My name is Dr. Samuel Bacon, and I am the owner and main general dentist at Simply Smile. Im from Indianapolis Indiana and currently live in Indianapolis. I graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and Im actively involved with the American Dental Association (ADA), Indiana Dental Association (IDA), Indianapolis Dental District Society (IDDS).
I enjoy helping my patients achieve the smile they have always wanted and restoring their oral health. There are so many advancements in the dental field today that help me give my patients the best treatment available. I can offer my patients the highest quality of care in a fun and relaxing atmosphere to get their work done with comfort and ease.

UPDATED REVIEW 1 MONTH LATER: so 1 month down and the tenderness and soreness after having the work done never subsided. Still painful to chew. I woke up yesterday with an abscess on the gum next to one of the teeth that had a larger filling placed & excruciating pain in 1 other tooth they worked on . . . 1 month in and having pain in the SAME teeth . . . Something isn't right. I tried called SEVERAL TIMES (both locations as I know they split the week between 2 locations) and no one answers the phone or returns voicemails. Sketchy practice for sure. I'm going to take my business elsewhere and hopefully find a business that does thorough work that I won't have to return a month later to repair. If you enjoy tooth pain and botched dental work this is your place! If not . . . Go elsewhere. I came to Simply Smile for the first time after having consistent tooth pain. I was a new patient & they were able to get me in within 2 days & fix the problem right then! Dr Marcus also fixed a broken filling from a previous dentist that was a separate issue. 3 fillings in 1 day (in and out within 2-3 hours) on my first visit! The entire staff is very friendly & make you feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend them & I will be going back routinely.

Dr. Marcus has amazing chair-side manner. I had a small filling that needed placed in the front of my mouth and he was extremely thorough. His assistant, Karlie, was amazing at placing the filling, as well! The color match was prefect! What an amazing experience!

I'm filling this out for 4 people since we all came in the same week. I will have to say we were in the process of looking for another dentist until this experience. We've been seeing Sam since my girls were babies (13 plus years if I recall) and the office really changed over the last 3-4 years. The last visit we had there we waited over 3 hours. I felt like the communication and experience was sub par at best. I said I'm going to give it one more try. This experience was MUCH better. Your office staff is extremely kind and friendly and genuinely act like they care about the patients (the brunette, I'm sorry I didn't get her name, who sits to the right when you walk in is AWESOME!) your dental hygienist is so friendly and your new dentist I just met this week is kind (I don't know him yet so the jury is still out). We will give this another try. I'm glad this experience was better :)

Got some cavities filled which went fine (besides the pain 2 weeks later), but the woman who was filing down my fillings caught my lip in the dremmel which did not feel good at all. Took 6 days to heal.

I have been going to Dr Bacon since 2003 at Ball State in college! He is conservative and always has a gentle non judgemental approach. My kids and husband love and trust him also!

I had a very pleasant visit just recently that regained my faith in the dentist. I had a implant put in and Dr. Bacon did a great job. I had barely any pain and the procedure was so quick. Thanks Dr. Bacon

Shady business practices and shoddy work. I was a client here for years until I realized their devious practices. I had crown work done here and in a 2 year period the crown they installed fell out 3 times. The first 2 times they put the same crown back on and charged me out of pocket to fix their shoddy work. The third time they couldn't get me in and when they finally did decided the crown needed to be redone completely. My insurance wouldn't cover it due to being charged for the original one 2 years prior. I got a quote for the repair without insurance and paid for it upfront. One year later I got a bill for 440 dollars for the part insurance wouldn't cover even though we had an agreement to not run insurance and to my knowledge I had already paid everything upfront. After looking further into this issue I realized I had been getting double charged for much of the work I had done there. Overall, this company does not guarantee there work in any way and appears to by engaged in types of insurance fraud at their clients expense. Do not go here unless you want to todifferent dentist. be scammed and have the work repaired by a professional

My dentist was very physical with my mouth, which was really painful, the next day I had pain the muscles of my jaw. I felt that his force was completely uncomfortable and unnecessary for the type of dental work I needed. I felt very concerned about his service. Would definitely recommend finding a new dental provider.
