Dr. Sachno was born and raised in Staunton, Virginia. She attended Robert E. Lee High School, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia. Dr. Sachno is a 2002 graduate of the VCU School of Dentistry. She served on active duty in the U.S. Navy for four years as a general dentist. In 2006, she returned to Richmond and worked as an associate general dentist for one year before accepting a full-time faculty position in the Department of General Practice at the VCU School of Dentistry. In 2009, she began a three-year orthodontic residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she graduated in 2012 with both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry. She is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member in the VCU School of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, where she teaches interceptive orthodontics to the pediatric residents.
Dr. Sachno has a passion for teaching and makes patient education a top priority. She also enjoys giving back to her community through the Virginia Mission of Mercy Project, as well as dental mission trips, such as a recent mission trip to Nicaragua. She is an avid tennis player, loves spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys traveling, swimming, skiing, hiking, and cycling.

Met with Dr. Sachno and staff last week to discuss cosmetic objectives. Absolutely the best run, most competent and friendly dental office I have ever visited. Dr. Sachno "chair side" manner is outstanding. My only regret is that I wish was 50 years younger and meeting her for the first time to begin my orthodontic journey.

Got my braces off and lost my retainer at work they told me it was 25 dollars to get a it replaced each time I lost it once then I accident step on mine at work after lunch accidents happen but I try to call them an there closed every Friday so I have to wait all weekend I call Monday they charge me 150 dollars for upper and lower retainer a piece of plastic just paid had braces to be put on what was the point of that if your going to charge 150 dollars every time it gets lost, I can't wait any longer or the money I just spent on braces is just going to go right out the window

My family had an outstanding experience with Dr Sachno and her staff. My son just completed almost 2 years of wearing braces, and each visit included personal greetings and conversation. The office staff is very professional and helpful and always a joy to interact with (especially Beth!) Dr Sachno and her assistants are beyond kind and make their clients feel welcome and comfortable. I cannot compliment this orthodontics practice enough!!

I recently completed an 18 month bite alignment at Short Pump Orthodontics and couldn't be more pleased with the results and experience! From the beginning Beth was there completing the financials and scheduling with her friendly attitude. Then the staff took such good care of me with their knowledge and care, especially Sheryl with the attention she gave me in preparing my teeth for correction at each check point. Dr Sachno was excellent with her recommendations for correction and the personal care and attention she gave me with every visit. My appointments were always punctual and the staff was very efficient with the time. This office comes highly recommended for their professional friendly services and excellent client care. Thank you to everyone there!!

Short Pump Orthodontics is a great place. They care about you and are so sweet. Have enjoyed coming here the last year with braces and always had a good experience. They are super consistent with their customers.

My daughter had her first appointment today, and OMG everybody in this practice was so nice, helpful and professional. From the receptionist, to the nurse and the doctor. Even my daughter said "mom, this feels so weird, they are all so nice" lol . The doctor office was super clean, not crowded and 6ft distanced. Highly recommend.

I got my braces done by Dr. Sachno way back in 2012 when she had first opened the practice. Her work is so amazing that my teeth are still in pristine conditions almost 7 years later. I could never be happier with professionalism, care, and high detail orientation that gets get complimented every time I see a dentist or get x-rays. #HappiestFirstPatient :)
