An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Honestly, I had a pretty awful experience here. I hadn't been to the dentist in over a year due to Covid and a move (prior to that, I had gone every 6 months religiously), and they said I had FOUR cavities after x rays and an exam. I hadn't had a cavity in over 10 years, so you could imagine my surprise when I heard this... I ended up saying yeah no I'll need to get a second opinion before you drill into my teeth, and I'm SO glad I did. The next dentist (at a different place) said I had ONE of the smallest cavities he'd ever seen, and we can fill it the next time I was in 6 months later since it's so tiny. He couldn't find the other three (and years later, I still only had that one cavity... I'm not sure what these people were saying). The new dentist also said the x-ray machine they used was extremely old and outdated, and that the x-rays were very difficult to read because they were such bad quality. So... take from it what you want, but I had a really bad experience here and I can't recommend them to anyone. Also, for what it's worth, it looks like a lot of their 5 star reviews are from bots. So tread carefully. Good luck.

I've been going to this dentist for over 5 years, no other dentist has been as friendly and honest with me as this one has, I can always count on Dr.Waxler and her team to make me feel confident and stress free! From the front desk to everyone else I couldn't ask for a better dentist, I've gotten all my work done here including veneers, I would definitely recommend this dentist over any other!

Dr Waxler just pulled my tooth with Nitro and local, didn't feel a thing and it was a great experience not having to be put under. This is the best dental office. I have been going to them for years!! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new dental office.

My family and I have been coming to this office since we moved here in 2013. Dr Waxler has been very accommodating and very flexible. The office is very clean and friendly. The staff is very understanding with my family situation as well, when my kids are being stubborn or nervous, it's also an added bonus that we can get all of our dental needs taken care at one office, including orthodontics.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Waxler at Simi Valley Dental Group for over 8 years! The office is amazing, the employees are so friendly and kind! Dr. Waxler is extremely knowledgeable and walks you through each step of your dental treatment!
