Dr. Prouty was born and raised in South Dakota. He is a chemistry graduate from South Dakota State University. Dr. Prouty completed dental studies at Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2004 before continuing on to be a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia AAID Implant program in 2006. He also completed intravenous sedation training at the Medical College of Georgia.
Graduate of both the surgical, as well as, the prosthetic programs of Misch International Institute. Dr. Prouty is a fellow, a master, and a diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He is a charter member, as well as an Instructor of the Rocky Mountain Dental Institute Implant Training Center. Dr. Prouty's goal has always been to be well trained in all facets of dentistry so he can deliver great personalized and comfortable care to his patients.
Dr. Connor is a graduate of Marquette School of Engineering with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He earned his D.D.S. degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Connor went on to complete medical school at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2007, and completed a general surgery internship in 2008. Dr. Connor completed his oral surgery training in 2010 at LSU, and subsequently joined the private practice of OMSA.
Dr. Connor's surgical interests include dentoalveolar, trama, and reconstructive surgery, and the surgical treatment of diseases of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ, TMD).Dr. Connor has extensive training and experience in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Hanson is our Anesthesiologistwho monitors our patients throughout the entire sedation process to ensure optimal comfort and safety. Dr. Hanson is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesia and has been by Dr. Prouty's side since 2011.
Dr. Hanson received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a Family Practice internship at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Wisconsin and then went on to complete an Internal Medicine residency at Marshfield Clinic. After practicing for a number of years, Dr. Hanson went on to complete his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Bergsbaken is our Anesthesiologistwhomonitors our patients throughout the entire sedation process to ensure optimal comfort and safety. Dr. Bergsbaken is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesia andhas been by Dr. Prouty's side since 2011.
Dr. Bergsbakenreceived his medical school training at the University of Minnesota. He completed his internship at theUniversity of Wisconsin located in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr.Bergsbaken went on to complete his anesthesiology residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

The entire team at sedation dental is hands down the very best. I have a tendency to pass out in the dentists office from extreme ptsd/anxiety and I always feel so comfortable and safe while in their care. I've had to undergo quite a bit of dental procedures over the past couple of years, and they have been able to help me want to smile again. I highly recommend going here if you have dental anxiety, or for any dental work that needs to be done under sedation. I can't praise them enough. Dr. Prouty is the absolute BEST, and his team as well. They helped transform my smile into one worth flashing! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I had a horrible trauma to my teeth. Everyone in the office was wonderful kind, sensitive, answered all my question and secured prior approval from my insurance. Could not be a better experience thus far.

I had some work done and the doctor, nurses and everybody at Sioux Falls Sedation Dentistry where super kind and helpful! Never once did I feel uncomfortable. It's 8 o'clock at night and the doctor called to make sure I was feeling OK.Great people! Great experience!

I always heard the commercials, always thought that this sounded amazing. My teeth were in bad shape to begin with. But after having an accident I had broken teeth that put me in a losing battle. I went to a few different dentists. And after a particularly horrible experience with extraction I had enough. So I decided to give Dr. Prouty a try. Let me tell you. I have absolutely no regrets. Not only are you going to get peace of mind, you also get a level care that is hands down THE BEST. It wasn't just a fix it and send you on your way. I had staff checking in to see how I was doing. And they also were very helpful in finding me meds that I could take! The passion that is put forth by everyone working here, it can't be beat. I am fearful of dental work. But this place you certainly can trust.

I've come to this place many times for about 3 years. Dr. Prouty and everyone else here is top notch and I can't think of any good words to do them enough justice. Your comfort and your teeth are top priority. Dr. Prouty has a big heart and truly cares about his patients.

More than deserving of five stars. Hearing you have to have all of your teeth removed, top and bottom, was rattling.They had a cancellation and all of a sudden my appointment is Tuesday. Despite being closed Fridays, they were there to see me, get additional imaging, and answer all of my many, many questions. Dr Brian Prouty is the most calming, caring, and gentle medical professional I've ever met. He sought me out in the waiting room and made time to speak with me and calm my fears. I felt catered to as an individual, on a personal level instead of x patient needing implants. The whole team treated me like they were treating their own family. 100% professional & courteous in a state of the art facility, but with a caring, gentle vibe. I will swear by this place to everyone I know.

They truly care for their patients and what they are going through. Willing to come in on their days off to help. Amazing. I have never been so impressed with everyone involved in a very scary process. From the beginning stages, Savannah was willing to talk with me numerous times on different options. Dr. Prouty did amazing work. The best of all is Stacy. She is so kind and caring and deserves so much praise.

I have a severe gag reflex and a phobia from a bad childhood experience. As a result I didnt take care of my teeth and needed implants and reconstructive surgery. The entire team here have made me comfortable and confident in their abilities. If you are in need of dental care make your first visit to SFID.
