Dr. Shumway Graduated from UW Madison with a biology degree. Before attending Marquette University School of Dentistry, he worked as a marine biologist with National Marine Fisheries. In 2004, he graduated with honors from Marquette School of Dentistry. After spending several years working and learning dentistry, he decided to open his own practice in Slinger, WI in 2008. In 2014, he opened a second location in Kewaskum, WI.
Dr. Shumway was drawn to dentistry due to a love of artwork and science. To succeed in dentistry you need to not only understand the science, but also appreciate the artistry to create beautiful smiles. Dr. Shumway has developed his practice to be family friendly and therefore, treats patients of all ages.
Dr. Nick Rogness is originally from Strum, WI. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in biology before heading to Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors.
Outside of dentistry, you may find Dr. Nick out on the golf course. He also likes to hunt, fish, and cheer for the Badgers, Packers, Brewers and Bucks. Most of all, he loves spending time with family, friends, and his wife Malea.

Had AWESOME cleaning. Hygienist was very sweet and personable. My teeth feel so good after she cleans them. She was very thorough and gentle. Highly recommend Melissa and Shumway Dental. !!!!!!!

Dr. Zocher and his assistant put me and my daughter totally at ease during our first appointment. He spent at least 20 minutes explaining to me in detail the issues with my daughter's teeth and a multitude of options. He made me feel totally comfortable with the plan going forward and also gave me complete authority over how to proceed based on the information he provided. To say I am impressed is an understatement. Take your kids to Dr. Zocher!

Our family has had nothing but great experiences at Shumway. Their family room is great for the kids, everyone is very friendly and professional, and I especially love how they've always been super straightforward about costs and different treatment options and I've never felt pushed to get work done that wasn't necessary. (UPDATE: We've been a handful of times now since this original review, and they never cease to amaze me! Today, they blew me away by giving us a special discounted price after there was a problem with our dental plan. Thank you!)

Dentist is great. When I called from out of town for an antibiotic for swollen tooth, the receptionist said that if I couldn't get in for an appointment, the doctor wouldn't give a prescription.

It was my first time taking my 2 1/2 year old here and we had a great experience! I called to let them know I was going to be a little late and they were so friendly about it and the girl even told me to drive safely (cute!)...no attitude whatsoever about my tardiness. As a mom I appreciate this attitude very much! Anyways, the hygienist was really good with my son and showed him everything and let him play around with some tools :) the dentist came in and he was also super friendly and explained everything to me. Also very good with my son. We had a great experience and I'm glad I switched myself over and will be switching my husband over as well. I noticed the prices are lower than what we had been paying out of pocket elsewhere which I also appreciate. Thanks Shumway Family Dental!
