  • Endodontic procedures done by a skilled specialist involve minimal or no pain. Endodontists use state-of-the-art technology to find and treat disease deep inside the tooth. This allows them to work accurately and efficiently while keeping you as comfortable as possible.

    We strive to provide a gentle and reassuring atmosphere of utmost comfort. To simplify administrative details, all paperwork can be filled out in advance when possible so that you can feel at ease while you are with us.

    Patients visiting Shore Endodontics can feel calm and comfortable knowing we offer a number of different sedation dentistry options. Sedation dentistry may be the right choice for many patients, including those suffering from excessive anxiety or fear relating to their endodontic treatment, children, and those with special needs. We offer both nitrous oxide, and intravenous (IV) sedation options to ensure our patients are comfortable and calm throughout their entire experience with us. Shore Endodontics works with Board Certified Anesthesiologists to provide our patients with the highest level of care.

    Was recommended by my dentist made appointment was cancelled twice never called back to reschedule definitely would stay away from this outfit. Bear in mind this was for root canal. This was for 2 months in waiting.

    Paid out of pocket for a scan not covered. Then, received additional bill for "consultation" never explained would be billed for, nor which was covered by insurance. Do they expect me to pay for a scan but not have the results explained unless they get paid again, without even informing of a consultation claim to begin with? Do they expect patients to whip out their Endodontics degrees and interpret the results themselves? Really now? Then, they refused to send/release my scan to another practitioner since the "consult" fee was not paid yet. When in discussions with them at the front desk, they were very rude, condescending, arrogant, actually extortion like. Gave 1 star because of no option for lower grade available. Will file compliant with the NJ Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs, Board of Dentistry.

    Where do I begin with the debacle? I saw Dr. Micallef regarding a dental infection I am dealing with and after a CBCT scan, he stated he needed to consult with a partner in the group who specializes in this area and would call me with the prognosis. Well I wait until Monday afternoon having not received a call and upon calling the receptionist answered and said please hold.....10 minutes later I hung up. Today I called after still not getting a call back and was put on hold for 8 minutes after explaining to the receptionist the situation.....so I hung up. I received a call back finally but it was the receptionist, not Dr. Micallef (which is a joke that he couldn't take the time to call his patient), who advised me what the doctors stated. Given the news she said I had to go to an oral surgeon as they do not perform that kind of work there.....so then why even see me to begin with when I explained what possibly needed to be done???? Furthermore, when I asked for a copy of the CBCT scan so I can go to an oral surgeon I was told I would have to pay $50 for a copy....after already paying $135 for the scan. What kind of crooked place are you running there????? I will make sure to NOT recommend your business to anyone and everyone based on my experience.

    Had my first root canal today. Dr. Gupta and Kristy made it a great experience. I was so worried but they were so friendly and professional I felt completely relaxed. Highly recommend!

    Two root canals twenty years apart both by Dr. Gupta, the second one today, this time a molar with four canals. I recommend Shore Endodontics as much as I possibly can. All staff are motivated and capable with a happy office atmosphere. I cannot imagine a better set up operation for this dental specialty. Excellence is the standard. Thank you again Dr. Gupta and Melissa the twin and to all the staff!

    Was referred for a double root canal, should have been completed in one visit. After working for over 30 min. on one tooth was told I needed to see a surgeon to have the tooth pulled and return for the second root canal. I was then charged for all anticipated work even though it wasn't done. I needed to return the next day because my tooth was left with such sharp edges that mu tongue was being cut. Why charge for a root canal on a tooth that had to be removed? Why charge for all work upfront? Went to my previous endodontist, I have moved out of the area, who removed the tooth and scheduled to complete any needed work. Called and successfully negotiated a refund for work not completed. Called for status on refund, told it could take two more weeks. In the meantime, I have to pay the credit card the full amount to avoid interest charges. I'm sure others had better results but this was a nightmare for me.

    Best root canal ever- lol! Seriously, the office is friendly and efficient. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Procedure was completely painless and the staff really put me at ease. They gave me some ibuprofen when it was over but I had no pain at all after the numbing wore off. I took 2 ibuprofen later as advised just in case but I honestly didn't need it al all.

    The entire staff was great. From setting up the appointment, to reviewing insurance and payment, to doing the procedure. Everyone ensured I understood all the details of my visit. Most important, they were concerned about me. They wanted to make sure I didn't experience any pain during the procedure and listened to me when I expressed my anxieties about the procedure. They provided clear follow-up care. I hope I never need another root canal but if I do I know who I use to have it done! I went to the Toms River location and the facility was well kept and very clean.
