Dr. Carlotto decided to enter the dental field because it was the perfect combination of his ability to connect with people on a personal level and his enduring love of science. Once he was finished with dental school, the decision to specialize in orthodontics was a fairly easy one too. He really enjoyed the treatment planning and critical thinking aspects of the field. Every person and smile is unique, and the most important part of the process is customizing the best plan possible for their one-of-a-kind circumstances from the very beginning!
After he graduated from Tufts University with his undergraduate degree, Dr. Carlotto attended The Harvard School of Dental Medicine to pursue his dental doctorate. Following the completion of his DMD, he received his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at The Ohio State University. Today, he pursues continuing education whenever possible to keep his skills sharp. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
When he has free time away from the orthodontic office, Dr. Carlotto stays busy with plenty of hobbies. He roots for all of Bostons sports teams, tries to cook just like his Italian grandmother (despite regularly failing), consumes plenty of podcasts and documentaries about history (particularly World War II), and runs to balance out all of the delicious ice cream he eats. He also takes regular trips to Block Island and enjoys quizzing his coworkers about interesting trivia during their team meetings.
Heres a fun fact about Dr. Carlotto: While he was attending Harvard, he got to star as one of the leads of the Second Year Show. This is a satirical play that the dental and medical students put on together every year. His role involved getting to sing a remixed version of Billy Joels Uptown Girl, which was named Beantown Girl.
One of Dr. Alkhourys favorite things about his job is changing peoples lives. He does this by giving them beautiful and confident smiles that he knows theyll love, especially when showing it to friends and family. Since he started practicing orthodontics in 1994, hes developed great pride in the relationships hes formed with all of his patients. Dr. Alkhourys first personal exposure started when he was very young and his older sister needed braces. As she went through each stage of treatment, he was able to see firsthand how her smile transformed for the better in every way. He noticed that she was more talkative, outgoing, and confident as a result of her treatment. This was a life-changing moment for him, and it inspired him to give the same experience and care to others who also found themselves in the same situation as his sister. Today, hes happy about his choice of career.
After first earning his dental degree from Boston University where he also graduated with honors, Dr. Alkhoury completed his residency in advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University. Hes become a well-respected practitioner over the years and has received recognition from the American Academy of Orthodontists for his care and dedication to providing patients exceptional treatment. Simply orthodontics Milford is excellent. Prior to the appointment great communication. Upon arrival the building is new and very clean. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The staff and doctor are extremely pleasant and professional. We felt very comfortable. The information and options were very clear and informative. Worst experience! We had an appointment at 2pm. They sent me a message that it will be 15 minutes delay. I called 1 hour before and they told me that delay will be not longer than 10 minutes. I asked if they sure, because I have other appointment and it's very important , because otherwise I could reschedule appointment. We arrived at time, but instead of 10 minutes waited 1!!! hour, and every 10 minutes during this time they assured me that appointment will be in 2 minutes!! Very disappointed!!!

Great Orthodontist Office. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure you understand the treatment options and how to manage the payments. Costs are reasonable. Dr Carlotto and his team are incredible. I've been a patient for only about five months and the improvement of my teeth and smile has been remarkable! Way beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Simply Orthodontics for anyone considering orthodontic treatment or braces for themselves or their children. Simply Orthodontics provided invisilign for my son and traditional braces for myself, and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Orthodontists. They have quite a few locations to choose from and the entire staff is amazing! Every staff member is welcoming, super-friendly, caring, gentle and knowledgeable. They patiently explain every step along the way. We see Dr. Alkhoury and Dr. Carlotto and they are simply the best!! Update: My son and I are almost done with our treatment and we can't say enough good things about Dr. Alkhoury, Dr. Carlotto and all the staff at Simply Orthodontics!

I was blown away at how friendly everyone I came into contact with was. I feel like it's not typical to experience such genuine kindness so it was a breath of fresh air. The facility seemed to be very clean and just new. I was also offered to receive a video from the doctor explaining the options I will have for my orthodontic adventure instead of visiting again to hear my options. I appreciate this, not only for covid reasons, but so I can replay and mull over my options in my own time instead of potentially being pressured. By the way, the doctor did say that ~90% of the time he can provide options to the patient with the consultation and ~10% of time need to take time to review, maybe consult with the patients dentist, and present options within a week. I happen to fall into the 10%.
