Dr. Thompson was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. She received her Bachelors degrees in History and Chemistry from the University of Washington in Seattle and her Doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Dr. Thompson has been artistically talented since childhood. Before pursuing dentistry, she worked for 7 years as a professional artist, working with both print and online media. She feels her artistic skills lend her dentistry a high standard of beauty as well as functional excellence.
Dr. Thompson practiced general dentistry in Baltimore for 5 years before purchasing the general dental practice of Jay Feinstein, D.D.S, who practiced in Silver Spring for 40 years before retiring. Dr. Thompsons training in the latest dental techniques and advancements is regularly updated through continuing education programs. She is a member of the ADA, MSDA, AGD and AAWD professional organizations.
Dr. Thompson now lives in Silver Spring, Maryland but still spends time in Baltimore. Dr. Thompson enjoys traveling, and has participated in a dental mission project to an underserved area of the Dominican Republic. During her spare time she loves to draw and read. She is also an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking, bodyboarding, and downhill skiing. Dr. Thompson and her husband enjoy spending time with their cats: George, Pippi and Dorothy.

Bleaching Options for teeth whitening usually include whitening toothpastes, at-home bleaching, and in-office bleaching. Of course effectiveness, safety, and results vary greatly between products, so consult with your dentist if you are considering these choices.
Composite (tooth-colored) fillings Dental fillings are used to fill cavities and repair cracked or broken teeth. Fillings can be done with gold, porcelain, or silver amalgam, but is most commonly done with materials called composite resin fillings that are designed to match the color of your teeth.
Veneers Veneers are thin shells intended to cover the front side of teeth to hide stains, chips, decay, or irregularities. A dental technician uses a model created by a dentist to make a custom shell out of specials materials.

I had to go in for an emergency dental mishap! From the time I called in with my problem through Dr. Thompson taking care of my problem it was a pleasant experience! The whole staff is so kind and caring and professional!

Five stars. Dr. Thompson so cleverly kept my mind off the actual procedure of tooth replacement by describing in methodical detail what she was actually doing--somewhat surreal in retrospect. I'm very pleased with her treatment Her staff is very considerate. Best wishes, John Mason

She's the best dentist that I have been to. She's patient will my questions. And explains everything so I understand. I have a slight memory age related problem. And she doesn't seem to mind repeating things to me.
