Dr. Stanworth grew up in Utah. He received his bachelors degree in biochemistry from BYU-Hawaii where he met his wife, a native Houstonian. While in college he enjoyed sculpting, ceramics, and the medical sciences which led him into a field that combined them: dentistry. He obediently followed his wife back to Texas and earned his DDS from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.
Dr. Stanworth is focused on family dentistry and cosmetic dental treatments, and has had extensive postgraduate training in cosmetics and implants. He actively seeks continuing education opportunities to provide patients with quality, state-of-the-art treatment. Dr. Stanworth has been married for 12 years, currently lives in The Woodlands, and has four children. He enjoys mountain biking, surfing, snow skiing, hiking, going to church, and most of all, playing with his kids.
Dr. Gary Gardner has been creating beautiful smiles for nearly 25 years. His wealth of knowledge comes from his years of experience in the military where he practiced general dentistry and orthodontics and later trained others for careers within the orthodontic profession. Dr. Gardner earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He accepted a commission in the US Army Dental Corps after graduation, attending an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program before serving in Germany as the commander of several remote Army dental clinics.
Dr. Gardner was then accepted to Orthodontic specialty training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio. After his residency, he served as Chief of Orthodontics at Ft. Campbell, KY and Director of the Orthodontic section at an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program. He practiced and taught there for several years before becoming Director of Training and Clinical Orthodontics at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program at the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School in San Antonio. During his 21 years of Army service, he helped train numerous orthodontists, all of which he proudly calls colleagues.
Dr. Gardner is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Education Association and the AAO Society of Orthodontic Educators. He has authored/co-authored articles published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Angle Orthodontist. In his free time, he enjoys boating, fishing and traveling with his wife and three children.
