Dr. Skelton grew up in Gadsden, Alabama with two older sisters and a brother. He attended Auburn University and still makes it back to campus to see the Tigers play. During the summers, he worked in Alaska, in dairy farming and in construction.
Dr. Skelton Graduated from the University of Alabama Dental School in the Spring of 2001 and opened Skelton Family Dentistry in Fort Payne that summer. He built his brand new, state-of-the-art facility in 2007. He attends continuing education meetings all over the country to stay current on the latest innovations in cosmetic dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Skelton is an avid water skier and runner.

Called with emergency wisdom tooth was squeezed in immediately!! Tooth was horrible the nurse and dr was amazing!! I have anxiety over dentist and would recommend too anyone!! Thank you for your help y'all are the best !!!!

We were seen today at Skelton Family Dentistry. The hygienist was rude and blamed my spouse for not taking care of her teeth. She has a condition known as Odontohypophosphatasia. She went through excruciating pain getting the X-ray done. Dr. Skelton did not do an oral exam. He offered to forgoe the 6 month insurance wait and do an extraction of my three worst teeth for 498.00 which we do not have as we are on a fixed income. There is an active infection and he wanted to perform a surgery before the infection was addressed. She left his office in tears from the rude bedside manner and overall neglect that she experienced. This was a prime example of putting money over a patient today.

So let me start by saying I'm no fan of going to the dentist. I had a terrible tooth ache and feared I needed a root canal. I called Dr. skeletons office as a new patient and was relieved when they said that they could see me the next day. Turns out I did need a root canal, which they did with zero pain, and an abundance of care. I could not be any more pleased and grateful for the folks in this practice. It was the best dental experience I've ever had, maybe good enough to convince me to visit every 6 months. Again I can not recommend this practice any more strongly.

I was in absolute pain, losing sleep, not eating and taking off of work. No one could get me in or help until I called and got with Skelton family dentist! They're amazing got me in, pulled 3 of my teeth and had amazing pricing after insurance. 10/10 recommended from me. Overall best dentist in Alabama!

I've ALWAYS had the worst experience with dentists so I just quit going. I had to have 2 back teeth pulled at once and tried Dr. Skelton. It was the best decision I've ever made! I was scared and cried like a baby and the dental hygienist cried with me! Told me it was going to be ok and then he comes in with the best personality. Pulls my teeth in less than 10 minutes. I was in no pain or discomfort at all! Wr laughed about how stunned I was! They ate all so amazing!

As teeth go last minute before Christmas , they said they would take care of me and 1 paper & less than 5 minutes in the waiting room I was in a room in 10 minutes I had a Xray and novacaine . 10 minutes later the Dr pulled it and I was on my way . In less than 30 minutes total , very polite , very gentle , very fast and very satisfied . Thank You

I made the switch to Dr. Skelton as my previous dentist could not get me scheduled for an appointment. I called Dr. Skelton's office and was scheduled for a visit the very next day! Upon arrival I was greeted by the employees. The lobby was very clean and well organized. My wait time to see the hygienist was minimal. It is nice to go to a dentist that keeps appointment times and doesn't cause long waits in the lobby. The hygienist was very informative on every step of the cleaning process being sure to explain what she was doing, why she was doing it, and how it was beneficial to the health of my teeth and gums. They have the latest equipment that made getting my teeth cleaned a pleasant experience. After the cleaning, Dr. Skelton came in and was very personable making me feel at ease at being at the dentist office. He inspected my teeth, informed me of his findings and we scheduled my next visit. Upon leaving I could tell the staff was smiling through their masks as we finished up the paper work and said our goodbyes. Great facility! Great staff! Glad I made the switch to Dr. Skelton!

I decided to have crowns and could have gone to Nashville or Atlanta but after careful review and speaking to past clients I stayed in Fort Payne, Alabama. So glad I did. I have 2 daughters that I've been bringing here for about 6 years now. My youngest would always have to get sedated just for a cleaning anywhere else. With Dr. Mark Skeleton she has done amazing since the 1st visit. You are not just going to a Dr appointment here, you are more like going to see family. My girls absolutely love when I say "dentist appointment" they really get excited. Each and every member of the staff are super amazing. I've never had a complaint and that's rare for me to not find something that isn't up to my expectations at a place but here it's just a wonderful atmosphere, great people. They go above and beyond. I would recommend this place to everyone!!

Visited Dr Skelton today after not being able to get in to my regular dentist. They fit me in when no one else could. I like my old Dentist but I have a new one. Nice atmosphere, clean. Very friendly staff and Dr. Skelton was excellent. They were very thorough with instructions after my procedure and helpful. Highly recommend!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING I had a tooth pulled today and everyone was so sweet! If u don't have insurance it's not even expensive! Took 5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing now I'm home and not in any kind of pain thank y'all so much you guys are wonderful !
