Dr Shah is gentle honest caring and friendly. Her staff accommodates my needs and busy schedule. I had to reschedule over 5 times and they're always courteous and professional. Been here for years. They never over book and doesn't keep patients waiting, unlike other dental offices keep patients in waiting room for over 30 minutes. Had two crown refill today. In and out less than 45 minutes with very little pain and numbness.

Visited Sierra dental today for an x-ray and cleaning. It was my first visit with Dr. Darshini Shah so I was bit skeptical at first. However, I was very happy after the visit. Dr. Shah is very knowledgeable. She patiently answered all of my questions. Both Dr Shah and her assistant were extremely diligent and polite during the entire cleaning process. Trust me, I know when a hygienist does a sloppy work, and your dentist just try to hurry up your visit. Entire staff was very friendly. I would definitely visit again.

I am glad I was referred to Dr.Shah (approximately 3 yrs ago). It's kind of a long story as to why. Due to a medical+dental error by a different doctor, I have Trigeminal Neuralgia (a disorder of the 5th cranial nerve). And had surgeries for it at Stanford. After my surgeries, due to my TN condition. I was afraid I would have to drive all the way to Stanford (live in San Jose) for regular dental issues/cleaning appointments. But then I was referred to Dr.Shah. Dr.Shah understands my nerve condition. Understands gum sensitivity (prescribes a prescription mouthwash when needed). Is soo thorough and patient with my dental cleanings. Is super honest with her recommendations for treatment options. And her assistants. Like for example the dental Hygienist, Maria. Are nice and friendly.

Unlike most dentists, Dr. Shah sees beyond the teeth/gum into the person and proposes treatment plan based on patient's age, lifestyle, pain tolerance and medical history. Refreshing to see her adopt a prudent, preventive, patient-centric approach than the typical "one size fits all" mode. Her office/lobby is modest but she has a big heart offering compassionate affordable dental care for middle class patients.

This review is very important to all viewers. As of today 12/27/19 im updating my review. Dr. Darshini Shah and her staff had the nerve to call my sister who is a patient at Sierra Dental for 20 years, and say no one of my family memeber is allowed to be seen at the clinic because of my review on my last dental visit. I will be calling the BBB, State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Denatl Board. This Staff is no professional. My original review was that they do not respect appointments. I have an appointment and arrived on time. they double booked and and it was 20 minutes pass my appt, yet a lady walks in and they take her in. I asked why did she go in, front desk and the doctor said because her work was something fast. Yet i wait 10 more minutes and i dont get called. i asked to tald with DR. Darshini and all she said if you dont like it sweetie you can leave. If you are a true client you know the first Dentist. He was very nice and professional. That every one loved him.

Just a horrible dentist and very greedy, unethical. She only wants money and for unknown charges, codes, etc. I contacted my insurance company to verify the charges, and my insurance company told me that this dentist is charging fraudulently. Very dishonest and not trustworthy at all. Pls take caution before going here. Good luck.

I had not been to a dental office in a while, I went to Sierra Family Dental for a cleaning and fillings. I was very happy with my experience, Dr.shah is very nice and takes the time to make sure you are doing okay during your treatment. I will definitely be going back.
