Dr. Thiel knew early on that he had a passion for health care and helping others. He remembers doing a journal in middle school and writing his high school freshman career paper on dentistry. He set his sights on pursuing his dream and attended The Ohio State University, where he completed his undergraduate bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
While at Ohio State, he had the privilege to be a member of The Ohio State University Marching Band, better known as TBDBITL. Dr. Thiel played the quad toms and had the honor to be a part of 4 bowl games as well as marching in the prestigious Rose Bowl parade and the Presidential inauguration parade in Washington D.C.
Dr. Thiel has been practicing dentistry in the central Ohio area for the last 14 years. He believes in treating patients as if they are family members and is always striving to improve himself and the care he gives to patients. He is a constant student, committed to continuing education above and beyond the standard requirements, and he is respected for his commitment to excellence. Dr. Thiel is also well known for being on the cutting edge of his field, and he looks forward to continuing to incorporate the latest technology and advances to the practice. Dr. Thiel is married to his wonderful wife Molly, a speech therapist, and they have two children Adelynn and Jacob.
Maintaining a clean and sterile environment is a process we take very seriously at Signature Dental. We understand that patients to our office may be curious as to how we tackle the issue of sterilization in the current environment we are living in.
The health and safety of our patients and community push us to ensure that our tools, equipment, and surfaces are disinfected per the guidelines set out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Yes, we closely follow the steps created by the CDC which were developed from their intense scientific studies and resulting discoveries. They refer to the best practices for the sterilization of tools used during patient care.
For semi-critical dental instruments that do not penetrate bone or soft tissue, but that may encounter these parts, cleansing and high-level hospital-grade disinfecting each tool occurs between each use. Semi-critical tools may include air/water syringes and amalgam condensers.
Contact surfaces that are considered non-critical must be covered to protect their integrity or disinfected between patients with medium- or low-level hospital-grade disinfectants. Uncovered non-critical contact surfaces may include light switches, tabletops, and countertops.
Non-critical contact surfaces that are barrier protected but which frequently meet gloved hands and may be contaminated by bodily fluids must be changed out routinely between each patient. Covered non-critical surfaces may include dental chairs. The surfaces beneath the covering can be disinfected at the end of the day.
Our dental practitioners use PPE, personal protective equipment, like gloves and face shields, to prevent the spread of germs. These are disposed of after each use. Our dental practitioners wash their hands with disinfectant hand soap thoroughly and routinely.
Chemical indicators: to be used with every instrument load to measure proper sterilization environment, indicated by a change of color. If a color change does not occur, resterilize the load. Chemical does not replace biological indicators. Chemical indicators are sterilizer specific, including indicator tapes, and cannot be used with other equipment.

Have been going here for years, and while I absolutely hate getting any work done, I had to get two teeth worked on this morning and Jeremy was excellent as usual. I have been a longtime patient in Dr. Thiel's practice and have always appreciated his staff's approach toward patient care and customer service. They are friendly, responsive, and consummate professionals. I recently fractured a tooth and needed to schedule an emergency appointment. They were able to see me much sooner than I anticipated. Using their relatively new laser equipment, Dr. Thiel and Diane talked me through the procedure and helped me understand exactly what to expect. It was a surprisingly comfortable and pain-free experience that did not even require anesthesia. Dr. Thiel was meticulous and thorough, so attentive to detail. I was able to return to work immediately afterward and resume all normal activity. Many thanks to Dr. Thiel and all his staff for their quick and attentive response to my dental care!

Dr. Theil and Diane did a wonderful job during my last procedure. I was able to experience the new Laser Dental procedure that took the place of drilling to fill a cavity. It was quick and painless! Very neat! I had 3 fillings done with no anesthesia in less than 2 hours! Amazing, I won't be opting for drilling and anesthesia any more! Laser dental is the best!

I had my first visit here yesterday and WOW was the service exceptional! I was impressed not only by the overwhelming positive environment, but more so in how thorough the cleaning I got was. My mouth has never felt fresher. The attention to detail on my gum health and overall dental health was amazing. I felt cared for, not rushed, and treated like a patient needing quality service versus just another appointment for the day. It was also nice to have all the activities explained to me so that I understood what was going into my chart and why so I knew more about my dental health than the usual pressure from any other dentist who just tells you to floss more and buy an electric toothbrush.

Moved here this year and just saw my new dentist this week. Dr. Thiel and the team made me feel both safe and comfortable. They had my old dental records, did an exam and proceeded to do a neeeded filling. I really liked two things - the team mentioned what was about to happen next so there were never eny surprises. Also, Dr. Theil let me review the before and after work on a large TV that I could see from my chair. Also, I enrolled in KLEER, a good financial alternative for people with healthy teeth who wonder why pay hundreds in premiums they never really use outside of two cleanings a year. Overall, It was a great experience, and they have another life-long customer.

I find Dr. Thiel to be very professional and knowledgeable, very thorough and well versed on the latest dental techniques. Like his staff, he is friendly and genuinely interested in his patients. I never feel rushed. He stacks up beautifully against my all time favorite dentist (my dad).

Going to the dentist is something that I have historically dreaded and I would typically put off visits until I had an issue that required attention. I started seeing Dr. Thiel this year and began the process of straightening my teeth with Invisalign. I have worked as a RN with older adults for over 10 years and it has taught me that taking care of my teeth needs to be a priority because I would like to have all of them left when I am older! Dr. Thiel is someone I completely trust to make this happen. One visit is all that it takes to see that his attention to detail, the pride in his work and the care for his patients - is really above and beyond. The office staff and hygienist are always warm and welcoming which makes it even better. Highly, highly recommend.

Can't say enough great things about this practice! The doctor spent the time that was required during the procedure, calling multiple audibles and never stopping until everything was corrected to perfection. Any other office would have quit to save time in order to get to the next patient, but not Dr. Thiel. It's evident the patient's outcomes are always in the best interest - and trust me (as a medical provider) that's hard to come by. Thanks for everything you guys do!

Signature Dental has done my dental care since Dr. Thiel took over the practice from Dr. Everhart, who had been my dentist for several years. Both practices have been terrific. The staff is very professional and equally as friendly!! They explain everything that they are doing for my care and then do it carefully and painlessly. I honestly like going to the dentist because I go here.
