Scott Silver, DMD, holds a BA in biological sciences from Rutgers University and is a 1982 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he joined his fathers practice in Haddon Townshop and has been practicing at that location ever since. He is an active member of theInternational Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine(IABDM), theInternational Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology(IAOMT) and theHolistic Dental Association(HDA).
Dr. Scott was raised in Haddon Township and is a 1973 graduate of Haddon Township High School. He and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Melissa and Meredith. In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, as well as playing the trumpet. Scott felt called to practice dentistry following in the footsteps of his father, who enjoyed and thrived at this dental practice for 58 years. Scott feels privileged to have been able to partner with him in practice until his fathers passing in 2005.
Dr. Steinberg graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry and joined the faculty of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery shortly after. While at Columbia, he earned an MS from the Institute of Human Nutrition and became a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow in nutrition research. He began his private practice in West New York in 1989 while continuing to teach graduate and postgraduate dentists, and publish studies on periodontal disease, dental caries and nutrition at the Center for Clinical Research in Dentistry at Columbia University and later in the Division of Oral Biology of the New Jersey Dental School of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
In 2014, Dr. Steinberg becameCEDHcertified in homeopathy. Dr. Steinberg is also highly active in the environmental movement, concerned that the level of illness we see today is related to deterioration of our food supply and the impacts of climate change. He has served on the steering committee for350NJand as chair of the social action committee of theEthical Culture Society of Bergen County.

My experience with this dental practice was extremely unprofessional. I called to inquire about a cleaning and I was told by Rochelle, the receptionist that she would not answer any questions over the phone and rudely told me to refer to their website for answers. Based on that very brief and unhelpful dialogue, this is not a dental office that I would feel comfortable visiting.

Dr. Silver is the best dentist I've had! I've had extensive orthodontic work, along with years of follow-up dental care with other dentists, and he is by far the most knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate dentists among them all. He's also got a great sense of humor! When it was time to start taking my own children to the dentist, he and his staff made the experience feel safe and kind for my kids. Highly recommend!

Giving 5 stars so my comments don't hurt your ratings, however you need to consider better parking for your staff and customers; and staff needs to be mindful of where they park in the community as they are in the office all day whereas customers come and go - many residents have to park on the street for many good reasons and although we don't own the street, and we understand that... there is a level of courtesy that some must consider.

Dr. Silver is the best dentist I've had! So there are quite a few choices for biological dentists in New Jersey. I live in the South part of Jersey and would have had to travel far for most of them. I'm glad I chose the Silver Dental Group, and for more than just the fact that they were only an hour away. The staff was AMAZING. Let me just say that I'm having a lot of health problems. So my nerves aren't exactly of the calmest degree. I had a ton of questions, and doubts. The staff was reassuring and were happy to answer all my questions. They were very understanding and beyond considerate of my feelings, making sure after each step that I was doing well. And during my visit, they even asked me to choose the music; I was quite surprised because I never had a doctor's office offer for me to choose the music for my comfort. They followed all procedures of IAOMT to the dot. Dr. Scott Silver was awesome. He likes to joke lot. Not that he doesn't take his work seriously. He performed an IAOMT amalgam removal, and pulled the amalgam out all in one piece. Such a relief! He used a dental dam, supplied oxygen directly to my nose and used suction in my mouth to suck in any extra mercury fumes. And all the staff wore oxygen masks as well. Dr. Silver offered me many options of replacement. I ended up going for the cheapest one of the four options he gave me. Worth every penny though. And financing was easy. They offered CareCredit there (most doctors do not), however I already had it before my visit. And no interest for 6 months; perfect! My normal dental insurance was able to cover about half of the procedure and the charge for removal was more than fair. Will definitely be going back, and would suggest to anyone to see the Silver Dental Group, whether it be for biological procedures or even normal dentistry!

Over the next 4 years I went through a few dentists who, although they were nice, did not listen to what I knew about my mouth and teeth. Dr. Scott Silver is WONDERFUL!!! He LISTENED to me! He has a holistic view on teeth and how to keep them healthy, he's not a root canal happy dentist (root canals are one of the worst things you can do to your teeth) and he's gentle and thorough! My family and I drive over an hour to see him and would recommend him to anyone who wants to keep their own teeth in tip top shape!
