Dr. Reem S. Shafi, CEO, Two Rivers Dental is the epitome of modern dentistry. She received her dental degree in 1998 and is a proud alumna of the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. After her graduation, she relocated to Chicago, IL and opened her first dental practice by 2004. During that year of running her own practice, Dr. Shafi realized she had much more potential and decided to open a second practice. Now, a decade later, Dr. Shafi owns several practices, all of which are located in and around the Chicago area. Her company now employs over 140 employees and 30 dentists.
During the course of her professional career, Dr. Shafi has won numerous awards including her induction into Temple University Fox School of business League for Entrepreneurial Women Hall of Fame for the year 2013.
Dr. Peterson specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and treats a wide variety of patients of all ages. He has been placing dental implants since 1987, has extensive experience in implantology, and has successfully treated many dental implant patients throughout Chicagoland.
Dr. Peterson graduated with a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School. He furthered his training and education through a program focused in Anesthesiology, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Cook County Hospital College of Surgery.
Dr. Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobbies include traveling, tennis, skiing and the outdoors. Dr. Peterson also practices law and teaches at a university.
Dr. Virji is originally from Toronto, Canada, where she found a passion for orthodontics since the age of 13. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Dr. Virji went on to earn her DMD degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, IL in 2017. Dr. Virji then began practicing general dentistry for 1 year in Toronto before returning to Chicago and pursuing orthodontics at UIC Orthodontic Program. Dr. Virjis dedication for her profession led to her winning 3rd Place Nationwide for the 2021 Dr. William R. Proffit Resident Scholar Award while at UIC. While Dr. Virji practices orthodontics full time, she also works as part time faculty at the University of Illinois Chicago Orthodontic Department.
Dr. Virji is passionate about all areas of orthodontics, but shes especially interested in the advanced technologies that orthodontics is moving toward. Focusing on advanced technologies allows Dr. Virji to provide her patients with the best experience and results.

Most caring dental staff I've ever encountered. Extremely professional experience. Dr. Morello goes out of her way to make sure you understand each step of the process and are comfortable the whole way. Each member of their team genuinely cares about their patients, and knowing I will have the best care when I walk in the door makes going to the dentist a whole lot easier. Thank you to all the kind and wonderful staff; Dr. Morello, Stephanie, Paulette, and Christy, you make all the difference!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ahmed's for quite some time! I recently had my six month check up and didn't know Dr. Ahmed had left the practice...very sad! I met Dr. Shaw and she was very pleasant, friendly and understanding!!! I explained that I am a special need's patient...unfortunately, I "GAG" from the start of my procedure till the end. I have always faced a "Fear of the Dentist since a very young age! Well, Dr.Shaw and I have something in common...we are both gaggers as patients! Edward was my hygienist and he did a great job with my cleaning!! Very pleasant and accommodating to me as a special needs dental patient. The girls at the front desks were welcoming with a smile. Thank You To You All. The only regret I have is no one had told me that my previous doctor had left the practice until I asked.

Dr. Bushra and her team are simply amazing! I come from quite the distance but will travel wherever she's available. I've visited her at an Elgin location and today in Carol Stream. I've never been more satisfied with the feeling of my teeth. She makes you feel very comfortable during your dental work, but also before. Dr. Bushra explained everything to my understanding, and I will most likely follow her anywhere she goes. If you guys are looking for a dentist that is going to make you feel comfortable and provide you with knowledge she's definitely your doctor. Thanks Dr. Bushra and staff! See you again soon.

