My review will be bad as the minimum wait time has never been less than an hour. I came in with a two year old and after an hour of waiting, I walked over and asked how long we still have to wait for our dentist appointment. To my question, I heard a sharp answer that I can leave if I do not want to wait or they can reschedule the appointment of the child to the dentist. Never once have I heard an apology for such a long wait.

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. The staff is friendly, and the office is very clean. Dr. Skondas was so kind to me. My teeth were in bad shape and four dentists said they wouldn't clean my teeth unless I got a scaling first , but my insurance won't cover it, and it's expensive out of pocket. Dr. Skordas did the scaling out of the goodness of his heart. Then he cleaned them himself. I have newer had a dentist clean my teeth, always before was a hygienist.. He did a great job and I actually look forward to my next visit, and I am a person who doesn't like going to the dentist

Had a loose upper tooth, first I was told $150 to take care of it, but once the dentist showed up In the office it went to $300 to wiggle it out. I had insurance and this was the practice in the network, "ONLY" problem, his staff at the time just ignored the claim and it timed out, so a total complete loss, i had to pay the full amount out of pocket with no insurance helping, even though the insurance was paid and in force !! I Don't recommend this practice, to many unnecessary complications created internally.

Well if you have 3 or 4 hours to sit in a waiting room this is the place even with a appointment made weeks in advance so I don't recommend this place

Very poor service and never seems to get the job done had to keep returning while wearing plastic temporary to fix the work.

My daughter and I have both gone to Dr Skordas several times. 5 star visit every time-I can't understand why he would get any negative reviews. He's thorough, takes the time to explain things, and I believe that he cares more than he's out to make money. Case in point: Today I went in with inflamed gums; another dentist at a chain dentistry told me I had periodontal disease and needed a very expensive deep cleaning. Dr Skordas figured out that this is not the case; I had actually injured my gums with my waterpik flosser which I had used on a high setting. He also educated me on my clenching issue. Years ago I went in there with stained teeth due to an adverse reaction from a whitening mouthwash and he was able to remove the stains in one visit. I highly recommend him and I won't be going anywhere else again.

What a nightmare. Took my poor 95 year old mother to have teeth pulled and get dentures. The teeth got pulled but the roots were left behind. Wd were told she would have dentures within w weeks. 6 weeks later she had been there for at least 4 visits and still no dentures. Had to take her to Aspen dental where she had her dentures the next day. They found the roots and first had go pull them. My poor 95 year old mother didnt know what was happening to her. He refuses to make a concession on the charges. The dentures and roots left behind were taken to his office but he refused to speak to me. Horrible trwatment for a dentist who charged $350 for a 10 minute cleaning

I would not recommend going to Dr. Skordas. I needed to have a tray made for surgery. After making it incorrectly three times I wanted a refund and he refused. The third time I went to the office and sat on the chair to make sure it fit. He very abruptly asked me why I was sitting there and said he didn't need to check it. So I went to have my surgery done got sedated and the surgeon realized it didn't fit and it was made incorrectly for the third time. Not only was it an extreme inconvenience going to his office three times. Another whole day was taken off of work for my surgery and being sedated. All of that could of been prevented if he took the minute to make sure it fit when I went there. When I said I wanted a refund he refused stating it wasn't his fault. Not only is he incredibly rude he is extremely unethical. I can get over the fact that he is always an hour behind with his appointments but this was a whole other level. I also found out he charged a couple of hundred dollars over what it should of been.

Wonderful dentist! I would recommend many times over. He did the actual cleaning on my teeth. I have a few teeth I was told by multiple dentists would need extracted or capped with root canal. He used filling to rebuild a tooth that was almost nonexistent. I was shocked after being told by others it was impossible. Another tooth I was told would need a cap he will be fixing in a month. When I say the tooth was nonexistent it was chipped more than half of the way he literally made a new tooth from white filling. I wish I would have found him sooner as I know he could of saved teeth I've had extracted from other dentists. He was very humble and kind. I've been to so many dentists in my life and I can truly say dr. Skordas is a brilliant dentist. I dont understand why he has bad reviews. I can say I know most people don't like going to the dentist because let's be honest it kind of sucks.. he doesn't have a big staff just a couple front desk women. Because he does all the work himself I can understand why it takes time for an appointment. It's a small office. I cannot reiterate enough how thankful I am to have found him. If you want any chance of saving a tooth that you've been told would need capped for thousands of dollars or extracted by other dentists I would recommend getting his opinion. If he cant fix it with filling I'd say he would know. It's worth a shot if you don't have thousands of dollars to blow or are looking to find out any other options. I waited for two hours for an "emergency appointment." I got in and he told me he literally could not do anything for me. I was repeatedly told that this is an emergency dental appointment by him and that because of that there was nothing he could do. ALL OF THESE REVIEWS ARE TRUE. he 1. Did not introduce me to himself 2. The waiting time for TWO OTHER PATIENTS was two hours 3. He was incredibly rude and wouldn't speak to me like a human being. I am 18 and my mother was with me just because I did not feel comfortable driving with the amount of pain i'm in. She went with me into the room and he wouldn't even look me in the eyes to talk to me. He ignored any questions i had, and refused to listen to any answers i had for his questions. All around this was not a great experience, and I would like to apologize to anyone else i doubted that left a negative review, i should've listened. He is a poor excuse of a dentist, and should have his dental license revoked immediately. I try to see the best in everybody, and i was severely dissatisfied and disappointed in him. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS.

Was given an appointment 7 days prior "as an emergency", after suffering from a tooth. But that's their system for emergency, seeing the doctor.....waiting DAYS to be treated. On my appoitment day, I arrived at the practice by 2:10pm, to give my insurance card & sign a couple pages. Then sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes. Another patient in next cubicle was waiting just like me, and both had been on our chairs until 3:40 pm until Dr. came out. This experience I define to be PATHETIC, and after such a long wait as "an emergency" I just walked out. Office staff isn't friendly either. I WILL NOT recommend this practice to anyone. I never seen anything like it!!

He was very nice and understanding . He is freaking awesome !! along with his staff and patients are very friendly. I came to him 3 times so far working on my dentures and he had gotten me a second pair when everyone knows you only get one pair with Medicaid. He was understanding and still seen me when I was late. I m extremely scared of dentist and bad experience before, but its worth the 42 mins and 16 mile drive for me. They allow the 2 kids to be with me and very nice and very clean and I'm going to recommend him to everyone. He listens to you and tells you the steps as you go along and everything with appointment and the work he has done has gone very quickly than I ever expected. Not like Bradenton dentists. I will come see him and bring everyone i know to him he is very calm and understanding he does fanatic work.
