Dr. Alexander J. Sierk joined Sierk Orthodontics in 2007. Alex graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He was the recipient of the Kramer Award as a dental school undergraduate and is a member of Ormicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor fraternity. He also received his master of science degree in orthodontics from the University of Iowa.
As a graduating senior at Princeton University, Alex received the Pyne Prize, Princeton's highest academic and leadership honor. He was an All-American placekicker, the Burger King Division 1-AA Scholar Athlete of the Year, and the recipient of a National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame post-graduate scholarship.
Dr. Alex Sierk is currently the President-Elect of the Davenport District Dental Society and has served as president of the Scott County Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Iowa Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Association.
Alex's wife, Sara, is a University of Iowa graduate in elementary education. They reside in Bettendorf with their daughters Caroline, Maddie, and Natalie. Dr. Sierk lives for spending time with his girls.
Alex is an avid fan of movies and pop culture, and has a particular interest in the decade of the 1980's. One of his true passions is sharing the video games, movies and memorabilia of the 80's with today's generation. The lower level of Sierk Orthodontics is home to Sierk Arcade. Dr. Sierk hosts monthly birthday parties for all of our guests at Sierk Arcade. He also donates the use of Sierk Arcade for local youth and school charities.
Dr. Sierk believes in progress, and that with collaboration and hard work, we can make the world a better place. Sierk Orthodontics works with local youth organizations and charities to help improve the lives of children in our community.
Dr. Donald L. Sierk graduated from the University of Iowa with a doctor of dental surgery degree. During his senior year, he received the Pediatric Dentistry Award and was the College of Dentistry Hancher-Finkbine Award nominee. He is a member of Ormicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor fraternity. He served two years as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy. Returning to the University of Iowa, he received his master of science degree in orthodontics.
Don is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has served as president of the Iowa Society of Orthodontists, the Davenport District Dental Society, and the Scott County Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Iowa Dental Association.
Don's wife, Pat, has degrees in elementary education and library science. Alex and his other sons have followed Don into the dental profession; Chris is an orthodontist in Oregon, and Jon is a pediatric dentist in Colorado. Don is a sports enthusiast and enjoys reading and traveling.
Our staff is a strong team of compassionate and professionally-trained individuals who are committed to achieving excellent results for our guests. You will find them caring and knowledgeable. They participate in continuing education courses to stay current on the latest techniques and procedures.

I've got two kids who've been either treated or examined by Dr. Sierk and his staff. I have no other prior connection to Dr. Sierk or his staff prior to the care we've received. Customer service is top notch, everyone loves Danielle and she is absolutely perfect for her position (she could make millions teaching administrators how to greet patients/customers)! As soon as you walk in, the decor is an inviting pre-teen - teen space that's also comfortable for parents (even free Starbucks coffee); it's amazing! The rest of the staff are wonderful people, and very skillful while also being efficient. We've never had an issue with any of the staff, they are on task and very courteous. Dr. Sierk himself, a great mix of professionalism while also displaying a genuine care for all of his patients. My daughter is next in line for braces but needs some extra work that could be fixed by a few different solutions. He guided us to pursue the process for her treatment that was less in his pocket, but also explained why it would be best for her too. Lastly, my orthodontist retired and he was gracious enough to correct a retainer issue I had free of charge. His office, his staff, his equipment, all of that time and overhead, free of charge. This is the best orthodontics office in the Quad Cities!

Outstanding! Dr. Alexander is amazing, as is Danielle in scheduling! Our daughter had quite a bit of trauma to her teeth and Dr. Alexander went the extra mile. He made an effort to see her on a weekend, noticed when things didn't look right, made phone calls to her dentist and a wonderful endotonist. He could have waited, but he knew it was something that needed to be tackled right away, so as not to affect her later in life. We greatly appreciate his attention to detail and being proactive. Also, Danielle is SO sweet and her calming nature when greeting and scheduling makes you feel appreciated and well taken care of as a patient. Thank you to Dr. Alexander and his entire team!

Very happy with Dr. Sierk and his amazing staff! They get you in right away-anytime and always ensure you're comfortable and satisfied. Your happiness is their top priority! Quick in and out to make sure kids aren't missing school or parents missing work due to the process of braces. We have already seen a great improvement in our children's teeth. Super fun office and the arcade is a little bonus of fun for the kidos. Ice cream prescriptions are the cats meow! Thank you for being so good to our children to ease their nerves when they come to visit. I will always recommend Dr. Sierk to anyone looking for an orthodontist

My son saw Dr.Sierk for almost 2 years. Over $6500 and the braces were paid in full. Due to a job promotion we moved over 3 hours away. Sierk would not refund any of the money and said we could continue to go to them since my sons braces were still on. Driving that far every 4 months and having to take a full day off work was not an option for me. Needless to say it was very disappointing to pay that much money and not have the job completed. I think Sierk should have done some sort of refund or worked out a deal with another orthodontist to finish the braces. So if you aren't 100% sure you will be living in the area for the entire time I would recommend you look elsewhere. Also I was asked by our new dentist who had done my sons orthodontist work as it was not done well, very disappointing when you spend this kind of money.
