Dr. Shakeel is a graduate of the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry. In addition to years of successful General Dentistry Practice, he received advanced training in Implant dentistry. He has been awarded Fellowship and Diplomate in Oral Implantology by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2007. He is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society, American Dental Association and ICOI.

Dr. Julie Haddix was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Biology from The University of Detroit Mercy. After graduation, she moved to Downers Grove, IL where she graduated from Midwestern Universitys dental school. She maintains professional memberships with Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and The American Dental Society.
Her passion for traveling and dentistry merged as she has gone on dental mission trips to provide dental care to underserved communities in The Dominican Republic and Tonga. Dr. Haddix hopes to continue to give back to different communities around the world throughout her career.

Everything went as planned. Everytime on time! The hygienist Cara was very sweet and did an excellent job. Didn't even feel I was getting my dental work. Front staff was also very professional and I was done with everything in 30 min. Dr. Shakeel has a great team who really cares about the punctuality and always provide a great service

I went here for the first time to get fillings done. I had never had cavities before or needed fillings done, so of course I was scared. This team however, put every worry I ever had at ease and reassured me that it was nothing to be scared of. Above that they comforted me in knowing that depression is hard and can impact my teeth, they'll give me some congratulations for small victories each time. I really recommend this place. Judgment free, very friendly, and always puts your comfort first.

No one likes going to the dentist. But if you have to, definitely go see Dr. Shakeel. I have a serious nerve condition and have been on meds for 15 years now (practically 15-20 pills a day). The meds have affected my mouth and teeth; plus, I have anxiety when work needs to be done on the side of my face with the nerve illness. He is so kind, gentle and compassionate. He's also very friendly and funny. I've needed so much work done. If I were to fix all my issues, it would cost me $30k or more. I don't know who can afford that (I've been quoted the same or more by 5 different dentists). So my only option is to do one tooth at a time. When a tooth hurts, I go to see him. He thoroughly explains all my options and helps me decide on the best one for the amount of money I can spend at the time. He understands that most people like me cannot afford all that money at once, so he does whatever he can to preserve my teeth for as long as possible. Right before I met him, a dentist told me that my bottom farthest molar needed a root canal and crown. Shortly after, I met Dr. Shakeel. He said I only needed a filling. I didn't tell him what the other dentist said until after he diagnosed the tooth. This was my first meeting with him (and this wasn't the only tooth I had issues with). This was a sign that he's truly honest and isn't trying to make as much money as he can by fooling his patients. I had a nice dentist before him; "nice" until my issues started getting worse. I even got her 7 new patients, all friends & relatives. She not only said that my husband should take money out of his 401k to get all the work done "if he truly cared about me and my health", she even sternly said it to my husband when he went for his cleaning. That's when I looked for another dentist and tried 2 or 3 others. Luckily, I found Dr. Shakeel. I met him one week before New Years. I needed both of my top furthest molars removed (not the one that only needed a filling). I told him that my dentist couldn't (or wouldn't) find me someone to remove them before the end of the year, yet she's the one who said I needed it done and knew in early November. I understand that dentists are swamped in November & December, but she was just hooked onto me doing the $30k work all at once and immediately. When I called his office & explained my situation (while crying for real), they not only squeezed me in asap, but Dr Shakeel called another dentist, in front of me, and got me in to see her on NYE (back then, it would have cost me nothing since I hit my deductible and my out of pocket max; now my insurance covers only $1500 max for the year, which is literally one root canal and crown). I realized that if he could do this for a "stranger", then he'd be even better if I was a regular patient if his. I also got all 7 relatives to jump ship and see him too. If you need dental work done or just your regular cleaning, I recommend everyone to go here. He's helped my in-laws who don't have dental insurance, just medical. And his prices are far more than "fair". The cherry on top: His staff is great. Whether it's the receptionist, hygienist or his dental assistants, they're ALL so nice to me (and other patients). Very helpful, compassionate and accommodating.

Unlike most of the testimonials for Signature Dental and Dr. Shakeel, I am not a patient. I own one of the dental laboratories they use to fabricate the appliances a patient might receive. I have to honestly say that Dr. Shakeel is a very good dentist. His impressions are clear and accurate. The preps and margins are as clean and clear as any of my other clients and better than some. He is my only client that places his implants himself. Doing as the restorable Dr. gives him the knowledge to place the implants in a very good position making my job easier. I wish all of my Dr.s were as good as he and his entire staff.

Best dentist ever! I found Doctor Shakeel on Google, many great reviews that caught my attention because they sounded different, very sincere. I am so happy that I took a chance on him. He just finished my first set of implants and I couldn't be happier. Doctor Shakeel worked with me to make sure that the plan fit my budget, including flexible payment options, he explained every step in the process and gave me options. Everyone in that office is super nice and friendly, they make you feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. My drive to their office is over an hour but totally worth it. Overall a very professional environment, so much better than many other dentists I have visited before making a decision. Can't wait to start my next set of implants. Very highly recommend Signature Dental Group and Doctor Shakeel!

Miracle worker. This doctor found the problem immediately. I had a root canal done a few months ago and I've been in pain for months. Several rounds of antibiotics I decided I had to go somewhere else after several places without anyone explaining what's wrong he opened my tooth up and found the root canal wasn't done properly. I've been saying I could feel the tooth the entire time finally someone listened. It's a miracle. Thank you. Thank you for listening. Thank you for helping me.

Made an appointment for a cleaning and check up. Dr. doesn't work on Friday's, which no one cared to inform me. When I asked if he'd be reviewing my X-rays & get back to me, I was told "he probably will." Terrible service.

I love this practice! My significant other did nothing without research. He found Dr. Shakeel and I am so thankful he did! From the ladies at the front desk, to Doctors assistants, the lady that cleaned my teeth, they are all wonderful. Patient and kind while I was a nervous wreck. And the leader of this group, Dr. Shakeel, is a star. Already starting to plan my visits for my upper teeth. If you are looking for a dentist the research has already been done! Happy to have these people helping me through this process.

Stacy ,Julie, and Dr Shakeel are amazing. I have been going to them for 20 years. Stacy is the only one that I let clean my teeth. She has a vibrant smile which matches her warm and friendly personality. Julie is warm and comforting. She helps you stay calm if you are getting anxious. She is genuine to the core. Dr. Shakeel is warm and kind. He does outstanding work. He keeps my smile looking great. You are in wonderful hands with all three of them. This was my first visit here and I'm glad I picked this dentist to come to. The staff here is wonderful and very comforting.
