Dr. Fedora Katz grew up in Bucharest, Romania. After living in different countries, she discovered the beautiful and welcoming spirit of the Pacific Northwest and settled here with her husband, Danny.
Dr. Katz graduated the Dental School at the University of Medicine Carol Davila in Bucharest, earning her DDS diploma. She then pursued three additional years of orthodontic residency at the same school, obtaining her European Orthodontic Certificate. After practicing orthodontics in a private practice in Southern France, she continued her orthodontic education at the University of Washington where she obtained her Masters degree along with her second orthodontic specialty certificate.
As a UW graduate, she received excellent clinical training for diverse settings such as preventive care, young and adult treatment, complex and inter-disciplinary cases, Invisalign, sleep apnea, digital diagnosis and CBCT interpretation. Dr. Katz has extensive research experience in the field of orthodontics, specifically digital imaging, diagnosis, and orthodontic stability. She received awards, participated in many conferences, presented posters and held public lectures.
Our purpose and our passion at Silver Lake Orthodontics is to give every patient the highest quality orthodontic care in a safe and fun environment. We want all our patients to feel at home and to trust that they will always have a first-class and family-friendly experience.
Svetlana is our financial coordinator. She is happy to help with any questions you may have regarding your finances. Fun fact about her is she has more than 3 degrees and is still striving to get more.
Angelica is one of Dr. Katzs orthodontics assistants.She loves taking part in making someone more confident with their smile. Fun fact about her is she loves long walks with a cup of coffee in her hands.
Mikaela is our treatment coordinator and she works directly with the doctor to help create customized treatment plans for our patients. Fun fact about her is she is a recent mom to her precious baby girl.

By far the best orthodontics or dentist appointment I've ever had. Had braces for years from a different orthodontist, and went to Silver Lake to remove my permanent retainer. They were extremely welcoming, helpful, considerate, gentle and kind. They made every effort to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and well taken care of. Multiple staff members and doctors came to check on me and chat during the appointment, and it was done in less than an hour! Beautiful office and convenient location. Cannot recommend them enough.

Everyone from reception, assistants, coordinator and Doctors were very friendly and accommodating. You can actually feel they were all sincere in welcoming and assisting their clients. I am very fortunate my Dental care team at Hues Dental Group (another exceptional team) referred me to them for Ortho stuff to be done. I will definitely refer friends and family.

We shopped several orthodontist before electing to go with Silverlake. Their team really connects with the kids. They take the time to explain things to patients (and parents), their office is clean, staff are warm and friendly and doctor understands families needs. We are impressed with the way they partner to come up with solutions that are best for the patients. I we are very happy with them.

Dr Katz & her team are amazing! The front desk receptionists, the billing personnel, the orthodontic assistants and the Orthodontist herself are very welcoming, patient, helpful, and responsive to your phone calls and concerns. I was originally getting an Invisalign treatment but I wasn't disciplined enough to do it at home. I decided to switch to braces. Dr Kat and her team helped me with the switch. They explained in details the braces treatment - how long it's going to take, how to take care of it, and to call them if you need rubber band change just in case your band stains or if you have any other issues before your next adjustment appointment, etc. They are friendly, accommodating, and kind! There is a reason why they are rated five stars by their patients. You will immediately feel welcome as you enter. The office is clean and every employee there is very sweet and happy to help. Thank you for doing an excellent job to make sure our experience is pleasant!

Beautiful office. I am very impressed how they welcomed us and made our first visit smooth and easy. Staff is great and everyone was very polite and informative. The office is spotless clean. Their equipment looked very modern. I am so pleased with my experience there. My kids lived it as as they felt relaxed around the doctor and the staff. They loved the free snacks and the nice gift they received.