I would give this place 1 star, but it's 2 stars because everyone was nice. Find a dentist you really really trust and stick with them. I came here because I saw a black spot on my tooth (knowing it was a cavity). I go in and the dentist says I have 9 cavities. I trust him because he was really nice and personabale. I agree to do 7 out of those 9 fillings. Couple months later, I go back for the last 2 fillings... There's a new dentist. Nice man, but I didn't feel comfortable with him doing work on my teeth. He said he wasn't going to do the filling because he didn't agree with the previous dentist's findings. I thought it was odd and told him that I have sensitivity on that tooth when I eat sweets (chocolate) and when I have hot/cold things. He said "hm. Only on this side? Just that tooth? Hah well... I don't know what to make of that!" WHAT? You're a dentist... that's a sign that something isn't right. I wanted to get out of the chair that minute, but I was already there and they had already started. He was VERY scattered and unorganized the entire time; didn't know where things were or how to even get the chair to recline back. While he was drilling my tooth, he slipped and the drill hit ANOTHER tooth. Wow. THEN when he finally finished the filling, he was filing it down and it slipped out of his hand AGAIN and this time it hit the inside of my cheek and caused it to cut and bleed. I was very upset when I left because of my experience. I called a dentist I had gone to when I was growing up and he agreed to take a look. Lone behold, the tooth that I said was sensitive was a tooth that had an old filling on it and UNDERNEATH the filling, it was starting to decay. and it needed a root canal. Thank goodness he saw it and took care of it. If he wouldn't have, I would've eventually lost the tooth (which means more money for the dentist). Oh and all those other cavities I had? Incredibly small and absolutely did not have to be worked on.. just maintained with brushing and flossing. If you go here, go get a second opinion before you let them do work on you. A cleaning is one thing. Fillings, root canals or extractions? Don't do it. You know how dentists are infamous for taking advantage of patients because they don't know any better? That's this practice. Absolutely ridiculous. I got 8 fillings that I absolutely did not need. Not happy at all.

I've brought my children here and Dr. Khan, Poulett and Riya were all very knowledgeable, gentle and very welcoming. My youngest child is afraid of going to the dentist and she left happy.

Dr. Bushra, Assistants Paulette and Stephanie, and Front Desk Receptionist Amaya we're all warm , engaging, and very knowledgeable in their specific areas. The staff walked us through each part of the process. I would highly recommend this team. They work well as a team, each one valuing the other to deliver a smile for the patient.

I was disappointed they didn't give me the usual cleaning of my teeth. Just an exam. They said I needed a deep cleaning, which is much more expensive.

I was really hoping to like this place but the technician took more x-rays than needed because her computer wasn't working...The dentist seemed "rushed" and I just didn't get that comfortable feeling whatsoever.

The office was clean ans everyone was super nice from thr front desk to the hygienist to thr doctor. They were great with my chatty 4 year old who's cleaning was completed before mine.

I brought my children in for appointments the front desk staff Amaya and Cassie were so helpful and answered all my insurance questions. The assistants Riya and Poulett were so patient and kind to them and Dr. Khan thoroughly explained everything to my children and myself. I would recommend this office to all my friends and family.

Im not really one to do reviews but my experience with simply dental was so wonderful I needed to share. You know I was nervous going in and I was bringing my kids in as well. The front desk person Cassie was amazing and had us checked in fast. Answered my questions and assured me all would be ok. My daughters and I had Paulette and rihya I believe and they did such an amazing job helping out the dentist throughout the X-ray and treatment procedure. They made my young kids feel at home. The Dentist Dr Kahn had great chairside manner. He explained everything he was doing and made sure I wasn't in any pain. He also explained the next steps of my treatment process. We have been looking for a dental place for years and have had some nightmare experiences. But moving forward Simply Dental will definitely take care of me and my family.

Stay away from this place. Be careful before you sign the agreement. I didn't sign their agreement which said " it is patient responsibility if the insurance won't pay the bill in 75 days," that is ridiculous. The manager told me to reschedule the appointment because I needed to call the insurance and took about 10 minutes. They sent the bill to my insurance without getting any treatment nor services. Do not recommend this place.

Highly recommend, I have a lot of anxiety for dental treatment but after my last visit at simply dental I feel so comfortable really they made me comfortable. Dr. Ahmed is very professional and skilled. I love her work. She explained me everything before procedure so I can feel comfortable. From front to back manager Cassie , front desk Amaya and kunjal, assistant poulett, estephani and Riya all were amazing. It was great dental experience. I highly recommend this place.

The best dental care I have ever experienced! Professional, courteous, and friendly staff made me feel just like family. The front desk staff Amaya and Manager Cassie make you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. Everything was on time and it was an extremely professional office. A fantastic experience with Dr.Patel and both assistants Paulette and Ria! Thank you so much guys! Can't wait to come back for my 6 month cleaning!!
