As an orthodontist, Im always looking for new ways to enhance each patients treatment experience. Whether Im bringing in new technology, or using a revolutionary treatment process, I want to improve the journey and results. At the same time, I dont want to use the latest-and-greatest process until I know its effective, comfortable, and efficient.

Im also a part-time faculty member with the University of Detroit Mercy Department of Graduate Orthodontics. This keeps me aware of all the developments in our field.
I was born in India and moved to the US when I was 12. I regard Michigan asmy home. My wife Shaffo and I live in Northvillewith our young twins, Ali and Aisha. When Im not caring for patients, I love to spendtime with our large, extended families, wholive throughout southeast Michigan.
Dr. Richard F. Frenchi was born in Pontiac, MI and grew up in Clarkston, MI. He comes from a family with a strong background in dentistry. He went to the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy in Detroit, MI and thereafter attended Albion College to receive his Bachelor of Arts and was a Valedictorian. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated at the top of his dental class. He pursued his passion of dentistry into Orthodontics by recently completing his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy as well.
Dr. Frenchi has lived his entire life in the great state of Michigan surrounded by a large extended family and many friends. Dr. Frenchi lives in Royal Oak with a black Labrador named Whiz. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, dog training, exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Frenchi is passionate about helping our patients love their smile. He is a very talented orthodontist and takes time to get to know our patients and their families. He is committed to ensuring the best possible outcome in the most caring way.
Dr. Ahmed is a native of Cleveland, Ohio where she graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry. She then went on to complete her orthodontic training from the University of Michigan, Go Blue! Dr. Ahmed has been practicing orthodontics since 2009 and has served as the President of the Michigan Association of Orthodontics twice. In addition to private practice, she enjoys teaching orthodontics at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where she is a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Ahmed is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She is passionate about orthodontics and loves to see the difference it makes in a persons smile and confidence.
