It didnt take long for Dr. Carlotto to realize that the dental field was the ideal combination of his love of science and his ability to connect with people. Once hed graduated from dental school, he decided to specialize in orthodontics because he enjoyed all of the critical thinking and treatment planning that was involved in the field. Every person is unique, and the most important aspect of successful orthodontic treatment is customizing the best plan for each patient from the start!
After completing his undergraduate degree at Tufts University, Dr. Carlotto pursued his DMD at The Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He then received his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from The Ohio State University. Today, he is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and regularly pursues new continuing education opportunities.
When he isnt busy at the orthodontic office, Dr. Carlotto keeps busy with a wide variety of hobbies. He enjoys running to balance out all of the ice cream he eats, rooting for sports teams in Boston, trying to cook as well as his Italian grandmother (despite coming up short), and consuming lots of documentaries and podcasts related to history, particularly ones about World War II. He also regularly visits Block Island and constantly quizzes his coworkers about random trivia at the daily team meetings.
Heres an interesting fact about Dr. Carlotto: While at Harvard, he was one of the leads of the Second Year Show, in which dental and medical students alike perform a satirical play. His role included acting and singing a version of Billy Joels Uptown Girl, which was remixed as Beantown Girl.
Dr. Alkhoury was first introduced to orthodontics when he found out that his 17-year-old sister needed to have braces. He was able to see her smile transform day by day, and as time passed, it really made a difference. Not only was her smile straight once the braces came off, but she became more talkative, social and generally more confident. This was a life-changing moment for Dr. Alkhoury and is what motivated him to pursue a career in orthodontics himself. He couldnt be happier with the career he chose to this day and enjoys helping others achieve the same experience as her sister.
Dr. Alkhourys education began at Boston University, where he earned his dental degree. He graduated with honors and eventually went on to complete a residency in Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at New York University. Over the years, hes become well-respected as a practitioner, especially by the American Academy of Orthodontists. Was referred here initially for my 4-year-old son because he had a crossbite and couldn't close his mouth properly. The ortho told us they couldn't do anything because the tooth was going to fall out soon anyway. I wish I had gotten a second opinion because the tooth in question did not fall out for another 2 years and caused major problems. The office is one big room with no dividers between patients. You see and hear everyone's business. Later, we were referred again to this office (big mistake) to have my son's now underbite corrected, which had to be done while he was still young to avoid major surgery. The two-part paller expander went in one at a time--first the bottom and then the top a few weeks later. Each time, the glued in expanders fell out within a week and had to be glued back in. The Holliston office is hardly ever open, so we would have to go to Milford or Hopkinton to correct the work. After 2 months the top one broke. When I called the office, they insisted that he broke it and were going to drop him from treatment since he could not take care of the appliance. I told them that I was there and watched it fall apart in his mouth, which they insisted was impossible. I'd already paid for a year's worth of treatment in full, so I asked for my money back, and they refused. I told them that I already paid and needed them to finish the job or give me my money back. They told me that they would continue, but only if I spent $400 on new expanders. Nope. I told them they would replace the lemon they sold me And continue treatment or I would be in contact with my lawyer. At that point, they backed down and said they would fix the issue. After a year, my son's bite was fixed, but not after a ton of runaround. Never again.

Staff is great! They always take you at your scheduled time. Updates provided at the end of your childs visit. Appts are easy/flexible to book. The payment plan is reasonable compared to other places which to me is huge when you are paying out of pocket!

Simply Orthodontics is just phenomenal. The staff is super friendly with amazing work ethic. I have yet to be disappointed and have felt very welcomed during every appointment. Not only that, but my teeth look and feel amazing!

My family has had nothing but positive experiences at Simply Orthodontics. Three kids; two had braces and one had Invisalign. Easy to make appointments. The same friendly staff each visit. Very clean, top-notch care. If your child has treatment here, choose the "retainers for life" option.....totally worth it.

My daughter is very shy so having to go into the office by herself during Covid protocols was a big deal for her. The staff in Milford made her feel safe and assured her throughout her appointment. I couldn't speak higher of Dr. Carlotto and the whole team!
