Having studied human communication sciences at Northwestern University as an undergraduate, she discovered just how important the oral cavity was in the development of speech and communication, especially in the development of a child.
Dr. Teo is born and raised in Singapore, and he obtained his dental degree in 2004 from the University of Adelaide. After working as a general dentist for 8 years, he moved to New York to pursue his passion for orthodontics. He completed both international and postgraduate studies in Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedic training in NYU and is a diplomate for the American Board of Orthodontics.

With that in mind, she decided to pursue an education in dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from NYU College of Dentistry. As a dental student, she was selected as an honor student in Orthodontics and participated in several research studies related to accelerated tooth movement.
After obtaining her DDS degree, Dr. Lee decided to pursue her passion for Orthodontics and went on to specialize in the field. She stayed on in New York and continued her post-doctoral orthodontic specialty training for an additional three years at NYU College of Dentistry.
Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), the only orthodontic board certification that is recognized by the American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontists. She is currently an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the International Association for Dental Research. When shes not busy treating patients, Dr. Lee is also active in the field of research, having co-authored several articles related to accelerated tooth movement, one of which has been cited in over 100 other articles.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Lee is a firm believer in giving back to the community and using her skills and knowledge to help better the standards of oral health in the underserved community. She has been involved in several dental outreach programs and volunteer trips overseas such as in Grenada and in Oaxaca, Mexico, providing free dental services and dental necessities to patients who have never had or only had limited access to basic dental care.
When not bending wires and fixing brackets, Dr. Lee keeps herself busy with pilates and yoga as part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. She also enjoys traveling with her husband. When theyre at home together, she enjoys cooking with him and they also love barbecuing all year round.

Ever since I was a kid, I've had this huge anxiety and fear of going to the dentist. I normally feel like I'm going to have a panic attack in the dental chair. But not with Dr. Teo and Dr. Lee! Both doctors are so caring and patient I felt super comfortable in every visits. I even fell asleep in the dental chair a couple of times. Other orthodontists told me it would take 2+ years and possible surgery to straighten my teeth. but it took only 1 year with no surgery! and I love my new smile!!!! When I went back to my primary dentist for annual check up today, my general dentist told me Dr. Teo and Dr.Lee did a such an amazing job that not every orthodontist could have done it without surgeries! Thank you Dr.Teo and Dr.Lee and their amazing team!

Amazing orthodontist! I would give him more then five stars if it were possible! He is so kind and did a great and thorough job fixing my permanent retainer. It was a perfect job! Dr. Teo and the whole staff is warm, friendly and easy to talk to. I recommend him to anyone that needs dental/ortho treatment in NYC.

Amazing!!!!! Can not say better things about this office, the staff and definitely the doctors! They have convenient hours for the working parents where during the day is not so easily feasible. Their payment plan and explanation are super clear, concise, direct with no hidden fees. Dr. Lee and Dr. Theo are simply the best people. Always smiling, always personable, very knowledgeable, very professional and super accommodating. My 8 yr old daughter's phase I became loose one day and doctor made every effort to make it convenient for us and even came to the office specifically for 2 patients to fix the problem in a timely manner. I was extremely grateful for the opportunity that they even helped in making the appointment at a time that would not interfere with school absence and work issues. Amazing. Both my daughters 8 & 11 are receiving orthodontic treatments and both are very comfortable during and after the procedures and adjustments and extremely happy about their progress... My little one hated to smile due to small teeth and underbite and now her whole demeanor and facial structure is apparently differing for the better due to the fantastic work of the doctors... And certainly motivated my little one to do her part in self oral care for optimum results... She's loves to make them proud of her on her visits! My older one is so happy with her already straightened teeth from her braces that she also maintains very well and doesn't want to let her docs down nor herself. I love this team and hope to be a part of them for a very long long time.... My 5 yr old is already enroute to braces as well. So they will not be getting rid of me anytime soon.

Dr. Lee and Dr. Teo are great Orthodontists, they took time to listen to my needs and concerns with my teeth and catered the right Invisalign program for me. Great results post Invisalign treatment, very happy! They made the process easy and seamless, highly recommend them!

Best orthodontists in Murray Hill/Kips Bay/Gramercy -- if not lower Manhattan. We interviewed a half-dozen practices to find Phase 1 (jaw expander, before middle school braces) care for our kid. Drs. Lee & Teo listened to our concerns and we came up with a treatment plan together. Since then it has just been a pleasure. Our kid likes going; his primary experience is watching TV on the ceiling, not the actual orthodontics. So clearly they are doing it right!

Drs. Lee, Teo and their office manager Karen are an amazing team. Every visit was smooth and I never had to wait. Both Drs. Lee and Teo are thorough and explained the course of my treatment in great detail so I could understand. They are very professional and I am thrilled with my ongoing treatment!
