My days are spent around energetic, fun-loving children: each of them constantly learning and growing. My role is to work with each child and the family to identify their child's specific dental concerns and needs. Subsequently, a care or treatment plan is developed that is painless, efficient, and one that is in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
I want children to graduate from our practice excited about caring for their oral health. It is vital that they experience only positive dental visits and learn why it is essential to keep their oral cavity healthy so as to develop a lifetime of positive habits. When a child transitions to an adult dentist, I want them to be in their best health and to have a smile they love to share!

I have served as a clinical associate professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. It has been an honor to teach the next generation of oral healthcare professionals and to share my knowledge and experience and help them develop their skills and understanding.
In addition to teaching, I have served on boards of the Performance Improvement Committee and Peri-operative Committee at Lexington Medical Center along with serving as vice-chief of Dental Surgery and on the Children's Trust of South Carolina. Every year I complete many hours of continuing education courses to keep informed of new developments in dentistry. Learning from leaders in the field and staying current on new treatment modalities and technologies, enables me to care for and serve my patients more effectively.
Orthodontics is my life. Every new patient who comes to our practice brings a unique set of occlusal problems. Each person deserves an individualized treatment plan that ensures effective and comfortable care to achieve the best smile in a timely manner. I enjoy the challenges each person presents as much as I enjoy getting to know them!

I served as chair of the Department of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina for 12 years. In this role, I oversaw the education of both orthodontic and pediatric dental residents in training.
I attend many orthodontic continuing education courses to stay current on new treatment techniques and technology. I believe in lifelong learning that sets the foundation for how I use evidence-based research to continually improve the quality of care I provide our patients.
Additionally, I have been honored to have been appointed by the U.S. Department of State as Honorary Consul of Brazil in the State of South Carolina. In this position, I am able to help fellow citizens by providing free consular services and assistance to members of the Brazilian communities in South Carolina.
I grew up in So Paulo, the mega-city in Brazil, and have lived in South Carolina since I finished my orthodontic residency in 1997. I currently divide my time between Charleston and Columbia and spend as much time as possible with my family.
My wife, Dr. Renata S. Leite, is a periodontist. We have two young children, Sophia and Nicholas, who keep us very busy outside of our practices. We enjoy boating, hiking, reading, and cooking together.
It's important for children to visit a dentist six months after their first tooth erupts or by the time the child turns one year of age. This is the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
It can take a few years (from the age of about six months until about three years) for all of your child's baby (or primary) teeth to fully erupt. During that time, your child's gums may feel tender. The use of a cool cloth or children's pain medication can help during time of eruption of teeth. Help your child develop healthy hygiene habits for their new teeth by making brushing fun and entertaining. Help them remember to brush after eating and before bed. We recommend that parents be actively involved in your child's oral hygiene practices until age 8 or 9!

We've been seeing Dr.Singh and his staff for about 2 years now. My son is autistic and we went through multiple offices until we found Singh Dentistry. Hands down the best all around. My son definitely does not cooperate and that is never an issue in there. We are still treated with respect & they never make us feel like we're less than because of this. We always get a quiet room and they do everything they can to make my son more comfortable and enjoy his time there regardless of the situation. 5 star service!! 5 star facility! 5 star dentist! This was my 1 year old's first dentist visit. Everything went so smoothly from calling to set up her appointment, to the actual appointment day. They can even quickly communicate through text message. That was a nice "extra" that a lot of offices don't do. I just knew her visit was going to be a hassle for everyone involved, but they all worked so well with her. She didn't shed one tear. They even had my daughter's name displayed at the front desk, welcoming her as a new patient! The entire visit was exceptional! Thank you Dr. Singh and staff! See you all in 6 months!

My son has been a patient of Dr. Singh for almost 5 years now. We were referred because my son needed extensive dental work at a young age. When I say my son was a difficult patient, I mean screaming, talking trash, and refusing to cooperate. Dr. Singh is patient, kind and sweet. everyone in the practice is awesome. I can't reccomend them enough.

Doctor Singh has seen both our children and now takes care of our grandchildren. Our granddaughter Emma just loves him and loves to have her x-rays done when it's time. She loves Mr. Slurppy too. Doctor Singh take time with everyone as family and has a great staff who truly enjoys children. Children in our family have been seeing Doctor Singh for almost 30 years. The best person in heart, care and upmost respect that anyone could ever ask to have their child see. We trust him so much and will continue to see him.
