Dr. Joe is an LANAP/LAR (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure /Laser-Assisted Regeneration) certified dentist. LANAP/LAR treatment is one of the most successful protocols in treating gum disease because it can target the source of the inflammation without hurting or removing any healthy gum tissue, slow or stop attachment loss and decrease pocket depth, and allowing the body to recover from the chronic infection without the need for scalpel or sutures.
Along with holding a doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Jason also holds a Masters degree in public health and a Masters degree in physiology and biophysics. He enjoys giving back to underserved children through the ADAs Give Kids a Smile program, along with mission trips to Jamaica with other dental professionals. During dental school, he was recognized for his achievements in prosthodontics and received awards for his work.
Like his father, Dr. Jason also enjoys spending as much time as possible being a dentist. When he isnt seeing patients, he enjoys physical fitness, running with his dog Sydney, and spending time with his family and friends.

It was only my first visit but, I had a great experience. Everyone was kind and helpful from the front desk to the staff who checked my teeth and did my cleaning. Angela was who was with me the most and she did a great job. I haven't been to the dentist in years and did a lot of research before choosing another; so far, I'm very glad I chose this one. Thank you to the Dr, gum specialist, front desk, and even the accounting person. (Sorry I dont remember names!) Everyone was great!

My experience at Shoreline Dental in West Haven, ct. has always been a good one. Going to the dentist is not something I have ever " enjoyed" but this practice has always put me at ease. My regular scheduled teeth cleaning by Kathy has always been without stress. She is patient and kind despite my anxieties. Today was for a more in-depth procedure. First Luisa was encouraging and reassuring which helped me make the appointment. Today Angela Sciuto as dental assistant reassured me that my care was in the best hands with Dr. Cicero. It all proved true. They were both gentle and kind and eased my anxiety over the procedure. I was very "satisfied with their attentive care.

Second time i had to have a root canal and crown. Everyone was amazing felt no pain the whole time!! They are the best at shoreline especially debbie!! So sweet and patient. When i ask questions with a million things in my mouth she always tries to answer!!! .

As someone who has a genetic condition (Ehlers Danlos) and is also neurodivergent, going to the dentist has always been painful and difficult. This practice is truly excellent and caring. From the administrative staff to the dental assistants and dentists, all are welcoming, friendly, and warm. They truly listen and work with you on any concerns. Special shout out to Dr. Cicero who is as caring as she is talented, as well as Deb who is so warm, empathic, and knowledgeable. She was amazing as a support during a painful procedure, which made a world of difference. Highly recommend the whole practice.

The entire team, from the first call I made until I walked out with a brand new smile were spectacular. I am a very scared patient. I have a condition that causes Novocain, lidocaine and the like to not work. So most if not all of the dental work I had to do previously I could feel. I was more than scared I was traumatized. That's why it took me 20 years to build up the courage to walk back through the dental office door. The staff here did everything they could to assuage my fears and work around the trauma response that I was having. I am ecstatic with the way my smile is now and eternally grateful for the wonderful people in this office who helped me to get through this. I highly recommend shoreline dental for any dental work you may need, especially if you're a fearful patient.

FYI: I plan to copy and paste this review on every available platform for this group. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the individuals at Shoreline Dental Care, both in West Haven AND in Milford. The staff - from the front desk, to the billing office, and certainly to the Dentists could not be more amazing. Everyone at all levels is so professional and polite. It is very clear that the staff enjoy where they work and like what they do. Who looks forward and actually LIKES going to the dentist? Is it crazy to say that I actually do now just because of how awesome everyone is there?! I specifically HAVE to shout out my girl Aicha. I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting and speaking with her as she was temporarily covering in the Milford location last week but was thrilled that I got to see her at her primary location in West Haven when I went in for an emergency extraction yesterday. It was such a tough and painful day yesterday and when I walked in and saw her, I wanted to hug her (but didn't! haha). Each time she has made me feel SO comfortable. I really want to recognize what an asset she is. I do hope that she gets to read this (Hi Aicha!) and gets some type of recognition. Because of her, and certainly many many other members of your staff, I have recommended Shoreline Dental to many people. As I said, I think most people don't "enjoy" going to the dentist but with groups like this, I'm just sorry I didn't discover them sooner. I also want to take time to say how unbelievably grateful I am for Dr. Joseph Tartagni was incredible. Yesterday was my first time (and hopefully my last!) having a tooth pulled and he made me feel so at ease. I can't thank him enough for not only seeing me so quickly but making it as pleasant as an experience as having a tooth pulled could be. Totally professional, efficient, and above all else - SO kind. His son, Dr. Jason Tartagni, I met with at the Milford location as well and can say all the same things. What an absolute top notch practice you all have. 500 stars! Thank you again! I've been a patient at Shoreline Dental since the practice started many, many years ago. It is the only Dentist group that I would use. Each dentist is very, very good in their field and they perform each procedure perfectly, accurately and with a sense of pride. The office staff, dental assistants and hygienists are amazing and I give everyone the highest praise! This is definitely a five star dental practice!!!!!

My Family has been going to shorline Dental care for more than 17 years .Dr Joseph T. has been woderful and compassionate . Ive always put my Family first and we were always in good hands . From the receptionist ,office manages and Dental assistants and Hygienist made us always Welcome and part of a Family. Recently Ive decided to have my teeth done cosmetically . Dr.Jason T and Amy was the one who had encouged and helped me decide .Im So glad I listened . So I met with Dr Joseph In The West Haven clinic and introduced me to Dr A. Cicero and from the time she started my treatment she has been So gentle ( I always have sensitive teeth )and listens to my concerns. Between the tretment I had a cracked tooth and needed immediate treatment and she was So compassionate and accomadated my needs . And from the office manager Luisa to the Dental assistants Aicha and Debbie all made me feel like family and the compassion and kindness when I was going thru pain made it easy So far evrything is going as planned for my cosmetic work . Shoreline Dental care has a wonderful team. The front desk, hygienists, DMD are phenomenal. I was there as a new patient and got the root canal done the same day. The hygienist and the Doctor took their time to explain the procedure in detail. Great job.
