Shelby has been a dental assistant for almost 8 years. She became interested in the field when she started wearing braces and got to know the assistants at the orthodontic office. Before going to college she spent the summershadowing in some dental offices to see what part of the dental field she wanted to work in. While attending college, she started working in a dental lab and decided her niche was in general dentistry. Shelby learned a lot from Dr. Rick when she worked with him at another office. When she heard he was opening an office in Republic close to her home, she wanted to help out anytime she was needed.
Shelby was born and raised in the Springfield/Nixa area and has lived here most of her life. She met her husband in Texas and was able to convince him that Missouri was the place to be! They have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a horse and some cows who are all spoiled rotten. Shelby also works for her family's forensics business and helps with her husband's dumpster business. She enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors, decorating or just hanging out with family and friends. They also love to help out at their church and around their community.
