Dr. Shor earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. After dental school, Dr. Shor went on to pursue a three year specialty training in Prosthodontics from the University of Washington in Seattle. In addition to the specialty training he successfully defended his research thesis for which he received a Master of Science Degree.
Dr. Shors area of expertise includes: Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, Complete and Partial dentures, and Full Mouth Reconstruction. Dr. Shor is also an accomplished dental technician an extremely valuable skill when it comes to the treatment of complex problems and cosmetic dentistry.
Upon completion of his graduate training, Dr. Shor has served as an assistant director at the Graduate Prosthodontics program at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Shor continues to serve as an Affiliate Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington.
Dr. Alexander Shor has published numerous research and technical innovations papers in clinical and scientific peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Alexander Shors greatest passion is his work! Besides dentistry, his other passions are landscape photography and travel. He also likes sports and reading. He enjoys spending time with his wife Kavita Shor and daughter Sasha.

Kavita Shor BDS, MSD is a recognized specialist in prosthodontics, a dental specialty which encompasses restorative and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Kavita Shor received her dental degree from Goa University in Goa, India. After several years in private practice, Dr. Shor went on to pursue a three year specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of Washington in Seattle. In addition to the specialty training she successfully defended her research thesis for which she received a Master of Science Degree.
She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington and also serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the center for Pediatric Dentistry. She maintains a part time clinical practice in South Lake Union area of Seattle.
Dr. Shor has published numerous research and technical innovation papers in clinical and scientific peer-reviewed journals. She is actively involved in teaching and research at the University of Washington.
Dr. Kavita Shor is married to Alex Shor and they have a daughter, Sasha. Besides work, Dr. Shor enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling, cooking different cuisines of the world and classical music.

After making a move to downtown Seattle, we needed to find a new dentist. I asked residents at our high end retirement facility for recommendations. One dentist stood out. Dr. Shor. His emphasis is on patient health and welfare without the emphasis on fluff. This is a very serious dental practice. It worked out that because of a change in schedule, Dr Shor gave me my dental cleaning. He is amazing. So thorough and so fast. Best cleaning ever. He was also very thorough about the state of my teeth and discussing my dental health. I am an 80 year old, and he spoke to me about the dental issues that occur as one ages. The hygienist cleaned my wife's teeth, and my wife said it was the best cleaning she ever had. So glad Dr. Shor is our new dentist. We look forward to a long and continuing relationship.

Dr. Shor is the best dentist I have ever gone to. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but makes a point to engage with the patient about overall dental health and how to set goals around it. He is very personable and makes the discomfort of the dental work seem comfortable.

I cannot recommend Dr. Shor enough. I have a highly unusual oral anatomy due to a rare medical condition and require a complicated oral prothesis to speak and eat properly. I've had many prosthodontists over the years, but I have never encountered one as thorough and as talented as Dr. Shor. His work has exceeded my expectations with what I thought was possible. I now live on the east coast, but will be flying to Seattle for any of my future prosthodontic needs- it would be worth every penny.

I have been seeing Dr. Shor for several years now. I get my teeth cleaned sever times a year. I have never been so good at taking care of my teeth since I met Dr. Shor and he gave me the straight talk about how I was caring not for my teeth. Dr. Shor is very straight forward with me and has saved me thousands by teaching me proper self care for my teeth. I trust his opinion and have been very pleased with the results.
