Cosmetic dentistry has become very popular in the last several years, not only due to the many advances in cosmetic dental procedures and materials available today, but also because patients are becoming more and more focused on improving their overall health. This includes dental prevention and having a healthier, whiter, more radiant smile.
There are many cosmetic dental procedures available to improve your teeth and enhance your smile. Depending on your particular needs, cosmetic dental treatments can change your smile dramatically, from restoring a single tooth to having a full mouth make-over. Teeth Whitening:Bleaching lightens teeth that have been stained or discolored by age, food, drink, and smoking. Teeth darkened as a result of injury or taking certain medications can also be bleached, but the effectiveness depends on the degree of staining present.
Composite (tooth-colored) Fillings:Also known as bonding, composite fillings are now widely used instead of amalgam (silver) fillings to repair teeth with cavities, and also to replace old defective fillings. Tooth-colored fillings are also used to repair chipped, broken, or discolored teeth. This type of filling is also very useful to fill in gaps and to protect sensitive, exposed root surfaces caused by gum recession.
Porcelain Veneers:Veneers are thin custom-made, tooth-colored shells that are bonded onto the fronts of teeth to create a beautiful individual smile. They can help restore or camouflage damaged, discolored, poorly shaped, or misaligned teeth. Unlike crowns, veneers require minimal tooth structure to be removed from the surface of the tooth.
Porcelain Crowns (caps):A crown is a tooth-colored, custom-made covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. Crowns protect and strengthen teeth that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations. They are ideal for teeth that have large, fractured or broken fillings and also for those that are badly decayed.
Dental Implants:Dental implants are artificial roots that are surgically placed into the jaw to replace one or more missing teeth. Porcelain crowns, bridges, and dentures can be made specifically to fit and attach to implants, giving a patient a strong, stable, and durable solution to removable dental appliances.
Orthodontics:Less visible and more effective brackets and wires are making straightening teeth with orthodontics much more appealing to adult patients. Also, in some cases, teeth may be straightened with custom-made, clear, removable aligners that require no braces.

I had a really great experience at Sierra Dental! They cleaned my teeth really well and took a lot of X-rays and photos of my teeth - way more than at any other dentist I have visited. Everyone was very friendly! I would recommend.

This was my first visit to Sierra. Going to the dentist has always been an anxiety trigger but from the second I entered the office , I was treated with kindness and respect by every person with whom I had the privilege of interacting. Upon checking in , I was seen right on time. My cleaning was performed by Lauren and she was the epitome of professionalism. X rays and pictures of my teeth were presented on a TV in front of me and she was able to point out and explain everything that was going on. The cleaning itself was as smooth and painless as could be. After cleaning , I met Dr. Owens. He was incredibly kind and professional. Everything was explained to me with pristine clarity and he made several recommendations about dental work I should consider. Before leaving , I met with the staff member who checked me in initially. I didn't catch her name but I wish I knew it so I could acknowledge how professional and communicative she was with me. I was given a print out with all of the costs associated with the work Dr. Owens recommended , with a breakdown of what was covered by my insurance and what I'd have to pay out of pocket so that I am empowered to make informed decisions regarding what I'm able to do financially. Throughout my life , I have typically dreaded going to the dentist but this might very well have been the best experience I've ever had. Can't recommend enough.

