Dr. Shoemaker earned her dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry after earning her bachelor's degree from Murray State University, and has since taken numerous postgraduate education courses, specifically selecting programs focusing on neuromuscular dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and comprehensive care. Her most recent cosmetic dentistry training in veneers and bonding allows her to incorporate the latest techniques and technology as she helps you achieve the beautiful smile you've always wanted. Dr. Shoemaker's commitment to lifelong education ensures the highest level of care, both today and tomorrow.
In order to fully support her patients and the team at Shoemaker Family Dental, Dr. Shoemaker maintains professional membership in the American Dental Association, Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics, Academy of General Dentistry, Southern Indiana Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Spear Study Club, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Shoemaker is a 2011 ACE Legacy Award Winner, and you may have seen her feature in Louisville Magazine in 2012. When she's not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband Ron and their son, reading, using Pinterest, and engaging in craft projects.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful! They truly went above and beyond to accommodate me in an urgent situation! Everyone was pleasant and so welcoming from the front desk to the provider! Truly a wonderful experience!

I love Dr Shoemaker & all of her staff. They are all so friendly & down to earth. They make you feel very comfortable no matter what issues you are dealing with. I recently finished up Invisalign treatment with them & Dr Shoemaker did a fabulous job! I'm so glad someone recommended them to me a few years ago.

Friendly, courteous staff. I have never waited very long when going into this office. I have seen Dr. Hammond, and she has been very thorough and has always addressed any concerns that I had with my teeth/dental work.

Original visit was ok, staff was nice. Very disappointed that my information was not forwarded to the oral surgeon and my request for sedation was missed. They do not appear to have things under control.

So far my first visit was more like a consultation and it went very good. Everyone is very professional, willing to educate you very clearly. Would be 5 stars if they were a one stop shop. I have to go to two other specialist and back to them to complete one service. Not really fond of that, it can add up rather quickly and time consuming.
