough. He's now 8. Me and his father are not together and co-parent so I'm petty sure we gave this establishment both of our contact info so they could get ahold of both of us. Well I guess my son had an appointment that I didn't know about and they only contacted his father and sent him a reminder and they didn't show up for the appointment, 1 time! So now they have dismissed my son and won't see him anymore and now I have to find him a new dentist. They also apparently sent out a letter or notice and there was no response so they dismissed him. Well I didn't get anything, no letter, no phone call, no text, nothing. I called earlier to see when his next appointment was cause I knew it had been a while since his last one and find out this s***. Like if you didn't hear from the father you should've contacted the mother. I know they had my info on file they have called me before. I'm absolutely furious!!!

Top tier in pediatric dentistry. My boys have been going here for years. Not only are they always kind, considerate and patient, they know that dentist visits are uncomfortable for anyone, especially children, so their rooms are sensory friendly in a casual setting. My oldest song has nonverbal autism. When they told me my son needed General Anesthesia to fix his dental problems, he was only four. Naturally, I was scared. I cried, I was so worried, but SKY pediatrics talked to me thru text the night before and for aftercare. I was informed every step of the way, He's almost 7 now and the dental work they did has lasted these years through his oral sensory activities and chewing toys, and not only did his smile come out perfectly, he still has beautiful teeth. No caps falling off, no cracks, nothing. Very thankful for their flexibility and proficiency.

My son had his tongue tie revised by Dr. Ashley and we had such a wonderful experience. Dr. Ashley and all the staff at sky were absolutely wonderful, compassionate, quick and efficient. My son didn't even cry. I came looking for reviews before my sons revision and was so nervous before, so I am writing in hopes to ease some fears of parents in the same situation. Rest easy, Dr. Ashley is a wonderful provider.

Unfortunately after several years here I will be taking my kids elsewhere. My entire family was quarantined for Covid the month of January. It was a difficult time financially and for the kids schooling. My husband and I both could not work. The office staff is requiring I pay a fee as unknown to me I missed the children's visit in January. Awful customer service. I absolutely understand people not showing makes it difficult for scheduling but there should be times where there are exceptions. The last thing I need is another fee on top of what you will charge for missing while my entire family was massively sick.

My daughter is 10 and this is the only dentist that she has ever been to. I called today to make an appointment because she was having pain and they told me that they wouldn't have any appointments available all summer. They basically dismissed me from the practice for no reason.

Called to get an appointment for my daughter. The lady that I spoke with was very rude and wouldn't even give me a quote to pay out of pocket. I'll absolutely be taking my business elsewhere

I called today to reschedule my child's appointment. The lady that I talked to was so rude. It was a complete shock to me because my child has been a patient there for 12 years, and I've never had an experience like that with this dentistry. It's a shame because Dr. Ashley is awesome, but some of her new staff puts a damper on this place. I may take my business elsewhere.

Both of my boys go here. My first son is special needs and had to have teeth fixed. He was done quickly and they look beautiful. My two year old had his first checkup a month ago and hes still asking me everyday to go to the "Doctor Mouth."
