Dr. Shores received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. She has been a healthcare professional for over 20 years, first as a dental hygienist and then as a general dentist. Dr. Shores is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
She is a pioneer in cosmetic dentistry and facial esthetics, opening the first dental spa in Augusta, GA. Her love of head and neck anatomy have honed her skills using injectable therapy for smile enhancement and total facial esthetics, as well as applying these agents for TMJ/orofacial pain, bruxism and trigger point injections.Dr. Shores is a highly respected faculty member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She enjoys sharing her passion by helping to teach the art and science of facial esthetic enhancements.
Dr. Shores is married to Brent Shores. They got married while in their first year of college and have one daughter, Kristen, who graduated from Evans High School. They are members of New Hope Worship Center here in Augusta. Dr. Shores and her family love the Augusta area. You may find them out kayaking on the river or camping out at Clarks Hill Lake on their time off.
The Dr. Shores dental philosophy is to provide her patients with the best dental care available while treating their total wellness. As a family dentist, she believes that health begins with the mouth and she gives her best to make sure her patients have healthy, beautiful and confident smiles. I was a little embarrassed due to the fact I hadn't seen a dentist in a while My dental assistant, which I won't attempt spelling her name, but she was AWESOME!!! Everyone from the front desk straight to the back of the office, EVERYONE was Professional and NICE Dr. Shores is Amazing and everything was explained properly. The level of dental care I received today is nothing short of 1000% I can't wait to go back

Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed the services I received from Dr. Shores. Unfortunately I had to seek dental care elsewhere due to them being out of network for my insurance. Every time I spoke with someone about my outstanding balance, they were unprofessional & very rude & disrespectful. Dani & Dr. Shores' husband were extremely rude to me. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I simply asked to speak with the dentist about the issue. They scheduled me an appointment to talk to the dentist & when I arrived they told me she was "busy" & I would have to wait an hour. I told them I would return before they closed at 5:00 & when I did, they locked the door & wouldn't answer the phone....

My husband and I both really like Dr. Shores and her team. Her clinic is tastefully decorated and inviting, her staff is super sweet and friendly, and Dr. Shores is a caring dentist who listens to her patients and does everything she can to make the dentists chair not such a scary place to be. Highly recommend her to anyone who asks!

This team is fantastic. Everyone I have ever worked with there is so kind and attentive. Dr. Shores even remembered what I was going to school for, even though I had not seen her in quit some time. I can't say enough great things about this practice.

After 10ish so years I went to a dentist. No cavities but I do have a cracked tooth. This place is a nice, make ya feel at home place. Walked in to something that could of been my living room. Grandpa in the in the chair watching some Judge Judy. Cousin Gen Z in the chair playing on her phone. Welcomed by Dani, truly a hard worker! Chris cleaned up the teeth very nicely with minimum soreness, with the stories and questions knowing you can't answer back. Dr. Tanya is a very Happy person! She definitely loves what she does. Thank you!
