Many of these positive reviews are so obviously done by his staff, I had seen 1 of them in the office writing it as my daughter checked in. No one truly talks like that..She didnt realize I had peeked over and saw her as clear as day because of the angle she was sitting..So heres the real scoop , Dr.Short is an Egomanic ,I over heard him brag on the phone he had bought the newest top Mercedes sedan going, so he needs to up his patient load the next few weeks...Dr..Short, barely sees patients for longer than 10 min,,has his staff do most of the work, cleanings, fitting braces, etc...His office staff are not an impressive or friendly bunch ...My over all opinion is Dr Short is Old school, not made aware of newer better braces, or techniques. I truly feel Dr Short is not an impressive Orthodontist, but truly over rated, extremely Overly Priced , has terrible patient skills, and a real Pompous , Money hungry want to be Business man..Do not waste your money and time.seeing him..Most of the positive reviews I can guarantee were lies, because He does NOT work with Anyone unless 75%of the Money is in his hands, and is actually pretty rude guy. He obviously went into practice to make $$ not caring about his patients, for he lacks the true genuine care and concern a real Orthodontist has...

Dr. Steven Short is by far the worst orthodontist I have ever met, I was 10 when he was treating me, I am currently 27.. I always felt uncomfortable going into the office the staff excluding the receptionist was very rude and seemed to be annoyed everytime it was time to treat me, I had been wearing my braces for 4 years and got one of my gums infected from them dropping glue inbetween my gum and tooth, they did nothing for me, around that time I remember my mom was going through an ugly divorce, and it was becoming difficult for her to pay for every appt, so she would put off appts until she could pay, until one day she came into his office crying and explaining her situation trying to adjust the payment plan, and he was very cold, instead that day he removed my braces and gave me some type of mouth gaurd.. the way he treated my mother and I was by far the worst, I would never recommend someone like him to anyone, not even my dog. And the fact that this happend 17 years ago tells me nothing has changed about him of his staff.. SMH if I could give him -stars I would.

Dr. Short is the best! His staff is top notch and very courteous and kind! He is very knowledgeable about orthodontics and takes his time with each patient and more importantly the parent of the patient! I highly recommend Dr. Short for all of your orthodontic needs!

In my opinion, this Orthodontist is arrogant and rude to say the least. During the whopping 15 minutes that Dr. Short spent to have an initial consultation with me, he made his best attempt to try to intimidate me into agreeing to have much more work done than necessary (I think the term is "up-sell"). Initially Dr. Short was extremely firm on the fact that he would not consider aligning my two top teeth unless he gave me an entire mouth-full of braces, tops and bottoms and I would be required to wear them for 2 years (BTW: I am over 50 years of age). I was not interested and the moment I was about to leave the room, Dr. Short quickly said "do you want me to give you a quote for just the tops?" I said "why would you do that when you just now told me that you would not consider doing any work on my teeth unless you did work on the tops AND bottoms?" At that moment he became even more rude, he looked at his watch and told me that he took time from his previous scheduled day to consult with me and that he had to go now. In my opinion Dr. Short literally tried to make me feel guilty for spending his time (15 minutes) in a consultation in which, for obvious reasons, I decided not to hire him. I would NEVER recommend this Orthodontist to anyone.

Dr. Short and staff are awesome - I have two tweens, one in a retainer and the other in braces. His prices are reasonable. My daughter has had two issues with her brace wire and the staff always is on hand to help, even after hours.

In my opinion, this Orthodontist is arrogant and rude to say the least.
