Dr. Joe is an LANAP/LAR (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure /Laser-Assisted Regeneration) certified dentist. LANAP/LAR treatment is one of the most successful protocols in treating gum disease because it can target the source of the inflammation without hurting or removing any healthy gum tissue, slow or stop attachment loss and decrease pocket depth, and allowing the body to recover from the chronic infection without the need for scalpel or sutures.
Along with holding a doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Jason also holds a Masters degree in public health and a Masters degree in physiology and biophysics. He enjoys giving back to underserved children through the ADAs Give Kids a Smile program, along with mission trips to Jamaica with other dental professionals. During dental school, he was recognized for his achievements in prosthodontics and received awards for his work.
Like his father, Dr. Jason also enjoys spending as much time as possible being a dentist. When he isnt seeing patients, he enjoys physical fitness, running with his dog Sydney, and spending time with his family and friends.

I recently had some work done at Shoreline Dental Care which was supposed to be just a routine Cleaning. It turns out that flossing on a daily basis is more important than I thought, and I needed a return visit. My Hygienist Kelli was very comforting and gentle, and answered all the questions I had as well as educate me on how to take care of my teeth. It was a great experience from start to finish, and my teeth and gums feel great. Thank you Kelli and the rest of the Shoreline Dental Family. See you soon.

The reviews is what caught my attention, but the experience is what is keeping me as a patient. The staff is amazing, the dentist is very professional and polite. Amy was the hygienist and she is making me feel like a movie star even with my teeth currently jacked up, lol. I am putting my faith into this place because I know they can help me get my oral care back on track.... I love them already

FYI: I plan to copy and paste this review on every available platform for this group. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the individuals at Shoreline Dental Care, both in West Haven AND in Milford. The staff - from the front desk, to the billing office, and certainly to the Dentists could not be more amazing. Everyone at all levels is so professional and polite. It is very clear that the staff enjoy where they work and like what they do. Who looks forward and actually LIKES going to the dentist? Is it crazy to say that I actually do now just because of how awesome everyone is there?! I specifically HAVE to shout out my girl Aicha. I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting and speaking with her as she was temporarily covering in the Milford location last week but was thrilled that I got to see her at her primary location in West Haven when I went in for an emergency extraction yesterday. It was such a tough and painful day yesterday and when I walked in and saw her, I wanted to hug her (but didn't! haha). Each time she has made me feel SO comfortable. I really want to recognize what an asset she is. I do hope that she gets to read this (Hi Aicha!) and gets some type of recognition. Because of her, and certainly many many other members of your staff, I have recommended Shoreline Dental to many people. As I said, I think most people don't "enjoy" going to the dentist but with groups like this, I'm just sorry I didn't discover them sooner. I also want to take time to say how unbelievably grateful I am for Dr. Joseph Tartagni was incredible. Yesterday was my first time (and hopefully my last!) having a tooth pulled and he made me feel so at ease. I can't thank him enough for not only seeing me so quickly but making it as pleasant as an experience as having a tooth pulled could be. Totally professional, efficient, and above all else - SO kind. First time at this practice after looking at the reviews, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. From the receptionist to the dentist everyone was highly professional. I had my first cleaning at Shoreline Dental Care. It was by far the most thorough cleaning I have ever had. The front office staff were friendly and Dr. Jason came up with a plan to complete necessary dental work over time so it was the best treatment for me and my wallet!

When reclined in their patient care chair, and looking up at the ceiling while they work on your teeth, the lights have dead bugs, insects, and flies in them. Also, the handicap access ramp handrail and concrete has lots of white paint or bird droppings on it making it look unsanitary. This is for the Milford location only. West Haven was not like this. The rest of office and patient care areas are clean. Both locations the staff is considerate and friendly.

Mellisa , maris and dr.tartagni we're all amazing. I had severe anxiety about wisdom tooth extraction but they all made me feel at home. From X-rays to the actual procedure I have no complaints!! Procedure done less than a half hour! I was in and out. Look no further shoreline dental should be your first choice !!! Thank you guys

Shoreline is the best. I have been going for a couple years not but most recently worked with Kelli! She's the absolute best! I have always disliked going to the dentist but Kelli and Shoreline make the experience a lot more bearable. Won't be going anywhere else as long as we live nearby!

I never write bad reviews for places and debated doing this, but this place botched something as basic as putting Novocain in my mouth. They took x rays and the hygienist said I needed 8 fillings done which I thought was a lot considering I had no cavities from my previous dentist 8 months prior. When the dentist looked at the x-rays, he said I would only need to do like 3 or 4 and the others were minor. When I came in for the procedure the dentist proceeded to do all 8 in two separate appointments. He first injected so much Novocain that my mouth was numb for like 6-7 hours after he finished and rushed through the procedure. He managed to hit a nerve while giving me the Novocain that left me with numbness and tingling in my face for over a year. My face also swelled up for a week and I got an earache as a result. Also I now have a hole in one my fillings, although I'm not sure if that's due to quality or just normal wear and tear. That being said, the filling is only a year and a half old. The staff also preceded to tell me I had periodontitis and would need an expensive deep scaling procedure to fix it. After my bad experience with the fillings, I went to a new dentist who told me my gums were fine and it wasn't necessary. One pro is that all of the staff were super friendly, even though I felt like I was in a car dealership the entire time.
