Our office is the original and longest standing pediatric dental office in the city of Santa Clara. Our dentists have completed university programs in and are certified for the specialty of dentistry and orthodontics for children and adults.

Dr. Elizabeth Ng was born and raised in the Peninsula Bay Area. She attendedUCLA and graduated with honors in Bioengineering. She was an undergraduate researcher in the department and her senior Capstone team diagnostic device placed first in the annual Bioengineering symposium. In addition to academics, Dr. Elizabeth enjoyed mentoring in a student-adoptee organization on campus-China Care Bruins.

After college, Dr. Elizabeth attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she was President of the Student Chapter of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and co-founder of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) chapter. In her time there, she conducted research on diversity in dentistry, participated in diversity pipeline programs, and the ADEA fellowship program.

Following dental school, Dr. Elizabeth was delighted to return to California to complete a dual pediatric dental residency and master's program at UCSF. This three year program included extensive training in trauma management, full-mouth rehabilitation under general anesthesia, comprehensive treatment planning with oral conscious sedation, and providing care in a variety of private and community based clinics. Dr. Elizabeth also traveled to Washington, D.C. and Sacramento to lobby on behalf of pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Elizabeth's love of volunteering and being an engaged dental provider has led her all over the world, from community clinics in Massachusetts, to the Navajo nation in Arizona, and the remote Panajachel, Guatemala. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Elizabeth's passions include anything dog related, travel, watercolor, calligraphy, and sustainability issues as it pertains to food.

Dr. Elizabeth is a proud and active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the UCSF Pediatric Dentistry Alumni Association. She is fluent in Mandarin and Spanish.

Dr. Janice Hwang is native to the Bay Area. She spent her early childhood and teenage years as a cellist, competing in competitions all over the Bay Area. While she loved her experience as a classical musician, she eventually decided to use the dexterity that she developed for another art -formdentistry.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, she began her dental education at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While at UCSF, Dr. Janice served in numerous dental organizations and outreach programs. She received several awards for her research in craniofacial development and was also awarded the Charles Craig Memorial Scholarship award in recognition of her outstanding scholarship and ethical character by the local dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF, Dr. Janice worked as a general dentist for 3 years in Santa Clara county. During her years in private practice, Dr. Janice discovered her passion for creating beautiful smilesanddecided to return to schoolto complete her training in orthodontics atUCSF's Orthodontic Residency Program,where she completed her orthodontictraining with aMaster of Science in Oral and CraniofacialBiology. She received extensive training in traditionalbraces, Invisalign, removable appliances, surgery, and obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Janice is very passionate about serving her community. During her time as a dental student, she traveled to Honduras for three consecutive years to lead dental students and dentists to provide dental treatment to over 400 residents. Her ultimate goal is to inspire others to realize their potential to serve people in any circumstance.

During her free time, Dr. Janice loves spending time with her husband, family, and dog. She is an avid fan of boba and loves to learn how to make different kinds of foods and desserts. She also enjoys hiking, traveling and sharing her experiences through photography.

Dr. Nancy Liis aBoard-CertifiedDiplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Nancywas born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a minor in psychology from the University of California, San Diego. During her time there, she was an active member of the Pre-Dental Society and volunteered at the Student-Run Free Clinics.

Before starting dental school at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), she traveled to Timor-Leste for a humanitarian mission trip aboard the U.S.S. Mercy Naval Hospital Ship and helped Navy dentists provide dental care to the undeserved.

Dr. Nancyreceived her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California, San Francisco(UCSF),where she was involved in several organizations and held various positions in Children's Health Hut, Student Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Developmental Disabilities in Pediatric Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.

Her passion and dedication to helping children has led her to continue her education at UCSF's Pediatric Dental Residency Program, where she completed her pediatric dentistry training with a Master of Science in Oral and CraniofacialBiology.

She was awarded the Excellence in Dental Care of the Pediatric Disabled Patient upon graduation. During residency, Nancy volunteered abroad and provided dental care for children in rural parts of Guatemala. She plans to continue to volunteer her services to undeservedcommunities, abroad and domestic.

Dr. Nancys practice philosophy involves providing compassionate, quality care unique to each child in a fun and welcoming environment. During her free time, she loves to explore the Bay Area and try newrestaurants. She also enjoys cooking, hiking and travelling.

Dr. Nancy is a proud and active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry,American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and Santa Clara County Dental Society.