TL; DR - BEST DENTIST EXPERIENCE EVER! Your typical trip to the dentist is filled anxiety and dread for the mundane and potentially painful experience that awaits. Rest assured, this IS NOT what is in store for you at Sierra. Quite the opposite in fact! Upon entering their modern and oh-so-vibey office, one might call it "Ortho-Chic", any worries you might have had are washed away by the sounds of surprisingly tasteful and trendy house music. Instead of being "welcomed" by a secretary who clearly hates their life and spends every working minute recapping the life choices that landed them in the chair that they now sit, you are greeted by a friendly Sierra Team member who feels like you're meeting a new best friend at a bar. Having been accustomed to needing to fill out an ACT test amount of paperwork before being seen, you appreciate the brevity of their paperwork. As you swiftly complete it, you feel reaffirmed that you're not in your standard dentist's office. You are seen immediately by a technician who, rather than treating you like cattle that needs to be hosed down, takes their time as they carefully examine and clean every nook and cranny of that special mouth of yours. The hit TV sitcom "New Girl" is play, which washes away any lingering tension. You might only be distracted by marveling at their high-tech operation (rather than the medieval torture chambers you been in in times passed). If nerves do persists, they call in their office support dog Elvis, a sweet Chihuahua Dotson (spell check) who rests upon your lap as your cleaning and check up concludes. Then you hear the words would strike fear into the heart of Colorado's manliest man, "you need some more work". A cold sweat falls over you as you're thrust back to orthodontic nightmares of yesteryear hearing about the procedures that you might need. Was this all a rouse? A mere front to suck dry my hard earned savings (which is rare thing for millennials these days)? You see an overview of the procedure and all your concerns are quelled as you see something that surprises you - FAIR AND AFFORDABLE PRICES - even without insurance! Feeling #blessed, you proceed with the recommended work, obviously with Elvis still by your side. With your work completed and bill paid, you leave with a little pep in your step knowing that you just had your first truly wonderful dentist experience. It's a strange feeling, but you look forward to you next visit to Sierra!

I have been going to Sierra Dental for the past 3 1/2 years and I will not go anywhere else for my oral hygiene needs. I had an amazing experience with invisalign and always have a pleasant experience with cleanings and fillings. I recently moved to California but I continue to get services by Sierra in Colorado when I visit because I refuse to go anywhere else if I don't have to. The staff is super friendly, extremely responsive, and always finds the best solution for you. I Highly recommend Sierra Dental.

I had been a long time customer of a dental chain and finally had it up to my ears, in bad customer service and poor dental care. I decided to try out Sierra and from the first phone call so impressed with the care and professionalism of the Sierra team! They were able to work with me and accommodate a same day appointment for a cleaning which after having called 10 other places was a huge plus. The hygienist (Crystal) and Dentist (Dr. Owens) were so friendly and caring in the service they provided. What I also found really different, in a great way, was the vibe and ambiance of this place! It does not feel like your typical dentist office, it is very modern and I loved that they had really great music going and decent treats while you wait. I'm excited to say I have found a new dentist and I'm not settling, I actually really love the place!

The people at Sierra Dental along with their work is outstanding. They are great with checking your insurance. They are consistent with reminding you about appointments. The work on your teeth is through. I found my Denver dentist.

Sierra Dental is amazing! I've seen them twice now -- once for an Invisalign transfer-of-care consultation, once for a general visit. Both times they were super meticulous in the treatment, and in helping me with residual problems from my current Invisalign (from a different ortho). I can't recommend them enough -- they'll make you feel welcome, comfortable, and heard as a patient.

Terrific establishment! I was looking for a local dentist and was referred to Sierra. New patient set-up was fast and easy, and I was able to schedule both a cleaning and some minor follow-up dental work the same day! Very friendly staff, great location, very nice facility...I've found my dentist for the duration!

After moving to Denver, I needed to find a transfer location to continue my orthodontist work. I was lucky I selected this location and have Dr. Birg help me get closer to my dream smile. Due to certain events, I needed to move back to TX. I informed the staff and while I still needed more time with my braces, the ortho team helped me get my braces off before I moved on June 1. I always felt I had a say in my braces journey and given suggestions to speed up my timeline. Every time I came, they always gave welcoming vibes, never feeling out of place and a peace of mind that they were doing their best to ensure I had a great smile by the end. Lots of kudos to Dr. Jeff Birg and his team, all of you were wonderful and I always was happy when I remembered I had an appointment coming up soon to make the drive and see all the friendly faces. If anyone is looking to find a new dentist, I highly suggest here. Also, congrats to Dr. Birg for his new position and wish him well. Thank you for everything!
