Showalter Family Dentistry was founded by Dr. Ken Showalter in 1980 when he and his wife moved to Searcy to start a family. Dr. Showalter had practiced dentistry in Jacksonville for five years before moving to Searcy. He proceeded to build a well-respected and successful single doctor practice on Vine Street near Ahlf Junior High School for the next 27 years.

In 2008, Dr. Showalter moved his practice to the newly renovated Beebe-Capps clinic where he now practices. This move was made to accommodate his son, Blake, who was completing his dental education and planning to move back to Searcy. In May 2008, Dr. Blake Showalter and his wife moved to Searcy. Dr. Blake and Dr. Ken have been in practice together at the Beebe Capps location ever since.

Ken was born in Searcy, Ark., with both of his parents being long-time White County residents. He spent most of his childhood, however, in small towns in Northeast Arkansas. He graduated from high school in Tuckerman and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University.

Blake received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2008 and subsequently returned to Searcy to begin practicing dentistry with his father. Blake is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arkansas State Dental Association, and the Central District Dental Society.

I have been seeing Dr. Blake since I moved to Searcy in 2009. My kids and husband and mother see him, as well. We all love him and would highly recommend! He always prepares you for your procedure and makes sure you understand. He has always gone above and beyond for us. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful dentist right here in our hometown!

We invite you to visit us at our 2616 West Beebe-Capps location, which provides a contemporary, tranquil setting for all your treatment needs. We are currently accepting all new patients, children and adults. Emergencies are always welcome.

Our caring and professional staff seek to make your dental experience comfortable and anxiety-free. Our dental team offers nearly 40 years of experience as well as knowledge of the most state-of-the-art techniques, offering our patients the highest quality of care.

Dr Blake Showalter goes above and beyond to take care of his patients. We are always greeted with a smile when you enter the office! He makes sure you are always comfortable and gives great service, whether in his office or if you have an emergency on the weekend!

Always a great experience! Quality care, affordable services, honest feedback. Dr. Blake has gone above and beyond providing dental care for our family. We especially respect his ability to present factual information while keeping the our best interest in mind.... he hasn't ever encouraged unnecessary procedures. His practice reflects his character and integrity.

I have a tooth broken in half and no dental insurance. Since they've done full xrays on me previously I call them and I can come in and have xrays then come back another day to have the tooth extracted SO they get two office visits a xray fee JUST all extra profit they wasn't worried about helping me they have to confirm it's the tooth bothering me WELL it's in my mouth and broken PRETTY SURE it's the one that needs extracted!!!

I am 37 years old and I have an appointment in Little Rock to have my first ever tooth removed. It's the tooth beside my top front tooth. I have been hitting it when I chew since Dr Blake put crowns on some of my back teeth. He attempted to shape several of my original teeth to match the short crowns but didn't fix the problem. My bite is still terrible. In about 5 months, I've seen 2 dentists and a specialist that won't or can't fix my teeth. I have had zero work done, even with crying and begging. I've taken antibiotics a few times and tons of ibuprofen. Dr Blake said his work was right and I needed extensive work done, so why won't anyone help me? Why have I been told that I don't need extensive work done or that any work I get done will just break again because of my bite being wrong? I can't even get the crumbling filling redone in my front tooth, that Dr Blake said he would refund. I haven't received that refund. The only thing I can get a dentist to do is pull my top lateral incisor (in the front) and replace the bone loss with a bone graft and then do an implant and crown for almost $7,000 dollars. Nobody has to believe me about this being Dr Blake's fault, but if you allow him to work on your teeth, I hope you receive the same service I received.

This was the only dentist office in town that was able to squeeze me in right away for an emergency visit. Super friendly through the entire process. Doc did everything to make me comfortable, calm, and he even cared and was understanding that I did not have insurance to help with the cost. He worked with me to find the best solution. I've had many bad painful experiences with dental procedures elsewhere in the past, and I'm shocked that I felt absolutely no pain this time (I had to get a cracked, infected molar taken out) and it was over before I knew it. I HIGHLY recommend.

I have never been one to deal well with going to the dentist however I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere of this dentistry. The staff is all very welcoming and they have went above and beyond to get my teeth taken care of after previous dentist didnt do so well. They jumped in the fix a problem they didnt even create! They are great!

I've been going to Showalter Dentistry for several years. My entire family goes there. When I was younger I was terrified to go because the passed dentists I used failed to care if I was in pain or not. Now @ Showalter I'm always happy for my next visit and if I ever need any dental work done they get me taken care. Not only am I pain free, but I am always very comfortable with all the procedures. My kids love going here as well. Best dentists in town, hands down will always recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ken Showalter since 1983. Dr. Ken has taken care of my dental needs with the greatest professionalism for many, many years. Both of my daughters have been patients of Dr. Ken since they were practically toddlers. They grew up going to see Dr. Ken and had no fear of going to the dentist as children because they loved Dr. Ken. My elderly mother sees Dr. Ken too so he is taking care of three generations. We are also privileged to know his son, Dr. Blake, who joined his dad several years ago. Their office is very modern and several patient rooms have floor to ceiling windows with a view of the beautifully landscaped court yard. The entire staff is very professional, courteous and friendly. I would recommend Showalter Family Dentistry without hesitation.

Went in due to severe pain in my mouth. Dr. Blake treated me so rudely and talked to me like I was the scum of the Earth. I left in tears, went to another dentist, and got my issue resolved. I am so disappointed and shocked to have been treated in such a way after hearing snd seeing so many other good reviews. I would prefer to pay another dentist out of pocket than to ever step foot in this establishment again.

I started seeing Blake earlier this year. Very professional and works very quickly. All of the staff are super friendly and work well together. I no longer hate going to the dentist like I used to!
